Bootcamp windows....Its what I did...its what everyone I ever knew trying to play bw on a mac has done.
I am almost certain thats the only way to get AH. You could try a windows VM... but i've never seen one work well enough to play a game on.
Trust me, you will be happier playing in windows...after just a little while with linear mouse acceleration I can't even imagine playing starcraft on a mac. (I still do pretty much everything else in mac)

Let's say your opponent is terran and scouts you first. You kill off his SCV but when he still has vision of your mineral patches he right clicks another SCV and so this SCV can pass through your zealot and anything blocking the ramp. Is this allowed in proleague and iccup?

There are other thread for that use the search option u lazy Plzzzz I entered "color problem" in TL search, 5 rows returned, 2 of them are about Win7, one is completly unrelated, remaining two require shutting down program and my post states clearly . Which was the case there as we were hosting and obs-ing the remote game. Thank you for understanding. All I can suggest is updating the drivers for your graphics card, I had the same problem a few years ago (XP and old PC) and that solved it

Did blizzard ever patch the Obs over turret glitch?

I apologize if this is a dumb question. I have recently become interested in trying out some competitive broodwar. I have downloaded the iccup launcher, and made an account. But when I log in I am not sure what to do, can anybody explain how finding games in iccup works? And basic etiquette in finding games would be greatly appreciated as well. Thanks in advance!

click the join tab, and choose one on one or top vs bottom if you prefer team play. then join an appropriate game.

simple
you join a game or make one. you can pm somebody around your level if they want to play, you can spam the chat channel "D/D+ FIGHTING SPIRIT CHOBO ONLY OK" or you can ask in the channel op teamliquid, or the most easy most common way, just press the join button on the left and join a game.
if you want to make a game, people can randomly join like that, and thats the easiest way. i'd reccomend you learn how to port forward (6112 both UDP and TCP or whatever it is) so you can make games. the people that join are usually worse then the people who make.
also, since you're new, i'd reccomend you find that "sgs beginner clan thread" and add me on iccup, same name there as here.
gl my bro.

There is no reason to patch it as you just have to hit stop and the turret can fire anyways.
It's allowed in PL etc too. (Stork known user of it)

I have already done port forwarding 6112-6119. I used the search option but I didn't find anything useful. Can someone help me or link me to a thread that will.
Just logging off and back onto battlenet/iccup works also. I have the same problem too. Logging off and back in usually resets the ping/latency to something lower.

when you are ahead as zerg against T or P, what should I do to defend against reaver or tank/marine drops? leave lurkers all around the base? or have my army nearby?

I'm no expert, but having scourge in key locations really helps.
In professional ZvT lategame, sometimes I see zergs leave a control group of cracklings around their main and put rings of overlords/scourge around it for sight. A quick reaction can allow the cracklings to demolish marines as they exit the dropship

Against T, have a defiler near a nydus so it's is easy to travel and plague. Watch the Jaedong vs Baby game from 2011 SWL. Towards the end, baby relies more and more on drop and it is almost completely shut down.
