I have already posted it in the "who's who top 100 fish server" thread, but I figured it would gain bigger exposure this way.
I've created a small (static) website that mirrors the fish ladder ranking and populates the ladder with known aliases of the progamers.
If this is something the community enjoys, I'd be willing to invest some more time into it to enhance it.
Possible ideas of improvement would be:
* Ranking over time; maybe with graphs etc. * Different statistics; maybe a "total points of all known aliases".
For this any ideas are welcome.
In order not to split the information in this community, it crawls this liquipedia site to find the aliases of the progamers (don't worry, only once a day). So if you find an alias of a progamer that the list is not aware of, I encourage to add it to the above mentioned liquipedia site. It will automatically update the website the next time I build it.
Unfortunately the whole process is not automatic yet, as I can't access the fish server website through curl because of the captcha. Also I'm not really sure what the copyright situation of the data on the fish server is. Does anyone have an insight to this, or can tell me how I can contact the maintainers of the fishserver to ask?
Finally, if possible I'd like to use the small protoss / zerg/ terran images that teamliquid/liquipedia uses to indecate the race, rather than the name; but the license is not stated on liquipedia.

Hello! Good initiative
I thought about making something like this, but never got to doing it.
Some ideas: 1. Would be great if you could add a foreigner ranking too, with only non-Korean players. Perhaps a button "Show foreigner players only" that would act like a filter and show only verified foreigner accounts. But we'd need a list of foreigner accounts for that.
2. You could add a column to display the rank letter (F-/F/E/D/C/B/A/S), but you'd have to know the point ranges for ranks, and also the math behind A/S ranks, because those are given to a % of B rank users. I think the system was changed this season (again).

It is not my IP, as I have tried several different ones. So I guess it could be that they allow only Korean IP's, something I haven't checked. Anyone from Korea can fill me in on this? Maybe I can find a VPN with an outlet in SK.

Awesome ideas!
1. Is there a "foreigner account id" collection somewhere I could use for that? Is this something that should be archived on Liquipedia?
2. Does anyone know if this is up to date?

1. I asked a TL wiki admin if it's OK to add a foreigner account section to that page. And I'm making the list right now. I don't think anyone will mind it being on wiki. But I have never added anything there (shame on me), so I wanted to be sure
2. Name list is up to date, but the point system is not.

Alright I added ranking information by color coding the table. I'm not totally happy with it but it's a start. Also I don't have A/S ranks yet. Anyone know what the current point system on Fish server is?
The Smurf list above also includes iccup names, but I guess the chances of a wrong match are pretty low, so I'll try this list and see what happens when I find time. Thanks!

Sure, you can find the code on the same github repo. I'm using haskell. However, I have to disappoint you, I don't bypass the captcha, so far I have to manually copy the ladder from the page. Do you know if the captcha is required with an Korean IP?

I added a list of active high level foreigner usernames to the Fish Server wiki page
The smurf list that was linked above by aedeph, is outdated. Fish server deletes accounts after 3 months of inactivity. And it has not been updated for 1.5 years. And I also added an up-to-date description of point system on Fish. You can display player ranks next to them, if you want to.

This is really nice, especially if the aka's are outdated. Alot of time I'm watching on Korhal/YT and when I go and see EffOrt is playing ataek it's nice to be able to quickly see who that is.

Thank you very much! I should be able to implement this this weekend. I'll update once it is implemented.

Thanks for filling in some of the blind spots. I put most of the info on the above mentioned TL page, but the changes are pending to be reviewed. It will update on the website as soon as TL ok's the changes.
For some of the above however, there are no TL pages I could find. Maybe I should start using a seperate database after all...

You are welcome! Do you have anything that you'd like me to add?

What would the benefit be of a separate database? The TL Wiki is not supposed to have a page for every Korean amateur player. If someone doesn't have a page, I guess they are not good enough. I suggest to not over-complicate things, use the existing name list

Ok, the foreigner section is up!
Unfortunately, the parsing has become somewhat hacky in the mean time, but I added some sanity checks, so hopefully I'll catch a breaking change on the Liquipdia.
Thanks again for your support!
The rank coloring of the columns is a little whacky, I'll have to rework how the colors are displayed.
