When: 1:30 PM ~ 12:00 AM
We'll, here's the plan! We don't have a huge expected turnout but since it's Berkeley we could likely have 15+. Gauging by how many people go we'll have a tournament. A Ro8 tournament would be pointless but we should have more than that. We can do a lot of UMS/1v1/2v2/FFA and watch Blizzcon, etc. I will try to make a flash drive with maps we'll need (iccup maps, ums, etc.). The day will work out as we'll mostly be getting there by about 1:30 PM, head to the counter and pay $16 for the all-day pass and if you've got your own keyboard/mouse you set up and we'll be ready to go. I'll be in a blue shirt with wolves on it :D I have my number in the op now too, so make sure you have it just in case something happens If there is to be a tournament, I will start generating the brackets at 2:00 so do not be late! I will put $20 into a prizepool, if no one else puts anything in I guess it'll be $15 first and $5 second (lol). Around 6:00 PM we'll head out to eat. It depends, I'm still looking at the Steve's Korean BBQ place and it looks pretty far though most people have said it's pretty close. I can also ask the store manager for recommendations, so we're definitely subject to change. If we're going to a restaurant that's often crowded we'll have to decide early so we can get some reservation going on. $10 or so should be enough but bring more in case ($15-$20 is a nice safe amount). After dinner we'll head back and keep playing for a few hours and head home at 11:30 ~ 12:30 PM / whenever the tournament ends.
GL HF
We will most likely be having dinner at the nearby Steve's Korean BBQ, so bring some money for yourself to eat. There is also another Korean restaurant called Epicurean Restaurant which is almost next to Steve's Korean BBQ. Also, bring about $16 for the PC center costs, which will give us a day pass to play the rest of the day. We will probably play for about 5 hours until 6:30 PM, walk 0.8 miles to the restaurant and eat. Based off reviews, it is apparently fairly cheap and one can get a decent meal with $7. "Average Entree: $5.99" is what google says, which is quite a lot cheaper than the Korean Food we ate at Washington D.C. You should probably bring more just in case This might be too far to have to walk, but people have said it is fairly close. We can change the restaurant if need be. If we finish eating by 8:30 PM, we can play the rest of the night. When we leave will depend on when the tournament finishes and how long the store lets us go. You'll probably want to bring your own mouse + mousepad + keyboard for comfort, but they should be provided anyway. Also, Blizzcon will be played on the main projectors so you don't have to miss out on anything important either!
Eudemonia
There will probably be a tournament (preferably double-elim, but only if we have enough time to finish it) with no buy-in and a prize pool. Alternatively, we could try out some group play or something like the OSL (?). I'll be putting in $20 to the prize pool, and we'll see if anyone else feels like giving any. Tournament brackets will be generated with www.binarybeast.com and each round will probably be Bo1 up to the Ro8 where it will be Bo3 with a Bo5 finals. I will learn how to do the brackets better this time than at Washington D.C, and I think what might be good is if everyone signs up beforehand so I won't have to deal with people having to be 30 minutes or an hour late.
Hi folks! The sun is shining and the summer is still here, so let's do a Bay Area / NorCal LAN before the sweet summer is over! I had a ton of fun organizing the Washington D.C LAN and the people there were really awesome to meet. In our area we've had the Berkeley LANs hosted by the Asian American Association - they're fine and fun, but what I realized was that LANs can be so much more amazing. The Berkeley LANs were less than stellar only because they have low turnouts (they only tell people about the LAN like one day ahead of time) and don't have as much talking / getting to know each other (there's no dinner, it's straight playing from 7:00 PM to 3:00 AM).
In the Washington D.C Lan I met tons of really cool people and the turnout was great. We had about 25 people, the dinner was great and we started at about 1:30 PM in the day so we had tons of time to play I already know a lot of you guys here, but let's do a really fun LAN before the summer is over.
