Storm Zerg, YellOw, creating a positive mood with his intense practice and training. Anytime: "First time I've seen someone practice even harder than Jaedong."
Air Force ACE's youngest member, 'Storm Zerg' YellOw has been creating a positive atmosphere amongst the team members by practicing heavily.
YellOw joined the ACE team on the 24th November 2008 last year, and has been active as a national serviceman, and the youngest member of the ACE team. Although GoRush, who entered the national service on the 16th of February, 2009 is to join the ACE team just a few days before the start of Round 4, YellOw still has to serve (?) 8 seniors who joined the army before him.
It is most likely due to this reason that YellOw has been practicing greatly with overwhelming determination, picking up the team's mood.
YellOw has been consistently ranking high in the intra-team ranking competitions, and has been said to be practicing tremendously, possibly even outpracticing Jaedong, who has recently won his second OSL.
Anytime, who joined the army two months ahead of YellOw and had a meal with Jaedong before his entry into the army stated that 'it was the first time he had seen someone practice even harder than Jaedong", when asked to talk about YellOw's practices.
Air Force ACE is practicing hard for Round 4, not just YellOw, but the newest recruits as well. ACE coach Yoo Sung Yul said that "these players, who performed amazingly in the past, and afterwards fell into a slump, are doing so much to liven up the atmosphere of the team", and that "they seem to have returned to their former state". He also added that the "players look more determined, like when they first made their debut, and the fire in their eyes seems to be burning much more fiercely".
Coach Yoo said that "the newest recruits are putting in a great amount of effort", and that the team "has high hopes for them to perform well in Round 4 of the Proleague".
As though to display their change, Air Force ACE has sent out all four of their newest recruits for games 1 to 4, for the match versus CJ Entus on the upcoming 13th of April. YellOw is to play against Much for the second match.
With ACE's members practicing greatly, the big question is whether the Four Musketeers (Anytime, Casy, YellOw, Reach) can succeed in getting the team out of their recent 9-game loss streak.

ACE is going to win at least 3 games this Round of PL. There isn't any doubt in my mind.

Losing to Skyhigh in the finals isn't really something to be ashamed about. Remember also he beat predicted top protoss (lol) GuemChi in the semi's 2-0 as well.

i think they mean "outpracticing" instead of "outperforming" jaedong

I have noticed that ACE has been doing rather well in the MST and GOM. It will be interesting to see if they can finally produce some worthwhile results.

This is great, but lol at their misplaced optimism in Casy

Don't they have limited practice time? How can he outpratice someone who's not serving in military?
|
It's not a practice time issue but a practice partner issue, according to Boxer.

If he actually does end up outperforming Jaedong, this would be the BEST ROUND OF PROLEAGUE EVER

Yeah. I wanted to include him in my team, but couldn't. I could have subbed out thezerg for him, but yellow will lose team points comparatively, so they come out roughly even. And I honestly have no way to use the freed up 2 points in any way to improve my team.

I put YellOw on my team from the very beginning. When I was putting my team together, I told myself to adhere to one and only one rule that cannot be violated: Hong Jin Ho needs to be there.
Now to hope my faith is rewarded. YellOw hwaiting! <3

Unfortunately, ACE's record is already so bad that there's no way they'd make the playoffs even if they won every single remaining game.

yeah, I mean, no offense to you konadora, I love your news work, it's just that I'm sick of Yellow getting all this attention for nothing when he's been a has-been for two years now.
It's funny how the Korean news sites write stuff like this because they know that Yellow is still popular.
What are they going to do when Yellow keeps losing?

Everyone here knows that YellOw was, is, and always will be the pimpest gamer.

Heh, I think yellow's got a pretty decent chance to do well in this apparently zerg-favored time. I put him on my fantasy team, so this article is reassuring. I'm assuming Reach is one of these "new recruits" as well? (Thinking of starleague winners as new recruits is kinda lol, but ok) Reach was too expensive to justify putting on my fantasy team, which makes me sad and happy at the same time because he actually did pretty well in the last round.
|
I definately think with casey and anytime to practice against yellow could become solid zvp/zvt but tbh the level of zvz now is .... absurd.
Btw what does out practicing jaedong mean in terms of games or hours ... that is the part of this that made it aloof =).
|
On April 10 2009 11:09 Zozma wrote: It's not a practice time issue but a practice partner issue, according to Boxer. Yeah. When you play with guys that are worse than the other teams, you're gonna lose no matter how much you train. It like this: wow I beat Rage today, my ZvP must be good. Oh crap I suck I lost in GOM vs some unheard of protoss.. Guess Rage sucks.
|
I really hope ACE can do better this season but I dont see yellow becoming good again. He was simply such bad in the last games I have seen by him.
