I thought Flash had nearly unparalleled mechanic efficiency in broodwar but I have to say that after watching quite a bit of Hero VODs lately he is impressing me with how fast he is (and accurate).
He also impresses me with how deliberate he is unlike guys like JaeDong and Bisu who would frantically cram as many things as possible in a short period of time often overly micro-ing units.
It will be a shame once he leaves for the Army. He is one of the best BW players around and I don't even play Zerg.

Come to think of it, I've never seen Hero's FP. Time to catch up!

Bisu and Jaedong over-micro units? Bisu is known to have (or used to have during Kespa times) the smoothest hand-keyboard management... Both players really have impeccable multi-tasking which might make it seem like they cram too much into a short period of time. It's in fact one of the things that made them stay above the rest during their hay days though. Hero is indeed very fast but I don't think his multi-tasking is all too impressive. Compared to what we have seen over the past two decades I mean. He is still freaking impressive. But he kind of falls in between the players who have incredible multi-task at high speed (Jaedong, Bisu...) and those that are slower and strategic and waste very little apm (Zero, Soulkey, Savior...).

Bisu and Jaedong are timing attackers, Hero is a drone user.

Fantasy is the one that over micros. Flash rarely won games off of control but instead made impossible decisions look easy. His mechanics are probably only well above average and not impossibly dominant

yup hero and rain are players to watch out for these days and hero is still on widescreen mode right?

flash has one of the best mechanics. He had 350 apm 260 eapm. That's literally the best stats you can get. Mechanics is all about macro, micro, and screen switching. He excels at it.

I personally believe that what hero excelled in most was his ability to plan out a very clear strategy that, when executed properly which he normally did, would propel him into a commanding position in the mid-late game.
In 2015, his ZvT had improved from something like 35% to 50%. He had a change of how he approached the matchup during the time when Terrans were running over everyone and understood the matchup extremely well. He mechanics weren't standouts, but the ideas that he had screamed a small window of brilliance.

Flash has a brilliant combination of speed of thought and speed of execution. He makes the right decision faster, and has great mechanics to execute on it without skipping a beat. However, finesse is not his forte, which is why players with superlative micro-management finesse can sometimes abuse that to gain leads. It is not just a matter of prioritzation (although I do agree it plays a part), Flash doesn't clearly differentiate himself from other top players when the game devolves into a duel of pure micro-management capabilites.
As for herO, the dude has played more online sponsored matches than any other player in the scene for the last year or so. He is dedicated towards improvement, and is a model professional in an era where streaming has mostly been more about entertainment than sheer dedication towards the game. I honestly didn't think much of him as a professional Brood War player, but the dude has been killing it in the post-KeSPA scene. I don't think he has the best screen switching (not a metric that influences eAPM, yet is an integral part of the core fundamentals), and I think Soulkey in particular has superior screen switching abilities.
