I haven't tried Ranked yet (want to get used to the maps first) but I wonder what the default search range is for MMR. It's possible that skill just hasn't spread out very far yet if people are getting matched with D-s and pros one after another. It's only been a couple of days after all. | ||

Going off memory, TR 12 is something like 125 ms between checks, L2 is something like 173 ms, and TR 8 is like 225 ms. | ||

Congratulations, you just won first prize in the category most clueless post Turnrate 8 is better than what bnet 1 used to be and it is absolutely not an added delay or anything even remotely relatated to that. If you are lagging it also might be your graphics malfunctioning, so look into that. Because if you are in the populated parts of Sweden you shouldn't have any lag problems really... | ||

I don't know if I'm worse at muta micro than I remember, but I figure that's the more likely culprit than the lower turn rate. They just don't pew pew achoo like they used to. I can't get nothin done with em. Also, it really bums me out that I don't get or lose ladder points. It's been two days now, and I'm only getting points for some games. Of course, this counts for my losses too, but I really like the competitive part of it that this brings. I want to get my ladder points so I can swing my massive e-peen around like a helicopter. On the bright side though, I'm starting to feel the rust come off. God I missed this game! Love you guys | ||

We want to shed some light on the situation and talk about next steps: Known Issues The system designed to verify game results is disposing of matches it should not Leaderboards do not match Season stats (caused by above) Navigating away from the Chat Channel disconnects queued players from matchmaking Matches are sometimes made against ghost players (because they navigated away from Chat) Sometimes Leaderboards slightly exaggerate a player's points (who isn't happy about having their rating pumped up by order of magnitude of a thousand?) Things In Motion We're honing in on the cause of match results not being applied - this will be a server fix that we will announce, but won't require a client update A server deploy will also fix the exaggerated score issue We have a client fix in test for disconnects from matchmaking We will be resetting the Season when these issues are resolved Hot Topics Will there be 2v2 or larger matchmaking? Yes. Timeline is dependent on getting current implementation of 1s stable and confidence in the rating system Turn rate? We are evaluating changing the turn rate, but do not have an official stance yet. Long term we would like to create a system that can adjust turn rate based on latency between players.
