Hello,
I am getting slightly desperate as any google search or site search has not brought up what I was looking for. I am also deeply sorry if this is not the place to ask, but it is the closest to any place I could ask.
Many years ago (~Fall 2011), I found an *incredibly* large guide on StarCraft: Brood War. I found it on this site. It was at least 200 pages (could have been well over 400, I can't recall) of hard game analysis, pro-play analysis, strategy analysis & explanation, and much more. It was extremely (truly extremely) rich with information on the game. It talked a lot about the inside thought-process of pro-players like Flash, Jaedong, Bisu, etc. I belive there was not a single image (maybe graphs of sort though), it was purely walls of text.
The whole thing was simply handed on this site.
Sadly, I lost the file over the years, and I really, really wish to have it again.
Any help is massively appreciated.

Was it at teamliquid.net? Maybe liquipedia.net?

It was definitely on teamliquid.net that I found it. The guide itself was not a website or an interactive media of any sort, it was book with just walls of text about the game. It was a single file that I downloaded.

the only large guide i know about is art of protoss, but i have a feeling thats not what youre looking for. It also appears to have been taken down now

it was 2011 and this description doesn't fit liquipedia then haha I think not.

is it not at teamliquid.net then? This is the wrong place to ask, because we don't visit any other websites.
jk Now I want it too!

might be ringing some bells...
Didn't someone compile basically everything relevant on SC1 liquipedia into a "bible" or something? Or maybe it's something else. Sounds like an amazing resource though, not just for learning but for history.

Unfortunately, "Shadow Rush" by Nicholas T. Shadow has been taken down. It used to be here:

This book went into great detail about sick timings and unstoppable pushes. The author was a mensa graduate.

Sounds like Ph.D. I want it too!

Surely there must have been a mirror or something? Anyone have this? It would be a tragedy if there's no way to get this back / the author can't be reached.
I feel like this would have been a bigger deal if it was such a big/good resource? Why can I find so little about this?

I can only remember a "how to improve" pdf.

Unfortunately this is only a fraction of the genius that was within the book ): Maybe Hot_Bid, the editor, has a digital copy saved somewhere?

did the guide mention using modified obs maps?

I remember someone, I think Ver, also released a fairly lengthy BW guide. I'm not sure if it was hundreds of pages, but it was definitely 50+.

Oh wait, I didn't realize it... so Shadow Rush was written by Lastshadow right? I thought it was interesting how the guy's last name was "Shadow" haha.
He does seem to be a genius, I remember when he used to stream SC2 and he would explain everything so smartly, and in such a simple and easy, CONCRETE way to understand. The way he showed you how to play protoss (he did this for a couple months or so), especially PvZ and PvT, was so simple and easy to understand. He didn't tell you to follow any specific build order or what, but came up with a really streamlined, flexible, solid, strong, catch-all strategy that worked pretty much all the time and against anything, but also allowed for a lot of skill to get the most out of it (it worked until at least GM).
It was so beautiful, I'm sad the VODs are gone now, but maybe someone has saved the twitch VODs and can share them? But it was awesome how he came up with those general strategies and ways to play. Reminded me of how free and deep a game like starcraft is, and that sometimes we can be too caught up about executing builds when there are a lot of general concepts you can learn and use to just be reactive and win.
His micro of course was also beautiful; he'd push micro to the absolute fullest. There are many korean pros that I remember never quite did all the little things he would do. Of course part of this is in part due to LS's incredible apm and multitasking, but it was great to see a player like LS really take advantage of every little thing possible.
Hopefully someone can find a copy of Shadow Rush...
