Say we chop a patch from the main, and make the nat even more poor mineral wise. Pad out some cliffs to make tanks cover less ground. Give the out-of-the-way thirds a gas, and make it somewhat easier to take and hold. Does this please the zerg? But wait, you're saying that chokes favor terran. Why not open things up even more? Of course, this makes it look a lot more like CB, and thus boring.

I want to play it badly. If anyone has it can they contact admin or please upload it to TLPD. Thank you to the community. http://www.teamliquid.net/tlpd/korean/maps/206_Carthage_3 Damn, I thought I ought to have it, but turns out I either don't or I misplaced it somehow. Probably I don't, I cannot even find Carthage 2 in my map folder O_o , so for now I can only second this request. EDIT: Seems as though differences between v. 2 & 3 are minimal, though, Liquipedia only states that two geysers were added, so if no one has it, it would be very easy to recreate from v. 2.

Yeah you get what i'm saying right? Someone must have it. I looked at panchack.de and broodwarmaps.net and google searched for it to no success. It's really a great modern map. They say the only differences between Carthage II and Carthage III are the 3 and 9 oclock were changed from a mineral only in II to a gas third in III, but knowing the mapmakers they probably edited cliffs and mineral patches for better efficiency mining and better defend-able choke points in the natural expo and main bases. By comparison i recently tried playing some games on Carthage I and its god awful in terms of pathing and balance with no ground for missile turrets in the TvZ i played, and messed up scouting from Xel'naga temples and various other doodads. I've got a feeling 3 is the best version out and it would be good to add that into TLPD as its quite a balanced map for all matchups assuming a professional has edited it to be so.

I doubt they went into any such lengths. Stuff like choke widths was balanced out for v2, and consistent, bug-free mining efficiency no one really cared about at that time. The map has several other bugs typical of Kespa maps, too, like blind spots on ramps. Anyway, MinscandBoo found it: http://blog.naver.com/PostView.nhn?blogId=daum1313&logNo=220160938742&parentCategoryNo=&categoryNo=85&viewDate=&isShowPopularPosts=false&from=postView I guess you hadn't searched for the Korean (Hangul) map name?