I've been searching for some LAN centers already, but does anyone have any suggestions? It'll be great if we can get a cheap center like SeoulPC in Washington D.C ($2 / hour), or if not we can probably get a discounted group rate. Also, if we have some router network specialists who are really good with routers we can take a look at renting out a place and doing a BYOC. In the Berkeley LAN there were quite a lot of router problems, but if we can have some dependable router connections we can look at renting out a place (a school gym maybe, or something) which should be even cheaper than a PC center.
We can take a look at weekdays vs weekends and what the general consensus is. I think I'm getting back on the 2nd of August and I'd be willing to do any weekday / weekend up to the 24th (after which I'll be limited to Fridays - Sundays).
I know there's a lot of SC players here! I mean, there was even a Starcraft class here! Let's do this!
Possible Restaurant Locations: Dae Sung Korean B.B.Q. #A 606 Bernardo Ave., Sunnyvale, CA 94087 (408)736-8903
It seems small since it has no reviews and does not seem to be a major restaurant, but it is the closest to euphNET at a 10 minute walk, other nearby Korean restaurants look like they'd need to be driven to. Of course, there is no absolute need to go to somewhere Korean, but it'd be a nice touch
Poll: Preferred Day For LAN? (Vote): Friday (Vote): Saturday (Vote): Sunday (Vote): Mon-Thurs
I work Sunday-Wednesday but I'm in Fresno and my friend and I would be interested in something. I think EuphNet is still open but all the Norcal LAN centers we visited in our CS days like nJOY, Yobags, Rival5, Geeksalley, Bobafusion(who'd come to Fresno anyway? ) etc are closed now I think. So I wouldn't know where we could have it. Also I have vacation 3rd-10th of August so if it's during that time count me completely!
If we get a cheap PC gaming center that we all want to go to then you won't have to bring your own computer. You will probably want to bring your own mouse and maybe keyboard if you want to be the most comfortable. If we find a place to rent out and we get routers to hook everyone up to a LAN, it will have to be BYOC (bring your own computer). The upside to a gaming center is that it is much more convenient as everything is already set-up and organized. The upside to renting a big room is that it will probably be much cheaper.
It's good to see a lot of new names interested: The turnouts for the Berkeley LANs were not that great because of short notice. Also everyone there was Asian :O It'll be fun with more people

Yup, euphNET is still opening and it's going strong. Yeah, most of the cyber cafes in NorCal/Bay Area around the early CS 1.3 and 1.5 days are gone since they had bad business strategies, and how broadband connection was becoming more affordable. Here are euphNET's hourly rates http://www.euphnet.com/pages/pricing.html and you can also get 1 hour extra if you you make a review (positive of course) for euphNET on Yelp http://forums.euphnet.com/community/showthread.php?t=7811 and if you sign up for iGames and make euphNET your home cyber cafe, you also get a free hour. So 2 free hours combined if you do this and it's really fast. Also if you come in on Monday - Thursday at 5 - 7 PM, it's only $1 an hour because it's their Rush Hour Special same with Midnight Madness.
id be interested, im only 15(be 16 by the time this happens) so i might not be able to make it there but my friend n.jOy_LiQuiD is older and he might be interested to, if he isnt working that day. and ya definitely avoid blizzcon, im at a band camp until august 8th and then i leave for family vacation on 17th(i think) so sometime in between there would work best for me, really any day other then sunday, but i voted friday cuz it would be easiest.
EDIT: and august 10th would be the beset because its my birhtday so i would play free =)
Thanks for the links and suggestions of euphNET, the rates seem pretty decent. I especially like the day passes: Day Pass, Weekday : $20 (Sun-Thurs) Day Pass, Weekend : $24 (Fri-Sat) Although a reservation day pass costs $29, which is a bit too much imo. Maybe since we're a big group we can get a little discount? I might call or ask around on the forums a bit tomorrow when I look at it more.
