Hey guys,
I've been playing starcraft since I was a wee lad, specifically the demo when the zerg was called zenomorphs and the science vessel character had a deep voice.(https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NKUT_jIYpFs) Anyways I got into competitive BW in my teenage years but was never good. Now that I am in my 20's and with a lot more spare time. I was wondering what is the best way to contribute to the broodwar community in terms of time.
I know that some liquipedia pages can be updated but I don't feel like I have the expertise. Organizing tournaments would be awesome but I don't have the income to spare and wouldn't know where to start.
Anybody wanna point me in the right direction, I really want to give back to the game and the community that shaped a large portion of my life.
regards

It's great that you want to contribute!
In regards to Liquipedia:
You don't need much expertise to help out at LP. There are pages or sections on pages that are empty but so so easy to fill. Things which are bare not because they are complicated to implement or hard to find info on but just because there is so much to do and not enough time to do it.
An example:
XellOs is one of the most iconic terrans of all time. Yet he does not have a single game linked in the 'Notable Games' section of his page. Even someone like Pokju has a match linked just because he sucked at the game.
You know a great game of XellOs? You can copy the style from a different page and just link the game + add a short description. Now you contributed.
Different example: Many players are missing birthdays or dates when they changed teams. Often times this info is readily available in old tl threads but no one has time to look for it. You found something like this in an old thread? Add it and you are already contributing.
Or you know some dumb trivia, like Soulkey getting the police called on him for singing too loudly? Add it. You contributed.
Your contribution can be as small as fixing grammatical mistakes or poor wording.
It can be this easy to help out. No one expects you to fix templates or create new ones. Also there is always someone who answers questions in the discord if you need some help. The BW LP sadly still has a lot of holes. Every contribution is appreciated.

Probably something that helps the very new players.
Perhaps a video series with a Q&A, helping out via submitted replays, etc.

Some players don't have their liquipedia page, such as fuNny, LJT, Sero and Ty2.

Thanks guys, will check out some of the options out.

Make tutorials for each race would be the best way. There a lot of people interested in BW who don't know where to start and liquipedia is not really the most friendly place for a newbie. If you have some competence with youtube, just start making some tutorial and you could maybe become the new Day9!
