Anyways, I was wondering if any of you bilingual guys here can post something in Korean so I can copy-paste and host on Asia. Something like "Hunters come" or "Hunters expert". I can put the 3v3 or 4v4 myself, usually like "3:3" or "4:4" respectively. Although my version of BW cannot properly display Korean, I'm hoping that when I copy-paste at least the bit-patterns for the Unicode symbols would make sense when viewed by someone with the Korean version of BW. Thanks.

Is that correct ? I just want to be sure that my browser at least is handling the Korean properly so I can be sure that it's being screwed up in BW and not when I copied it from your post.

If you want to be sure, it varies among operating systems but you want to set your system locale to Korean, and change the language pack to Korean. Finally there's an option somewhere for language to display for non-Unicode programs. These are all settings in the Language settings of your OS. This has the downside of making everything Korean, but you can turn it off and restart your PC after you are done playing SC.

Changing the unicode and the regional settings was enough. I guess try that before you do the full thing...

I was able to host a game on the Asian server and people joined. I changed the system locale to Korean and BW started displaying the Korean characters properly and hence I was able to copy the Korean posted by Birdie. Thank you all. Also if it wouldn't be too much trouble. Can you guys give me a couple more Korean game names. Particularly:- 3v3 Hunters come (With no indication of skill) 3v3 Hunters noobs.(Doubt there are any noob Koreans but it might help to fill games faster) 4v4 Hunters pros 4v4 Hunters come 4v4 Hunters noobs. 4v4 Hunters (I'll use this one as a prefix for race matchups like TvP which seem to be quite popular on the Asian server. Eg. 4v4 Hunters TvP. The "TvP" part can be in English.

I like playing 3v3 games and FFA, i prefer Blizzard maps but Hunters Kespa is fun too!. Do you hang in a particular channel? I hang on x. I experience the same things you mentioned, i get banned, i get disconnects, i join late and slots close on me, etc. I play on Iccup too when theres Hunters available. Maybe we can find some english speakers on that server and play together. The good thing is games are available at all times! Sadly for me, its only Hunters and some fastest, im amazed why people dont ever try playing a different map once in a while.

Sadly for me, its only Hunters and some fastest, im amazed why people dont ever try playing a different map once in a while. Well I usually play with mcaLauncher which puts me in a wDetector channel. I usually just stay there since I'm all alone over there. I only made one friend there who happens to be bilingual. He is usually on during the weekends, aside from that, I'm all alone. As for different maps, you have to understand that Blizzard maps are severely imbalanced which affects the quality of games. Even the original Hunters was horribly imbalanced. That's why they only play altered Hunters maps. Although Hunters is one map, the variations of strategies and situations are practically endless which is why nobody gets tired of it. Its really fun and never gets old. So what handle so you go by over there ? Maybe we can hook up and play some games together. It'll be nice to have someone to talk to who can speak English.

I think the most practical thing to do is to chose a channel to hang all the time and that way we can bring more people to it. Yea we used to do that back when West was alive. Met a lot of great people over the years so. On September 17 2014 10:55 SeAy wrote: I agree with Hunters not getting people tired but i like other maps which arent that imbalanced or are equally imbalanced as Hunters kespa. Aftershock i think its a great 3v3 map, i play also Azure Plains, theres is the 5 mineral patch map River of Light, Lost temple for 3, Legacy (with 5 o 6 patches at start), etc. Well people might be more open to the idea of 2v2 on popular pro maps like Andromeda, Fighting Spirit, Python, Vampire, Faio, God's Garden etc. These maps are far more balanced than Blizzard's maps and they have been tested at the pro level. You will get some willing participants on the the standard BNet servers and of course these maps are standard for 2v2 at ICCUP so you get no shortage of players. I'm at least D+/C- level, not exactly noob but not exactly pro either. Made C- doings 2s once on ICCUP, best rank I ever got doing team games. Why would any one want to watch me when they can watch A+ level players like Trutacz.

For matchups you can use 테란 대 토스 = TvP

My first thought was actually to ask for something like this but I don't know anything about the language rules of Korean. For example in Spanish, an adjective comes after the noun as opposed to coming before as in English. Can I put those together the same way I would in English ? So if I wanted to say "4v4 Terran vs Zerg pros only" would it be:- 4:4 테란 대 저그 고수 만 Would that be understandable to a Korean ?

Yeah, that'd be fine - you can just copy English formatting for game names. Koreans would say 4:4 instead of 4v4 if you want to nitpick. 만 means only, but is pronounced like man.
