Its preset to that for some reason... everything totally responsive for me in fullscreen mode, no lag either. But im in ontario so.
Is there anyway to select fullscreen and have the black bars on the side? Everytime I select fullscreen it goes streched 16.

I am not 100% sure but from rushs stream it seemed like it lagged even when he tested single player, but maybe that has also to do with his constant sc crashing. Looking on the bright side, iccup being in no way involved might turn out to be a good thing for the near future. Everything vital works there at least.
Did the evolve games showed the increase of the sprite limit?

Replays: * You can now click to any time of a replay. It can jump to a future time or jump back to a previous time. So no rewind button, but click to rewind. * EPM is at the top left, looks crappy for now, but I'm I'm sure it will improve

I really hope they come up with a way to categorize the hotkey page in order to clean it up and organize it by race. Right now it is divided by race based on upgrades units and buildings but its just a giant scroll list, surely they could at least make them expandable groups. Otherwise seems good to me!

Agreed, and hopefully they will implement a warning if you have the same hotkey as another same page unit.

They changed something inside gameplay. WTF? I could spam pushing down my key while clicking with left button now I can't. You know that spam when you click to minerals manually and never release your finger from your f.e. CC/hatchery?

Bit excessive to be boycotting a patch over minor UI issues that appeared during PTR. Have some sense of proportion people. how long did blizzard take to integrate chat channels in bnet 0.2 for sc2? why do we have to tell blizzard to differentiate between melee and non-melee games, when it was differentiated for like 19 years? its a no brainer, but somebody at blizzard thought it was a good idea to change that. in case you have never played L1, L1 with a lower latency compared to L2 means that the connection between both players needs to be "way better" compared to L2 in order for the game to not lag, which is why even on fish between koreans only, L1 was very rarely played. whats wrong with boycotting a patch when we have to wait for a generous 3rd party launcher maker to fix all the problems blizzard conjured out of thin air. yesterday i didnt even knew what PTR was, but its just an excuse to say "we are beta, please give us time and ignore all problems"
I share most of your concerns, however I'm not angry...yet.
This is first build from what sounds like a small, somewhat isolated group of devs. Thinking of them as corporate "Blizzard" is probably not quite right.
Either way, this small group seems to have been focused primarily on making BW gameplay itself and gfx correct without messing anything up. They may not have focused as much on UI, and/or spent as much time soliciting feedback about that when getting the game right is also a huge priority.
It's quite possible they released 1.18 this early to everyone for just that exact reason: to get feedback on what is good and bad about the new UI changed and compatibility.
I'd really urge you to be concerned, but withhold judgement on what this dev team is doing until we see how they respond to our comments. Not only because there interview truly did make it sound like they intended to listen closely to what the community had to say, but also because it's a known phenomenon that if you tell someone they are wrong, they will tend to become even more entrenched in their belief. I think open minded, constructive criticism is the best at this stage.
If the responses they begin to give are negative or fail to listen to anything respected BW players and TL BW community is saying, or there is a lack of responses...that is the time for being angry and preparing for the worst.

I also think that casual players simply won't care what we care about. Hence people who start playing BW free will be like "OMG AMAZING FREE GAME WOT"
For now, I will stick to Iccup. That may be even beneficial for the scene because newcomers won't have to play against veterans and go 2-150 or something

I'm so bloody tilted. Every time I open the statcraft.exe file it just fucking crashes. Tried on my windows xp machine and my windows 7.

Absolutely. Casual players won't know or care.
However, I like the ideal and concept behind BW: R, and I'd rather not have a split community. So, for that reason I'm hoping the "we are going to listen to the community" response they gave in the interview is more than just lip service.
We've seen nothing to indicate this the sentiment isn't genuine, and so there is no frustration at this point.

EDIT: Graphics look horrible somehow on my PC. Also my mouse speed fucked up.
Go to options and try to change from full screen windowed (don't know why this is an option) to just full screen. Fixed it for me

Is it just me or the lag is mostly unbearable? I know I'm from Brazil, but I play normally on ICCup. What's even more weird is that most games are 5 green bars to me (3v3 BGH), but every single game I played lagged terribly (that long pause in 0 seconds countdown). Is it me? It also happens in two 1v1 games I played, although the lag was smaller.

There wasnt even a latency delay, it was far smoother than iccup normally is for me.

Haven't tried the PTR, don't really plan on doing so. Some of the changes could be implemented better and I'll miss the older interface but I wasn't really attached to it either. All I care about is the game running well with the new graphics. The addition of APM and obs features including following a single player looks pretty cool, can't wait to try it out.