BYOC Day Pass is a great deal too, for those that can bring laptops and stuff. I think this is looking like the place already. Those two hours that can be got for free by just doing a little stuff seems cool, as well as the rush hour discount - We'll have to see what day is the best to get the cheapest rate possible. If we do get day passes it seems we can't really get those 2 free hours or the rush hour discount, so maybe a combination could work:
Those are both very good deals but will take a lot of very good timing in order to do that and pull it off. Otherwise some day passes should do just fine. Is it very crowded their usually? I don't want to have to resort to the "reservation" passes because they are worse deals.
you can take njoy liquid off the list, i said he might. havent seen him in a couple days but i pmed him on iccup(if that function even...functions..._)
Nice, only one day of the posting and already 13 people have expressed interest Hopefully we can get a good time going. I also found a nearby Korean restaurant that isn't too far away. Check the op for more info
The one thing I am afraid of is that people from Sacramento and Santa Rosa will feel it's too far :/ Carpooling could definitely ease up the route a bit though.
This is perfect! I'll happily be attending, and maybe I'll try to drag a friend or two with me as well! PM reminders when it's finalized, in case *cough* some of us forget or get lazy to check thread?
Cool, updated op with the new people expressing interest! I will definitely give PM reminders, I gave out 2 PM reminders for the Washington D.C. so don't worry To the people who are wishing this was in Chicago or Massachusetts... why not take the initiative and organize your own LANs? Wouldn't that be fun? :D
And you two... should I put you down as "interested"? >: ]
We'll probably have even more... Washington D.C. LAN had like 25 people it was a great turnout. I am pretty sure there are a lot more people in this area too and a lot of people that I know haven't posted here / seen it yet.
Idk, lotsa asians at berkeley. just sayin. im saying we can at least have 16 for a tournamnet. If we are really lucky we could probably fill out the entire cafe?
Ya I think Berkeley LAN alone we had like 14 or 15 people and that was with 1 day notices. For this there are quite a lot of people living here that play so I'm not even sure how many people would show up, but it really depends because filling an entire cafe seems expensive and inconvenient. If we get that many people I'd rather rent out some huge room, but then that would be hard as it'd be BYOC and we'd have to set up tables and network hubs, etc, and I really have no expertise in network hubs at all ;o

Its not to hard is it? I mean its just a box that you plug ethernet into and splits it into multiple signals right?
But ya I guess just having us all in a cafe would be easier.
I was just looking at the euphNET forums here and I found some pretty cool things. I see both free hour deals, which is cool so if we all take just a few minutes to do these a few days before the LAN we could get some pretty nice free hours and also take advantage of other cheap rate specials (the rush hours, etc) which could make the LAN center a good deal. Reviews on the place are abundant and even when reading reviews from people who didn't just do it for the free hour the general consensus seems to point towards this being a great spot that is clean and has good computers and a good environment. I'm also pretty sure they have Starcraft on their computers. This could be looking like the place!
Also, anyone have an ideas about the restaurant? Has anyone been there? Also does anyone know how crowded euphNET is on different times/days? I'm hoping we won't have to make reservations
Also, @ Suppy, there's another Berkeley LAN center that I dropped by recently. It's called Eudemonia and it's basically right next to campus on University between Oxford and Shattuck. It's kind of a mix between a Magic:The Gathering store, a Board Game Shop, and a PC Cafe. The place is fairly large and they have around 25 or so computers. Here's what I think is nice about this place compared to Euphnet: 1) Normal rates are pretty cheap: 20$ for 8 hours, or 6$ for 2 hours, with a summer all-day pass special (until 7/31) for 11$. I did ask what the procedure to coordinate LANs was, but I don't really remember what the guys there told me. I could ask about that again for you if you want. They also had things called lock-ins, which basically are overnight private-party events with food, but i think those are a bit more expensive like ~25$ or so, and we'd need a large party to commit to the idea. 2) Pretty convenient to get there by public transportation (provided you can get to a BART station). It's literally a block away from the Downtown Berkeley BART Station. 3) Lots, and lots of places for food nearby during the day (they all close early though) 4) For the older crowd, there are a couple bars/pubs like in a 3-4 block vicinity, but I am not sure of the details (I am underage and don't drink) - if anyone is interested, you could probably yelp a couple of those places.
