How can you not root for Sharp after seeing his swag mode.
Online King advancing to Ro8 in an offline tournament? I will believe that when I see it.

Thanks for the good read, team!
Snazzy hover effect with the table of contents
Very much agree with groups A and B, but C and D could be quite unpredictable. None of the three Zerg are particularly solid at ZvZ, so I'm fearing for EffOrt's fate... EffOrt's lost to July several times during spon/ladder matches over the past few weeks, so it's almost anyone's game
As for group D, while sSak's been slumping in recent months, his TvT remains incredibly robust, and his TvP is one of the strongest in the scene, so I can see him taking 2 wins over Sea and GuemChi. Looking forward to how this group resolves itself, as well as Arcadia! Resources and interesting map features galore, so hoping for some memorable matches

Mind looks like he's holding a lightsaber

I hope July makes an upset in his group and I believe he can since he has 2 zvz to go lol Group D is hard to predict given how Sea struggles in offline tournaments and Guemchi in good form.

July still grows

Predictions for tonight's games: Bisu > Jaehoon - Becaause duh. Bisu PvP > Jaehoon PvP Bale < Sharp - Sharp can use some ungodly good timing he knows from tons of practice with him and abuse poor Bale (ofc Bale pls) EffOrt > July - As coin-flippy as ZvZ is, EffOrt should be in better shape for it than July (especially with how he ended a lot of his other tournament runs) Free > Sea - Sea advancing to Ro8? What world are you living in? Sea will get 0-3'd lol

I have to agree that group C will be the one to watch. Bw being an individual sport, the lack or possession of bge is going to be huge. In that regard whoever comes out of group C I'd predict making it to the bo4 at least.

Looking forward to how this group resolves itself, as well as Arcadia! Resources and interesting map features galore, so hoping for some memorable matches I still think Sea is going to beat sSak. I don't think sSak, in his current form, can beat the best Terran right now. Maybe if you asked me this a year ago, I'd say it's closer to 50-50. But in sSak's current state, its more like 20-80, or even worse.
ZvZ is always unpredictable. But I did the best I can with the current stats and performance. EffOrt's ZvZ looks decent. I think going 3-0 vs ZerO will say something. Yes, Round Robin + Bo1 will definitely make for an interesting group, and perhaps I should have focused on that more, but I think that EffOrt and ZerO's ZvZ will hold up well enough. I still give Rush a fighting chance to make it out of the group, like 50% EffOrt, 40% ZerO, and 10% Rush (0.001% July). We'll have to see though.
Also, I think a more adept name for this title should have been: Mirror Mirror on the Wall for the Round of 16 preview, considering how many damn Mirrors we're going to be seeing.

Hey I'll be visiting Korea for the month of december and plan on going to some of the games. I'll make sure to take pictures and report back for you all!
Seeing players like Sea, Bisu, Magikarp in person... really a dream come true for me.

Agree about group C and a bit of chance for Rush -- it's unfortunate he has the two best ZvTers in his group!
Still feeling pretty good about sSak's chances. No idea why he's been slumping, even in TvT's, in tournaments, as he has no trouble on his stream. He plays Sea every week or so and I can't recall the last time sSak lost to him. Just hoping their match-up next week won't be a silly cheese rush
