lol wtf?? somehow I think this is gonna be the same story as with garimto... Best of luck anyways, I sure hope for some epic wins from oov, although I think he is making a mistake.
I was unsure that anything like this would ever happen, but I seriously wanted it to for so long. Just one progamer to set the precedent of a "comeback." I'm so glad it started with Oov, so that it becomes fashionable and cool.

at 20minutes per game, thats only 8hrs a day. Just like any other job.
Well first of all, he's also being a coach. And also, ZOMFG!!!! OOOOOOOOOOOOOOVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVV
I somehow don't believe his claim that his playing skills is at the bottom of the team. You can be a little rusty but skills are skills, and I don't believe they ever truly go away.
This is amazing. Excellent reason for me to get finished on my iloveoov article.
With Boxer/oov back on T1, there are going to be some more genius terrans than just Flash (and hopefully oov-inspired Fantasy). Who to root for now hmm...
The only question for oov is his motivation, especially with married life. If that is solved then we shall no doubt see a triumphant return of the genius gorilla.
Wow with oov playing coach and Boxer soon coming back, SKT has a think-tank of terran strategy, Fantasy is just a semi-finished product until all of you come dig into the mechbuild I believe

Wow!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Oov is one of my favorites and it would be so awesome if he could execute a comeback. Sounds like his wrist is pretty bad though
Man, SKT will be so freaking beastly in a couple months. oov returning, boxer coming back, already have best, fantasy, bisu... how are they doing so badly in proleague?
Is anyone missing the 2v2 now? How ridiculous would it be to see twin bunker rush by oov and boxer, or some ridiculous T+T strategies... just for fun, even

I am a little bit pessimistic about it though...Garimto didn't do so well and also Oov's wrist still hurts so he won't be able to practice as much as the other progamers which isn't good news since the competition is at such a high level right now
I'm also concerned as to whether he still has his "gaming sense" Still...this is damn exciting
I wish him the best of luck (just hoping he can somehow get the golden mouse....hoPinG)
edit: I really wonder what made him want to come back....was it because a) He genuinely "rediscovered" his passion for Starcraft(there was talk about his lack of passion before he retired), b) He was afraid that Boxer was ashamed of him (read about this in some interview...can't remember where) or c) Seeing Nada and July with the Golden Mouse refueled his desire to win again
WOOT OOV IS BACK !!! I was thinking how wonderful it would be if we could see OOV own newbs with full screen of tanks a few days ago lol.. C'mon oov show them what real MACRO is!!

Hopefully he won't come back and just suck it up.... I wonder how rusty he is.
I bet not that much. He probably decided to come back because he thinks he can win. And also, he probably just got a new keyboard. My theory is that he had to retire because he wore out the key for tank and bc on his last keyboard.
I think he is confident himself. That's why he is coming back.He is not GARIMTO which had won OSL in 2001 year.He is Monster which left progaming scene with 62% stats!

i wouldnt want oov as my husband! First he steals the bananas, then he doesnt want kids?
I'm not that excited. He isn't and won't be the macro beast he once was. There's really no way you can compare him now with the S-class players such as Flash, ForGG, Jaedong, Stork, Best, etc.
I don't think he can do much better at proleague than what he's been going last couple of years before becoming coach.
I'm happy about this like anyone else, but I am also concerned about his comeback being a complete failure. I mean, what he exceeded at was macro, something that is almost a given to any player of today. In a way it's like Shark inventing the ovie stacking but surpassed by July, Lux or JD in his own game.
OMG this i sick news. I remember when I heard oov retired. I knew this was BIG news, the guy who revolutionized BW into the macro style it is today. Probably the most revolutioning bonjwa ever.
Seriously this is awesome, lets hope he can still play at the highest level, and atleast qualify for some starleagues.
Except he hasnt been out of the loop that long. Garmito went to the army then came back, correct? Theres a huge difference. That being said, someone mentioned insane apm? Wasnt his apm around 245ish like Iris? And lastly as long as he doesnt lose to pepe Ill say its not a total failure.
omg lol, yesterday i dreamed about iloveoov playing again in pl, then i watched his TLDP and saw that he lost his last official game against Orion and thought " what a pity, his last game and he loses it" . . . Now i come home and see this LOL Welcome back Cheater Terran <3
hope his wrist wont fuck him up too much.. hope its just an excuse and the pain is away... if not he should not make a comeback practising 2 hrs a day wont be good... if he can practise hard it would be supercool tho if he makes a comeback and he can most definately still be a top tier player >_<;

Garimto actually went into the Army, came back and commentated for a year or two iirc. I dont think he had played a competitive match in 3-4 years when he came back, but I didnt check Im just recalling from my main base.

Garimto was gone for a much longer time than iloveoov has.
Garimto was good in the sense he brought out unique strategies and his mechanics we're on par with the rest of the people in the past.
Garimto, when he played during the most recent times, he has largely played the same as he did back in the day, and his outdated style has really shown. Even in his prime, I doubt he would match to the top players today or even the average. He would have had to gone through a massive evolution such as boxer and playing consistently to evolve and keep up.
Iloveoov on the other hand, entered during a time of fiercer competition and left a world largely still capable for him. (He was still in individual leagues when he was called out to be a coach iirc.) Sure its a little higher now but he would certainly rape some 3rd tier shit ez.

Did you miss the part about Oov being the worst on the team right now. He might be able to start raping 3rd tier shit after he gets back in the swing of things but not immediately, especially with his wrist problems.

eh didn't say anything about a time period, once he gets into action and back into practice, he will certainly be able to take them down, and considering he's been put on the roster already, they must have some faith in his capability.