Okay, now for the downsides of the place: 1) It closes relatively early - either midnight or 1am depending on the day. We might be able to work something out with them if we have a large enough party or so (they seemed pretty chill last time i talked to them). 2) Parking in Berkeley, at least between 11am-9pm is such a bitch. Most places are metered, and there's a max time limit of 90 minutes at most of those places. If we do an overnight thing, this won't be a problem, because all of the stores on that side of Berkeley close by around 10, and so parking frees up by 9 usually. Metered parking places stop taking effect at 6pm (or all day sunday) and come into effect at 9am. 3) No special rate (or at least the last time I asked) for BYOC
Edit: The place is 4 stars on Yelp, but I think it probably borders more on 4.5 stars, as a lot of the low reviews are moms and dads wanting to buy a board game, and finding that the back, which is the PC Cafe/MTG game room is against their religion or some lame shit like that

If you're planning on the weekends then it's hard to say. Some weekend nights, it's pretty packed, but some aren't. If you go in the afternoon, it should be pretty dead, but once 6 or 7 PM hits, that's when all the DotA, WoW, and L4D players come. Don't worry, every single computer has StarCraft installed. There are 3 rooms with PC's (1 room with xbox 360's) and they're usually empty since everyone likes to play in the lobby and side room. I might come, but it depends on my work schedule.
Previously I said I would bring 'some friends.' I meant 'one friend' and after discussion with him, it appears he has a huge mancrush on evanthethebouncy. So he gave an ultimatum: Only if evan goes, he will go... This is so awkward, what kind of friends do I have?!? Nonetheless, evan please attend!!
The one in Berkeley looks cool and I think we can bargain the rates down, but I was looking at some pics and half the store is devoted to card games and randomly there's a bunch of computers so it's kind of weird. Doesn't seem like the most fitting atmosphere, but it could work Do they even have Starcraft though? I'll put it up as a possibility too and do some more research on it, and thanks for the info on euphNET zoLo
Edit: Actually it looks pretty cool when I look at more pictures... so what do people think between the two centers?
IMO, there's nothing to do in the South Bay after like 10pm because its really hard to find places that are still open. Also, if people not living in the south bay want to go to Euphnet it's probably going to require a 30 mins - 1+ hour drive. The nice thing about having it in Berkeley is that like I said, it's a block away from the BART station, which I think would be a lot more convenient for a lot of people, and there is a lot of other stuff to do in the area.

They DO have Broodwar on all their computers, but sadly, they dont have Iccup on it, or have a way of installing it unless you talk to the owners and have them do it for you. But yea, when I dropped by to check the place out the other day to see if they had Broodwar installed, I started playing some US East pub scrub and then like a couple guys started waching and one of the guys was like, "damn, you'd make boxer proud" lulz
I used go to that Euphnet quite frequently, but sadly, I only go to play DoTA with friends. Stuff that I know about it.
1) There are two MAIN rooms that are not closed by doors, each with about around 16ish computers. 2) There are I believe three or four smaller rooms, each with 4-6 computers each. These rooms are closed rooms used for lanning. 3) Friday-Sunday nights are incredibly crowded, but when you go during a weekday afternoon, you can usually have at least two of the smaller rooms and a large majority of one of the big rooms free. 4) The rates are $3.50 an hour, but you can print a coupon for buy one hour, get one free. I have never tried using that coupon for more than once in a day. Also, I don't know if this coupon will help us a ton if we are buying in bulk and are trying to work out a deal with Euphnet. 5) There are happy hour rates, but I always forget what time they are at. You might have to call them to figure that out, or check their website. 6) I DO NOT KNOW ANY RESTAURANTS VERY CLOSE BY! I usually just hit up Taco Bell or El Pollo Loco, both of which are right next to it. Could someone possibly yelp it? (Sorry, I'm in Taiwan right now and am about to teach some students how to learn English so this is a very rushed post!)
