Jesus, the top 7 hasn't changed since last month. Really goes to show how useless the KeSPA ranking system is. The only movement is at the bottom except right after the OSL/MSL finish.
I'm surprised Pusan isn't in the top 30. he's been playing pretty damn well in ProLeague.
My theory is that this is simply a factor of how few games have been played over the past month - without Starleagues on, it's really hard to differentiate the top players, who stomp sub S-class in PL but rarely meet each other.
Anyone else amazed at how backho lost three places? He might have gotten owned out of the msl survivor but he advanced in the OSL and beat stork in GOM, what the hell. His proleague record can't be THAT bad.
I had no idea ggplay, light or hwasin would be above him.
on one hand you remove reactionary sentiment, but on the other it seems like progaming is a little bit more volatile than their formula credits. Also, because months are uneven given proleague and individual league schedules, monthly updates kind of awkward.

It could be from making it to the finals in the last OSL. Other than Flash, Fantasy is the only terran that has accomplish anything lately in the starleagues, I think.
Good thing for savior best is the dragon with worst pvz , well not really shitty but not outstanding. Savior took out jangbi at blizzcon, I expect him to do the same to best, also considering how well he performed against free.
Leta, Mind, Really and EffOrt sure have gained a lot of a ground due to their recent proleague performances... And sAviOr has fallen off the wagon completely. =(
Come on T's and Z's, move on up this OSL/MSL season!
Who's the next great to fall out of the top 30? NaDa or Much? =( Not Much plz.

He's actually a SaviOr fan if I remember correctly some of his older posts, but he's been posting this kind of Savior-hating one-liners like hell recently. Obviously it's to piss people off or get some attention, I don't know, whatever the reason is it's a bit retarded anyway.
omg i didnt want to see the day savior was out of the top 30. omg. im going to go kill myself in an extremely ritualistic fashion now. oh my god.
[edit] also, how can this happen when garbage like backho and rock are still on there T___T. backho has been so ridiculously bad the last month or so its not even funny. i dont think ive seen him win a single game all of december (maybe one survivor game i forgot, but maybe not even that). and he's been coming out pretty regularly ;o (osl, mst, pl). FREAKING GARBAGE. yet on top30 when saviors gonee noooooooooooooooooooo
NaDa's KeSPA debut was at #14 in the march 2002 rankings. I don't actually care to go through every month between then and now to see if he's in all of them but it seems like a reasonable assumption.
Alright I lied I do care.
A short history of NaDa in KeSPA:
Obtained #1 KeSPA ranking in april 2003 and held it until august 2004 when he was usurped by iloveoov. Dropped to #3 in November when Xellos took over his #2 spot. After that, he went between #3 and #6 until February 2006 when he dropped from #4 in January all the way to #12. After dropping a bit more he wormed his way back into the top 10 at #9 for August 2006 and took over the #1 spot again in December 2006. Savior took him down to #2 in the following month, he stayed strong at #2 until July when that scheming bastard Bisu dropped him to #3. Dropped to #6 in August, dropped out of top 10 again in December 2007. Reobtained #10 ranking in June 2008. This month represents the first time since February 2002 that NaDa has not been in the top 20 of KeSPA.
Conclusion: NaDa will fall out of the KeSPA top 30 by the end of 2009, and then stage an epic comeback in 2010.

Helping his eStro team win games and ace matches.
He was 5-6 in proleague overall in December and 2-2 in ace matches, I guess I just don't see how that adds up to gaining 5 ranks. I guess I'm just being overly critical, it is only rank 26 he's at I suppose.

If you can be consistently play in the proleagues and win 50% of your games, I don't think rank 26 is a stretch. Even being average is fairly good considering how few players actually get to play in the proleagues day in and day out.

It's not surprising, since Nada is after all considered the most consistent player.

Oh, nice someone notice me.
Savior is kinda cool but the fanboyism of his fans are just disgusting. For Savior I would like him to come back but since I hate most of his fans I'm against him!!!
MSL is like nothing. Bisu won it and didnt gain much. The Kespa ranking is more like a reflect of OSL performance than anything. GOM and proleague does not matter much too, even less than MSL.
The reason they treat OSL most in Kespa is the competition itself is hard to win and the difficult map pool is used. The preliminary round is much harder than MSL with more quality players. Easy upsets. Not to mention Ro16 at the group stages typically contain top 20 kespa players. Any player who won OSL will be No.1 for a period till next OSL at least.

No... the tournaments are weighted equally, its just that Stork was raping shit up before his OSL win while Bisu came back and raped up the MSL then started dominating.
Does anyone knows, how are the KeSPA points calculated ? One example with BISU (he is the hottest player right now. )
2009 January : 1750.5 - 2008 December: 1751.3
According the TLPD Bisu played 8 games in December 2008, apart from one lose to Jaedong, Bisu win other 7, including beating stork once. Nevertheless his KeSPA point dropped a little bit. I just wonder how it works.

Wow, that's actually pretty fucking incredible. Virtually 7 years straight of being one of the top 20 players in the world? That is pretty insane, and really, really lends credit to the claim of Nada being the best player of all time.
Thanks for taking the time to do that Rostam ^_^
Edit - Wow, I also believe Nada to be the player with the most professional SC games ever played - over 600 games. Most old school greats, like oov, July, Yellow, Boxer, etc., all have in the 300-400 range or so. All the new school greats like Savior, Bisu, Stork, Jaedong, etc. have around 200+. Even Boxer himself is sitting at about 450. Also, Nada's the only player I've come across yet whose list of accomplishments require 2 pages in the TLPD. Sick sick sick.

I just read the ranking faq, its a moving range of previous 3 months throughout 12months.
① Decaying of points through time
The results from the last 3 months are applied 100%, but for every month afterwards, 10% of the points gained "decays"; (so basically a game played 3+ months ago would count for only 90% of the point gained, 4+ months 80% until 12 months afterwards would count 0% into kespa ranking)
that also concludes Savior been sucking the past year. (blizzcon not included)
if there is a graph of all these history recorded, that pretty much gives us the rapefest and slump level huh?
