If in PvP the opponent attacks with a reaver goon army, what do you focus on, the reaver, the shuttle or other goons?

Games against the same toss on PTR bnet. My build execution still sucks but I feel I was in winning positions while playing the game... and then I check replay after and I'm like 50 supply behind? One game I tried doing 3hat spire 5 hydra (badly....) and the other game I tried to fake 3 hat hydra and then I didn't keep my hydras near his natural and he just took a third. What can I be doing to not lose these games besides git better? Ie what sort of retarded mistakes am I doing that I'm not noticing
im watching larva lose to bisu on stream and he's smashing his kb and throwing himself on the ground after getting 0-2d thats how if eel right now ao;idfjga;e4iojtlked

I will look at the replays I'm too oldschool now, can't watch rep, but I don't know much about the mu anyways.
But I think you need to change your perception on loosing.
Noone starts with a 50% winrate in BW, you start with 20%, 10%, 5%...
This game is 50% knowledge, 50% practice. After you have played a few hundred games, you have probably 5-10% of what you need in both fields to not get beaten up all the time... it will take a few thousands games to have decent knowledge and control over this game. You cannot have more than a rough idea of your build order and at most OKish execution right now, you have no idea how much more there is to a well played game you see on stream.
You don't make retarded mistakes - that is mean to all retardeds btw - BW makes you look like an idiot because it requires what we humans are worst in: multitasking. Sick sick amounts of complex multitasking, dexterity and thinking combined.
You can start buying keyboards and smashing them like Larva - after you have played tens of thousands of games... before that just don't worry about losing, it's natural, put all your energy into calmly finding one mistake to fix after every loss.

Can't watch replays right now, but there is no reason not to keep your hydras near his nat with this build, the build works by forcing cannons. He shouldn't even have the minerals to add gateways (at least not too many), if he neglects defence too much you can go back into making hydras and kill him right there

Positionally dependent. If he moves the shuttle to far forward, target it, if he moves it too far back, target the reavers. If your army is pure goon and his has reavers + good control you'll lose

I'm not a P user but since they're too busy a-moving and pressing R that's my 2 cents

Hey guys, I love Brood War and think the game is perfect in every way, but what if we add MBS, unlimited unit selection, and automine to the game? WOULDN'T THAT BE SO MUCH BETTER? WOULDN'T IT?

Maybe I can produce some useful advice. Send me the replay(s).
Edit: Oh, you linked the replays. Duh. Shows how much I pay attention...

Maybe not as simple of a question as someone would normally ask, but:
How much time, in game-seconds (having the game set to fastest speed) does it take for a larva to spawn?
|
12,61 in game-seconds. The same as for drones.

How did you get this number?
|
To get any build time in game-seconds you multiply the build times given in liquipedia (http://wiki.teamliquid.net/starcraft/Zerg_Unit_Statistics) with 15/23,8. I found this information some time ago in a thread on TL. Don't ask me about the origin of the number, I forgot it.

Why is 12 nexus not considered a staple PvT opener in the same way 12 hatch is the standard ZvT opener when it's arguably just as safe if not safer?

I remember some years ago, like 2008/2009, some korean pros when doing a 4 or 5pool would build and cancel a drone during pool construction. I always thought that was done with the intention of having the next larva after ling construction spawn faster, but never got it confirmed.

From my experience, for many Protoss players it is a standard opening, but it relies heavily on not being scouted fast or the opponent screwing up his micro. The difference to 12 hatch is, you should be able to successfully bunker rush a 12 nexus, when you scout in time even when you opened with a safe build. But you cannot really bunker rush a 12 hatch with a standard 11 rax opening.

Bdcause terran can rush with marine + scv + vulture and its very hard to defend as protoss.