If anyone has any other information or disagrees with some of this stuff, please feel free to post!
BTW, COUNT ME IN FOR THE LAN =D, unless it's on August 8th.
well some of the korean restaurant are bars are opened late in sunnyvale and santa clara, so if ppl are down for korean food/soju there is always that.
99 chicken open until 11:30 VIP open until 2am
Of course there is always regular bars in sj downtown, mountain view, palo alto, and late night food.
Went to Eudemonia again on the way back from the lab, and counted - there are 40 computers. 26 are closer to the front of the store and look like they have newer equipment, and 14 of them are in the back room.
Eudemonia is okay I guess, west side on Berkeley is really dead after 10pm, but we can always walk to the southSide to get something up. Asian ghetto ftw!
In fact I propose we all go to Steve's Korean BBQ (place run by mexicans) which is dirt cheap and serve generous quantities and eat the place out.
If anyone want to show up earlier I'll tour the campus with you guys if you want. Just make sure it's after 8/15th where I'd be taking my finals for my summer classes and I'll gladly help organize the event

This.
Why can't we just have dinner at like 7/8 and then drive back to Euphnet, most people will have cars anyways I would think. And I guess then find some 24 hour place to kick it after. Since Cal starts at like the 23rd and summer classes are ending a couple weeks before that, and combining that with the poll, I guess we're looking at the 15th/16th?
Or if superiorwolf gets back from wherever we COULD have it on the 8th, but I think that might be a little soon. Unless we get our shit together asap
Those are all our weekends that we can use before college starts for a lot of people. And then if those don't work we have all the weekdays I guess, but I think that is not preferred by most people.
I live in Modesto! Not far at all. I'd be interested in attending, I also have two Routers(24) if we end up going to a gym or a place without computers. Anyday is good for me, except sundays. Sounds fun! =P

Steve is Korean and I've actually seen him do the cooking...but yeah it's usually the mexicans who run the place. It's funny that he and his wife both actually talk to them in spanish though.
Getting back from Alaska tomorrow morning, this is the first time I've gotten internet. Looks like it's pretty split between euphNET and between the place in Berkeley, so we might just have 2 LANs sometime, one at each. It looks like the split is pretty even, which is difficult to deal with I'll be back tomorrow to make some more posts.
Also seems liek some people want to do a before 8/15 LAN and some want to do after 8/15... maybe we should have 2 LANs in this month of AUGUST!!! >:D
I did an update of the first page and put more people interested and also tallied people who put which center they would rather go to.
Berkeley: 8 / 14 (the 14 is based off of 6 people I assume would likely come because they have been to numerous past Berkeley LANs) Sunnyvale: 11
It seems there's a lot of people vouching for euphNET, but I think it would be great if we could get even more details on where people would rather go. Berkeley is definitely going to be more convienent for a lot of people especially because of the BART station, and the rates should be cheaper / easier to get ($11 All-day Summer Pass). Since there are a lot of people coming from the South Bay, we could definitely get a lot of people giving each other rides and/or taking BART up to Berkeley. It's true that the South Bay hasn't really had any LANs but I'm sure if we don't do it at euphNET this time I could organize one there next time, but we'll see. It is pretty sucky for people who live minutes away from euphNET to have to come to Berkeley. Seeing how many people are in Sunnyvale though, you guys could easily organize some small LANs too.
So everyone post which LAN is more convenient for you so we can get a better idea of what we are going to do. We're looking at Friday 8/14 - Sunday 8/23, then Friday/Saturday/Sundays after that. Anyone like the sound of Saturday 8/22?
