It also looks like they added a ' Prefer Port 6112 ' in the Network Option in the Settings, I didn't notice this before and I also don't see anything about it in the Notes...
Ninja move.
EDIT : Oh wow I messed up, I thought in that description it was talking about the Replay name was auto saved, got my hopes up for nothing... sorry guys!! MOD Please rename the Title of the thread so it's not misleading, there was no changes to Replays.

To make it easier to see the difference between friendly and enemy units in team games, I reckon? At least it's a lot easier for observers to distinguish between the teams.
However, not sure if it's easier when team mates are playing the same race. Guess it's overall easier to do the color switch at those times, rather than constantly doing it in general.

Thats teal vs red, which is shit.
Then switch shift+tab to red vs blue, dont get rid of every other color lol come on..

? Shift tab is what turns it into teal/red, without a preset of red vs blue there would be no way for me to shift tab to a red vs blue unless thats how it happened to be from rng.
Changed the thread title to reflect that it's just settings that are kept.
The TvB color changes are just to make things more uniform I guess. SC2 does it too (but people have been complaining about that literally since the SC2 beta).
I love how they introduced ASL 5 maps. that's a great way to support the league. really smart and I love these patches for a 20 year old game. still can't believe we get these.
I still remember what hero did to best on Transistor. that map is gonna be fun as hell
Appearantly Red/Green is the most dominant form of color blindness. So even if it was fine for you, there's probably a lot of people who have problems with it.
On colors: in SC:R protoss has a lot of default green in all its units that was not there in the original. Watch some green protoss vs a white protoss and laugh.
yea I'm happy they add asl maps, but sad they chose the two I like by far the least. Third world and sparkle are amazing maps that I would have looooved to get to ladder on.
my profile stats still display everything at 0 even tho i have over 200 ladder games, if i want to ser my mmmr i have to search for myself in the ladder tab.

Makes it easier for spectators and doesn't give you situations where it's orange vs brown protoss and they both look the same.
how tired im of this bs,i better dont learn blizzard fcking removed all colors so you and schamtoo can cast ... i want my purple back!

I didn't realise ladder was Top vs Bottom.
The best thing would be to make it so Ladder is One on One and Top vs Bottom is optional for tournaments. The best option in general would be to have it so you can set colours by default client side. I'd love to always be orange.

As someone who created power rankings for reach race via colors, I'm really disappointed.
Purple Protoss = strongest Protoss color Red Zerg = strongest Zerg color Blue Terran = strongest Terran color
White/Yellow are very high up there for Z as well. And Green being very high for Protoss too. From my research, Zerg does better with warm colors, where Protoss does better with cool colors.

veto system, so if you can't play on it then it's your own fault.
Are there even any newbies who are actively playing ladder?
I mean, here's me.
I'm pretty terrible, and in most games, I'll get stomped, but I'll play someone of equal skill every few games. I'll even go through and stomp someone maybe 1/20 games.
The issue with being a newb, is that even a marginal improvement in mechanics results in a huge advantage, and results in a stomping.
It's just a lot of purposeful practice, and then grinding out experience to learn things like the maps.

I love that you actually researched this, because from watching many games I noticed a similar pattern. Whenever I see the best colour you mentioned for each race (and Yellow Zerg), I automatically favour them, and it usually turns out true. I'm happy it wasn't just some random bias.

So are the statistics skewed by the different colour palettes of different maps? Or can we now think about balancing maps via player colour adjustment? Seriously though, the best and easiest solution would be to allow players to select their colours, like in any other RTS game in existence. Extra points if "random" is one of the options… Same for sift-tab settings – make it a player-adjustable setting. Even better: Allow a different setting for each tileset.
Not a fan of putting Transistor in their. I don't mind watching it, but I hate playing on that map with anything but Zerg. Oh well that's what vetos are for. I'd much rather have seen them put in Sparkle tbh. Might not be as balanced, but you play a completely different game of Starcraft on their compared to any other map.
So ladder is red vs blue only now? That sucks. I was always a big fan of random colors in BW. You could change between green vs red and random colors anyway, so why force everyone into rvb?
But at least they are still working on the game. It would be nice to get another development update. I'm pretty sure that the 2v2 crowd already left, but I think it's about time that they expand MM beyond 2v2. I'd also love to see letter ranks back. I guess "Frontier" league will be around throughout the first year.
I was looking forward to it, because I've never been able to spot dropships on the minimap very well (colorblind which makes red not stand out very well), but I'm not getting red vs blue in-game currently.
Sure, profiles load faster but my match history is blank after playing a dozen or so games and the APM counter is still completely useless (showing 143,000 APM).Profiles were better before patch.

Yeah it's Red Blue - shift tab still toggles it to teal red as well

i ask myself why people care about that profile loading faster if the information that is showed is totally useless ? ^^

Yeah it's great. Only seems to be the case on some maps though. Had a few longinus games and there it wasn't Red vs Blue
