Be grateful and show some patience. I agree that it definitely could've been more smooth on release, but remember that it isn't a new seperate game, it's an update. Huge amout of information was implimented in a game that was already installed, and merged with the battle.net application. Give it a few days and everything will run smoothly, as intended. Be grateful? We paid for a product and have the expectation it should work. Complaints and raging are justified in this situation. I'd love to sell you something that doesn't work properly and then tell you to be grateful. But its just ignorant to expect that software will be released bug free. Software is different from physical products and should not be judged as such.

It is like Blizzard is the only company in the world that releases software that doesnt work on day 1.

its the "software as a service model" in action. clearly , u guys are not listening in on the ATVI investor calls.

So it's okay to take little amounts of money and deliver a shitty product? That's very revealing of your character. That 15 dollars adds up to ALOT with all the purchases that will be made for this game. The point is blizzard promoted a game, said it will have said features, and those features are not working. THERE WAS A BETA TESTING PHASE SPECIFICALLY FOR IRONING OUT BUGS AND KINKS FFS. This is unacceptable. I can't even play with the hd graphics because it instantly crashes as soon as I click the check mark for HD in settings then hit ok. It instantly crashes the entire game. This is unacceptable. This was literally half of the selling point of the game. It's pathetic. This whole mentality of, "oh but it's blizzard, they always do this, therefore it's ok" attitude is unacceptable. The product should be perfectly polished day 1 of release or it shouldn't be released. This has got to be the most rushed release of a video game I have ever seen. When a company markets a product and promotes certain features, it gives the consumer an expectation. I have every god damn right to be pissed off and dissatisfied with their product. I expect those features to work because that's what i paid for. Half the commands don't work, ladder ques crash, leaderboards don't even show up more than half the time, ladder stats aren't calculating properly. I don't give a shit if it was only 15 dollars, Blizzard FAILED to deliver what they promised and it pisses me off.

I downloaded the game last night but have yet to play... I'm hoping that it runs smoothly when I play some games tonight so I can cheese some nerds to death.

Ah yes, my payment is irrelevant and i'm supposed to be satisfied with a half working game. My payment means i am ENTITLED to what was advertised. It's an agreement made between the company and the consumer. I'd love to rip you off and they tell you that you are wrong for feeling the way you do. Please let me sell you something.

I'm sure it's gonna get fixed but I understand why people would be frustrated. Blizzard was known to release products that are ready on day 1. They kept delaying the release of the original StarCraft - hence Operation CWAL....

There are TONS of people experiencing these issues, i'm not the only one.
These are features that should have been perfected pre-launch. They had a beta testing stage specifically for this purpose.
It's unacceptable.

I only complain when I don't get what I paid for. It's completely justified. What you say is very revealing about yourself and what you find to be acceptable as a consumer. I'm very sorry your standards are low. Could we do business together so I can rip you off and tell you that you are at fault and that you aren't allowed to feel the way you do? It would really increase my profit margins.

if u were a true fan of RTS you would not carry this sentiment. the slowly declining RTS community needs as many active players as it can get. i hope the guy shows up many, many times ... DESPITE ur negativity. furthermore, he makes a rational argument.
RTS game players are becoming like dinosaurs while Day9 and InControl joke about how bald they are getting during broadcasts.

ReachTheSky, please calm down a bit. I tend to agree with you, Blizzard royally screwed this release. So many people are reporting so many problems. Back when 1.18 came out, there were lots of issues and they got fixed but it took weeks before it started working well for most. 1.19 was a bit less eventful but had its own issues too.
My advice is for you to voice your disdain on their forums in a polite manner. Promising a product then delivering it full of bugs to the point where it's unplayable for some is something that many people should be frowning upon. It's been interesting to see the community view on Blizzard do a reversal these last couple of months lol.
Either way, remastering BW was a good move by Blizzard, both for trying to gain the community's trust and for the small profit it could net them but their approach is rather flaky. It makes me wonder how some of these promised features could be so bugged. I mean, you advertise this and push it hard then day 1, it's not working. Well, I'm sure they'll fix it in due time.

Naugrim is right, this is the best thing that could have happen to us and some of us are complaining haha No he isn't. It's a god damn business agreement ffs. Money is involved. I gave them my money and they didn't give me what they promised. Please let me rip you off and then i'll tell you how thankful you should be ROFL I mean, for a active community, a healthy outside of korea competitive scene, proper ladder and matchmaking, modern compatability and updated graphics that flow together perfectly with the old ones. After all, you'll make a lot of customers angry if you fail to deliver on a promise.

I feel like you still don't understand the basic message. This was supposed to be available when you purchase it. It clearly is not. There was a testing phase to make sure this stuff works. I bought a product with advertised features, said product's advertised features are either not working properly or not working at all. It's not about giving them the time they need. Giving them the time they need to perfect those features is literally the entire purpose of beta testing. It's about how this was a very piss poor PRE-MATURE release where blizzard is failing to deliver what they advertised. Whoever planned, executed, managed and released this entire project at blizzard needs a lesson in project management and business ethics.
From an observative perspective, it looks as if they only used the beta to promote the game through marketing with pros/ex-pros.

I've reported every bug directly to them and i'm taking this as a secondary measure to put pressure on them to fix their problems asap. They typically use these forums on a regular basis for feedback. Most of my posts were responses to other tl members.
I agree it was a GREAT move to remaster bw by blizzard. It's a highly profitable, low cost of goods project. It's just extremely unfortunate that they failed to deliver properly. They certainly aren't regaining my trust with this experience, that's for sure. I've told all my friends that they shouldn't purchase yet because there is no guarantee blizzard will fix everything. As it stands, scr has most of the same join game issues that bw had and that never got fixed. I just don't have faith they will fix it and I wouldn't want to sell my friends on a product that doesn't work properly.

Leaderboards & profiles wont show up for me. Which is annoying.
However, I can at least play good matches, fun matches with opponents. That's the most important part.
The bugs will get sorted out eventually. We all just have to wait.