I live very close to euphnet, but for those of you who also do, taking the Bart up to Berkeley isn't too much of a hassle. I think Saturday might be a bad date because of Blizzcon. I was at Euphnet yesterday by the way, and there is almost no way we will get enough seats at Euphnet on a Saturday. I went on a weekday and there were like 30 computers open, but on weekends it's hard to find more than four or five.
Eudemonia 2154 University Ave Berkeley, CA 94704 (510)883-0814
Time: 1:00 PM ~ 11:00 PM
Will stop around 6-7 PM for dinner and come back. $11 summer all day pass for Eudemonia and additional money should be brought for dinner ($15-20 should be fine). Might go to Steve's Korean BBQ at:
2521 Durant Ave # G Berkeley, CA 94704-1760 (510) 848-6166
Google Directions says it's an 18 minute walk though which is probably a bit too far imo.
BART is easily accessible and we can have someone guide people to the LAN center if needed. I'll donate $20 to the prizepool and maybe others might pitch in as well. We'll have a tournament double elimination style and people can also play other games for fun (UMS or other games on the computers). I'll be checking out and calling Eudemonia / checking it out myself and see what it's like and if we can get reservations or anything. People driving from further away should look for rides / BART which shouldn't be too difficult.
--------------------
How does the date sound? Some people have been asking for after the 15th, although I don't especially like having it on a Sunday for those people who have busy Mondays. However, it shouldn't be going to extremely late anyways (although in the Washington DC LAN we went to 3 AM even though we planned to end at like 11:30 PM). I hope people in Sunnyvale will still come via BART and or carpools - maybe we'll have a LAN in euphNET at some other time but I don't think it'll be this time.
yea i enjoy it. for those who might not theres chinese (hole in the wall Tai Shan charm), a ramen place, and a japanese sushi place along with some others. Bring cash though because they are all minimum charge/cash only bastards.
Even if i dont go if you guys go to steves pop your head in to the chinese place and say high to Mr Zhang
I live in Livermore. I consider both Sunnyvale and Berkeley nearby places, so either one is fine for me. If a LAN is held at each location, then I will probably attend both of them.
I can go to both, my final ends at 8/14. Just gimme a call, if it's at Sunnyvale it'll be more convinient, if it's at Berkeley I'll just go back to berkeley for that day. Either way.
Don't worry too much where it is supwolf, can't please everyone. Just make sure whatever it is, it's a good one.
Alright I've emailed them and they have the 15th which is open (but there will be a few people playing Aion and all for their event) and then the 22nd which is open (the day of Blizzcon). Thankfully, they'll be playing Blizzcon streams on the main projector, so I'm pretty sure this date is going to be the one. If you really love Blizzcon you can still watch it from the LAN center Are there a lot of people actually *going* to the Blizzcon though? How do you all feel about the 22nd? I'm trying to avoid the 15th because a lot of people are going to be after the 15th.
Saturday 22nd, 1:00PM ~ 12AM, or we can start later and afaik get the whole LAN center to ourselves privately once it gates later into the night.
Damn. The 15th is bad because I have a friend's birthday party and a festival in SF to go to. XD I'm moving into my apartment around August 20th in San Jose, so 22nd would be really good!
Ok this is going to impossible to satisfy everyone when there's all these specific time ranges and preferred places. I say just get someone in Sunnyvale to organize a Sunnyvale LAN on the 15th or something and I'll find a date for this Berkeley one, maybe 22nd or even later since some people also seem to not like it. I'm not going to be able to do Sunnyvale this time but I might do it in the future if no one from that area cares to organize a LAN. Anthony it'll suck if it's on the 22nd and you can't come, but you'll be having fun at Blizzcon anyways I think for now I'm trying to aim for a 22nd at Eudemonia. De4ngus or Fontong, you can take the BART which isn't too inconvenient or organize your own LAN which would make things work out nicely. If not I'll try to get someway to make it easier for Sunnyvale people in a future LAN (maybe a big LAN merge in some gym or something we could set up sometime)
Ah, well I guess it isn't very convenient then. Well I guess it's up to you guys to organize your own LAN or to drive/carpool the way up (about an hour?) or just wait until maybe a big LAN happens. It's not terribly far, but it's not really close either. I think the 22nd will be the most likely date right now.
