O_o It doesn't make any sense. Also, keep in mind that your downloads pass through many routers on internet. Once you learn about making signatures, it's basically no more work than checksumming. And you get both file consistency and a sigil of trust in one go, no matter whether you got the binaries from your shady friend on IRC or if you suspect MCA's website has gotten hacked and the binaries replaced. With a signatures you could tell, but a checksum could be re-computed by anyone. i think easiest way is just upload downloaded exe file to virsutotal. You will have date with first submisions + scan with 55 viruses. mca64Launcher.exe is always uploaded there on realese so you will be sure if all is ok.

Upgrades can be seen when the caster clicks on a unit and if you see a forge spinning, ebay lighting up etc... you dont like and thats ok. I preffer watching stream with obs mode. Raven cast with obs mode for me was much better than Sayle, last BWreunsion tour. I Wonder how it looks for viewers, please aswer in poll Poll: Do you prefer to watch cast with obs mode (supply, unit counts etc) (25) without it. Does anyone know if MCA will be updated to fix the LAG/Drop when we play online on Battle.net over the same network. I see this program fixes some issues like we can see each others chat in the lobby and we can play online battle.net together. The moment we have someone else online join one of us gets dropped at the beginning. If anyone knows of a fix for this issue it would be greatly appreciated, been trying to figure it out since 1998!!!!!

Have you tried setting different ports for the two computers trying to play together on the same network?

If you havent already set, put your computers to static ip, and have netmask to 255.255.255.255. Also change game port on other computer to 6113. If that still doesnt work you need to manually add some rules to your router using terminal. http://www.icyhell.net/starcraft-on-b-net-with-2-computers/ (ignore the netmask on that page) You could still get some ip conflicts when hosting games/joining games but try rejoin couple of times when all this is set and it will work. Good Luck!

There is nothing more anticlimatic than realizing that one player is that far behind than another (even if it's obvious from watching the game) and that their chance of catching back up is very low. It's also really annoying when it becomes the focus of a cast. Where everything gets judged by who has the higher supply (or difference) depending on the matchup. I would like to believe that from watching the game, you can have a rough idea of whose is winning or how close it is. When we're not watching professionals, how much money one is floating on is significant. I would want to know if one player could have won because he was at 2000 / 1000 the entire time, while the other guy was at 100 / 100 the entire game.

Many legitimate tools for StarCraft may be listed as a virus because it behaves similarly to one but that doesn't mean it is one. Telling people to ignore malware warnings from a program developed by a banned user is like the opposite of good. MCA's launcher is 100% use at your own risk. If I were still a kid and didn't use my computer for anything but games, yeah it's not that big a deal to reset everything from scratch if there's a problem. But anyone who does anything important on their computer probably can't risk a keylogger being installed. MCA is making a kind of do-all program and giving it a lot of power so that it can do these interesting things, but by no means is that common practice even among bwprogrammers. I can really only think of fish launcher as an example of a StarCraft tool which gave warnings, and it actually did have crapware bundled with it.

Not related, but does anyone know how I can get different sound/voice packs for BW? I have watched Scan use Chinese, SC2 (only for some units), and he also has Korean text in his UI. More than anything, I am just curious, because original is best >< Edit: found and looks simple enough! http://www.teamliquid.net/forum/brood-war/363971-sound-packs-remade Now, how to get this Korean text in the UI...

Maybe you wrere thinkin about tec27 APMALERT? which has very hgh ration on virustotal. Anyway trust noone and always use diffrent password for every site and other secure shit. __ mca64 btw i uploaded 104 version today http://mca64.com if you arent scared like others you can download it.

No need to have MPQ archive. for korean text game just ask Scan he will help you. Maybe you wanna Polish text? :D then in mca64Launcher check "StarCraft: Brood War POL" check box, you have there two version to choose.

The UPnP (port forwarding) always gives me a red X. I have also tried hosting without UPnP but still fails. Router firewall is disabled. I used to be able to host games in a previous version of mca, but it has been a couple months since I last played. I am on 2.0.0.104. Does it matter to use Iccup DNS vs Iccup nonDNS? Ideas? Thanks in advance!
