If he goes heavy goon then you just make some scvs from your 2nd cc and wait for a few more tanks before moving down to claim your natural.

Thanks if you don't know the wall, just make four or five marines and put an scv or two on the ramp. if he attacks the scv, pull it back to your min line after 3 hits and the zealot should run away or it will die. you could use the marines as a fd, in a bunker if you siege expo, or just put one at each toss expo.

I have a really hard time dealing with them and it sets me back really far. Then they just follow up with mass goon or reaver, neither of which I can hold off since I was delayed so much If you don't wall, his zealot should approx be there when you have 2 to 3 marines. I think it is good practice if you fd to send one scv at the ramp to block off the zealot. Or alternatively if you have good micro, 3:25. Usually if you can hold the first zealot off well enough, the second one will usually put him behind.

Thanks Just remember that depot should be going above or right of rax. Any depot-depot will wall out zealots. So, just to reiterate: depot or rax-depot rax

Thanks I think on liquidpediaphile you can see images of effective nubile walls on most played maps/ You can also figure out the walls yourself in single player. If it is marine tight... lings can't get through, if it is scv tight... zealots can't get through (there are a couple exceptions to this such as the most obvious way of walling top right position on fs). I also reccomend developing building and turret placement you feel is optimal but i guess that's your choice.

Another one that just hit me: Does Koreans have the same keyboard set-up as we do? I know Germans doesnt, but maybe they´re required to play "standard" in foreign tournaments?

I remember seeing a picture of boxer's keyboard once with select keys removed, including "n", "j", "k", and "," so that the "m" was isolated.

Yeah, reinforcing why it's because they play on the english version, germans play on german. obviously blizzard didn't know it was going to take off so hard in korea in the first place, so they didn't design one specifically for it. Honestly, people say it took them so and so to get to a certain rank, but some people are naturally better at it, and although you can say it takes a year going up to D+ on iccup, the time people play during that year heavily differs. Look at Kolll for example, he got like B- after 5 months and nobody believed him. It's too varied to say "you're going to get ranked up if you play for another month!" etc, even if its just a rough estimate.

What are the best resources for improving mechanics? So far I've come across Day[9] Podcasts - http://www.teamliquid.net/forum/viewmessage.php?topic_id=89581 FPVODs - http://www.teamliquid.net/forum/viewmessage.php?topic_id=272381 (and many other sources such as BNet Attack, etc) Day[9] Daily #252 - http://blip.tv/day9tv/day-9-daily-252-secrets-of-hotkeys-apm-and-mouse-movement-4730506 Are there other reputable sources for teaching mechanics? Anything at all would be useful. Also, in terms of FPVODs, which pro (specifically Protoss) is considered the most mechanically sound that I should study? Slightly more involved question but I don't think it warranted its own thread. Thanks!