BART extends to Fremont. iirc, weekend parking at that BART station is free. It's probably not too hard to organize a carpool up to the BART station. 7c.Neptune already mentioned that its impossibly hard to find enough computers free on a weekend in Euphnet, unless you worked out something beforehand. I'm not sure if you guys have, but since it seems Suppy is more committed to Eudemonia, if you guys want to have something go on at Euphnet, you guys should probably give them a call some time and work some details out.

there we go that's a decisive answer. See you 8/22 at berkeley
the area around steve's korean bbq has a lot of different foods (chinese, japanese, more korean, indian, thai, viet, italian, cheesesteaks, mediterranean) with a bunch of centralized tables and seats so you don't all have to eat the same thing :S
either day is fine for me. but it seems people are moving in on that day. i am also moving stuff into my apartment that day as well but only in the afternoon.
Hmm... so people are moving on that (29th?) day? Seems like no one is very interested in the 22nd. Maybe we could try the 30th or something as well... or 23rd... seems it's hard to satisfy everyone, but if no one will come on the 22nd we'll have to change something ;p Also it would be more convenient for me as I just checked on my schedule, but I'm pretty open. Too many people are like 'it's too far' or 'the date is wrong' or 'I don't want to come before school starts' >: P LR!!!! >: [
well, the people whod rather have it a different day need to speak up. the whole point is to get as many people as possible so people need to actively participate in bringing this thing to fruition. im down both days but i need some time for planning.

Well...
We can always organize something later in the school year. It is unwise to change the dates since we've already commmited to it. (I've already told my parents I need to be back in Berkeley on Friday for it) Let's just advertise it a lot
kawaii ill be in socal for school starting the 7th of september =O then i can go to Socal LAN xD. yea lets get the word out. i still think we should post this non-blog style
i can do both, but id like to know a good time in advance. ive already made some plans around it being the 22nd, so its a slight hassle. and about having it both weekends, that COULD work, but having a lan like this two weeks straight is kinda o.o
3 days yall. by the way, BWML is in at noon PST, so ill be at eudomonia early to make surei can make that. if anyone wants to go earlier than 12 ill be there
Cool, I'm excited Also paper, if you can come and sj's around you definitely should bring him too, they have dota so
We'll, here's the plan!
I'll bring my camera / videocamera and we can get some pics and some video going on, maybe some interviews LOL
Sorry to resurrect a thread about a LAN that's past, but I wondered if any of you folks in the Bay Area would be interested in San Francisco/Bay Area AMD Community Event
AMD's been cooking up some very cool stuff ...
On the evening of September 10th, AMD would like to invite fans to join us for the unveiling of a new visual PC experience. I can't say exactly what you're going to see there, but I can tell you that we’ll be holding a big party with food, drink and tunes, very cool demos of unreleased games, incredible hardware set-ups you have to see to believe and a lot more.
Interested in joining us?? Send me an e-mail at MonicaAMD@gmail.com with the following details:

Oh yeah, was it cool? What did you do there? Also, anyone near me wanna go watch some movies or anything? I'm in Walnut Creek area.
I'm thinking another LAN soon. Now that school is started, I think the turnout will be even higher so I don't know if we can fit into the LAN center as conveniently... Does anyone have connections to getting some room in Dwinelle or have any router network experience? Also, if anyone is in AAA someone should ask if they are planning a LAN B4 Time soon as well. If I recall correctly it was in November/December last year
