Really happy Blizzard is supporting BW in Korea and beyond. Gives me hope for the future. I wish proleague didn't need to die when it did it's so tragic tbh.
But any way... This is awesome. I'll tune in for sure

looks fun, scr needs more events like this

This is sick! Awesome Blizzard!
EDIT : So there is or there is not a ladder stage? I'm a little confused by the process, Pro series will have a ladder qualifying stage?

EDIT : So there is or there is not a ladder stage? I'm a little confused by the process, Pro series will have a ladder qualifying stage? We will be selecting based on MMR, but don't demand the new accounts for that. We'll just take the ladder stats on date, apparently on the new system already.

This is fantastic thanks Blizzard and Starladder!

Any details on time/day? Or may be i m just blind and missed it Open Series will be Saturdays and Sundays starting at 18:00 CEST Same for Pro Series Qualifiers, with an addition of Friday Pro Series Main Stage will to be on Saturdays starting at 11:00 CEST and on Sundays starting at 18:00 CEST
|
so the pro series qualifier tournaments will be 1 full tournament each on friday, saturday and sunday? (just would like the confirmation^^) main stage will be 1st round on saturday 11 cest and 2nd round on sunday 18 cest? (swiss lasting 5 rounds = 2,5 weeks) i know i first have to qualify for main stage..... i just like to plan things ahead of time.

Can you just read the rules and the thread? This has been answered.

StarCraft: Remastered Pro Series — Qualifiers There are 3 Qualifiers, each is a Double Elimination bracket with a rating-based seeding. Winners of the winners’ and losers’ brackets advance to Pro Series. All matches of the Qualifiers are Best of 3, except for the winners’ and losers’ brackets finals, which are Best of 5. So 16 players will take part in the Main Stage of Pro Series in total: 8 players of the highest MMR 6 winners of the Qualifiers 2 winners of Open Series

Saturday and Sunday is 1 round, 4 matches per day. 4 Best-of-5's seems enough for one broadcasting day.

LMAO shots fired.
But seriously, fuck invite tournaments. Usually boring games and obviously no chance for upsets with up-and-comers.

This is dope. I'm glad Blizzard has made this initiative. I have some questions though, @kaby - how involved is Blizzard in the decision-making surrounding the tournament? Are you a representative of StarLadder and if so, are they centered in Russia?

Blizzard oversees the tournament and takes part in making every important decision. The Blizzard representee whos name is Hun Pascal Park joined both Discord channels, so everyone if free to contact him yet he has anything important to ask or suggest.
I represent StarLadder and they are not centered in Russia. Their office is in Ukraine.
