Mong's gonna make an excuse out of this to go grab food I bet. He did mention earlier on his stream while Effort was playing that even after eating continuously, he feels so hungry and then slapped his stomach to tell it to stop (he said this earlier in stream after finishing a cup ramen). Oh wait no, he's playing again. Zerg Mong under Effort Overmind Round 2.

At around 3 AM in Korea time, door bell rang where fried chicken delivery arrived Mong + Effort are constantly communicating with their afreeca viewers There was mention earlier how if Mong loses, Effort told to him to uninstall SC One viewer said if he loses, no chicken and Mong is like NO, CAN'T DO THAT Chicken is getting cold Geee geee Mong loses zerg again, Effort take over. Plays the same terran guy who rekted Mong twice already. Effort says he needs to eat chicken but he gotta play now, he's going to eat chicken after this game while Mong proceed to his chicken yummy-ness.

Effort: "oh I'm saving you? should I lose on purpose maybe?" Mong: "how about if you lose, I give up my chicken?" Effort: "oh really? call!" (not serious) A very noticeable difference between Effort's ZvT and Mong's ZvT.

Effort: I lost~ (slang) Effort (to viewers): hey guys, I lost...... (Afreeca chat viewers go wild) Effort: Mong's too shameful to appear. Mong says he's sorry. Effort: I'm going to watch replay and then eat chicken. -moments later- Mong: I am sorry, please let me appear once more.

Mong: wow, you don't know how to use shift key? really? Mong + Effort proceed to do a quick "how-to-use shift key in Starcraft tactically and strategically" 101. Pretty good lesson I say, giving steps, scenarios and SCVs as references.

Effort and Mong SC stream is now officially a food eating stream. Mong tries to open his beer bottle top with his phone case and broke the phone case in progress..... Effort hands over a spoon to Mong and opens with ease. Chicken, Pepsi and Beer! Cheers! Mong has a plastic hand glove to eat his chicken while Effort uses bare hands. Communicating with their afreeca viewers while eating. Discusses strategic Starcraft plays and Starcraft life while eating/drinking. Even on a food eating stream for progamers, Starcraft is involved folks! Mong's giving life lesson (to answer afreeca viewers) while eating chicken: "wherever you go, don't just go ask other people, hey how much you earn, what's your salary" This AMA (ask me anything) during food eating time just got philosophical. Meanwhile on twitch chat, everyone is hungry for chicken. But I'm not, I hate chicken.

As a third party perspective, Effort holds one major advantage compared to all other returning SC BW progamers in the scene, he's still young, got years left before mandatory military service hits him and has physical/mental condition to rise quickly. A lot of progamers (ie. Bisu, Jangbi, Guemchi) are 27 years in Korean age (born in 1989) who has maybe 1 year or so at most left until military duty calls whereas Effort is currently 25 in Korean age (1991). Older players tend to slowly lose their physical conditions like hands aren't moving fast enough, worries of future, marriage and so on but Effort does not need to worry such things for sometime which will gives a higher advantage in returning SC BW scene. Go Effort go!

Hey, do you guys know if there any restreams of afreeca. The afreeca stream is too slow here in Germany. It takes minutes to load and then I can watch it for some time when it starts loading again

Ask a MOD to change channel if you don't have powers and want to watch something in particular. Unfortunately the Snipealot streams aren't always reliable either. For me the Afreeca ones work better but that's not true everywhere. But if they work for you that's great. If there's no one around to change channel you can try PMing me. But that relies on me noticing the PM to which isn't reliable either.

Better than Zero/Hero's I think but I guess that means nothing till we actually see him playing in leagues.

It takes minutes to load and then I can watch it for some time when it starts loading again Yes and no from my perspective. He is definitely losing a good number of games. That said, I think in some ways it looks worse than it is because of how he is playing stylistically. Unlike how some other guys play EffOrt is playing extremely macro oriented and also quite greedy. Damn near every ZvP and ZvT I have seen features fast hive (seen many games with hive before 8:30 mark ZvP, so like 60 pop) and extremely defensive play. Same goes for ZvT, I can't tell you how many games I watch him going hive with like 2 lurkers and 6 lings at his main and 2 lurks at his third. This makes the defense really stressful, and because he is trying to macro up before he does anything it rather looks like he is dying all game even though he is just buying time for his economy and hive to fully kick in. With that in mind, you can tell he isn't back to full form because even though it is a difficult defense playing that greedy, EffOrt is struggling with it. Typical EffOrt ZvP/ZvT is him staying around 60-90 pop ZvT and 100-130 pop ZvP as he desperately hangs on with each attack or constant ZvT pressure, and he more or less doesn't get anywhere as his opponents economy and composition gradually improve and he eventually cracks. He is still defending pretty damn well though, and in many ways looks really, really good. I don't think too many other zergs out there could hold off players like hiyA for over 15 minutes on 3 bases with just a few lurks and some lings. I could absolutely see EffOrt going from looking like he is really struggling to being an absolute monster in a very short time span if whatever is a little off "clicks" for him.

Especially seeing that relationships among progamers are often friendly toward their own former ex-teammates (ie. Iris/Effort/Movie/Mong or Jangbi/Sharp) and also have close enough relationship to trust one another and come over each other places, have food streaming sessions, sleepovers, phone conversation with both gamers on stream (Rock/Sea), etc.
