Man, I am feeling sorry for Hyuk. I am not speaking as a SKT fan, but just as an observer. He is on a 6 loss streak, right after he erased the T1 Zerg image. I think that he deserves a bone here. I hope he qualifies.
I have lost almost all faith in type-b. It looks like he is doomed to the by.hero curse. Hope that curse does not be fall Shine as well. Go KAL! Own some zergs...

YES hyuk gets off easy with what should be a BO win (hopefully). i like zero too, dont get me wrong, but i think the games in general will be better this way!
Type B bunches his lurks and they all die to storms. Kal with huge army, eco, and tech advantage. Placng his fourth while he runs over Type-B's third base
I honestly feel bad for Hyuk.. even if he wins and especially if he loses. Seriously... this guy is just a walking disaster and you know he feels awful about it
Base trade was not a good idea for Hyuk right there... He losses most of his army but its 3 base vs 1 right now, Kal mined out his main and nat. Hyuk's army is dead tho.
Ok, Hyuk sees it with only about 4 kills this time >< doesnt lose an entire base to 1 templar. DT's are winning Kal the game, killing things left and right
On December 10 2009 18:23 Chen wrote: Hyuk has a hive but no fucking hive tech >.> this is so ridiculous. Kal with so low econ hes morphing templar into archons straight off.
I think Huyk lost it when he decided not to destroy the completely undefended main nexus, instead throwing away mutas into cannon fire for a few probe for like 2 minutes while Kal teched.
Insane comeback by kal from initial harass on his base, dark archon pimp in start and killing like ~25 drones with dts and just hyuk taking storms like the man he is was just sweet to see.
On December 10 2009 18:30 AlCabone wrote: I don't think it was a comeback, It was hyuk getting lucky with those mutas and after that screwing it all up.
It looked pretty grim before Kal got off that maelstrom
Huyk made the most amateurish mistake in the game right now and lost because of it not having spread overlords over your hatcheries and the map is D/D+ level mistake .

Yeah I totally agree, he even had speed upgrades, his lurkers might have worked better if he also sniped some observers, but he hardly brought any ovies with him, at one point he flew like 5-6 scourge into Kal's army with no overlord in sight.
i honestly would really like to say that hyuk played a great game but kal just had an epic comeback (e.g. firebathero vs flash) but hyuk just fucked up big time. even i learned to place an overlord in bases/get overlord with army within the first couple months i played.
I will be so mad if zero dont advance i dont even wanna think about type-b or even hyuk advancing ..... Hope this will not be like bisu and savior group
with both players on 2 gas but type-b ahead on gas, zero has three options:
1. be aggressive with his mutas as he has the counterattack advantage with his spores. would have been easier if he didn't piss away all those lings 2. try and take an expansion. type-b is doing a great job of shutting down zero's expo attempts and is even expanding to 6 himself 3. do something crazy with hive-tech. we see a queen's nest going up for zero so looks like he's going with this now
waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay to many zerglings for Type B to deal with. I think Zero is just BMing at this poing, he has sooo many air units. THAT ALL GET PLAGUED. GG from Type B, finally

See? That game was 100% winnable for type-b, he did a great job of putting himself ahead before Zero started his queen's nest. He just wasn't good enough to keep up with Zero once hive-tech came into play.
Oh man, the Queen is really ZerO's signature unit now. He's managed to use them in televised games against all three races now (and win no less). Awesome. I love this guy.

Yeah, we need Zero in this MSL. If I'm not mistaken, the 2nd seed from this group is up against Flash... and Flash vs Zero sounds like something I want to watch.

I mean yeah obviously it's not impossible to win as 9pool, but it's really an uphill battle. type-b did the right thing and expanded while he had air control, but his economy was still horrible compared to zero because zero had a second hatchery for so long. anyhow, we can't really draw any hard conclusions since games like this happen roughly once in a lifetime.

Now that you say it Flash vs. Hyuk would be epic. :D
Wow, Zero how now legitimately used Queens in every match up to intelligent success. I just never considered ensnare on mutas but I guess a fast ass flying mass debuff unit is actually pretty good against mass muta. :>

there was an offline prelims game between YellOw and firefist I think, but that one ended before we could see any hive units iirc
There was some game with Great last season with Hive Tech.
He didn't use it. It was vs by.hero, iirc. (Only one side got it in those games, and they lost).
Are you sure it was never used? I recall seeing Defilers in that game, but my memory might be failing me.
The Yellow game had ultras and defilers for both players. Dont know if the defiler was used. Vaguely remember a greater spire as well.
But this game. . . seeing Zeros flying units was like watching Leta and his million wraiths. Great game, hope the next one is as exciting!
the yellow vs ggplay game had honestly every single zerg unit with the exception of ultralisks and guards (i keep thinking there were but im positive there werent). also you got to see every single zerg magic being used except for broodlings

You can't draw hard conclusions about hive-tech zvz sure, but 9pool vs 12pool you certainly can. It's certainly an uphill battle, but the most important economy in ZvZ is number of geysers you're mining from and they were even on that with type-b having a higher muta count.

Awesome! It's going to be tough but zero's one of the few zerg's who can give Flash a fight right now.

yeah being flash i would be scared of zero's flexible playing style. hes one of the zergs who could really play with flash's mind. but stil.....i think flash will destroy him.

I can't wait for Zero-Flash. Other than Jaedong, I think Zero is the Zerg with the biggest chance of breaking Flash's streak right now. Of course, I'm a bit biased...
Wow, what an epic fail by hyuk. Nothing like incredible brilliance in using fast mutas to defend the +1 speedlot rush, followed by countless number of stupid mistakes that allowed Kal to come back from impossible odds.
Edit: His final game against Zero was equally facepalm worthy. 12 hatch > 12 Pool? Check. Ovie scouting advantage? Check. And still lost...

Zero Fighting Im really glad he advanced out of this group and didnt fall by playing 3 ZvZs. He really deserves to do well. Kal being in is great too, the more tosses at this point the merrier.
Man, it's people like Zero that make me wonder why Fantasy gets the "Revolutionist" moniker.
The guy has made the queen -- an otherwise considered ineffective/useless unit (you can say that Jaedong/Hyvaa made it useful in ZvT but they used it a couple of times and then never again) effective in all three match ups, much better than Fantasy's Valks which were only used in one match up. On top of that, he's not only a one unit gimmick. He's got amazing ZvP and strong ZvT, and comes up with really unorthodox and crazy strategies on a daily basis -- like that straight ling to ultra thing on Fighting spirit he used.
It seems like every other week Zero pulls out something new and exciting. Call this kid the Zerg Revolutionist.

its really sad that just because he plays in Woongjin noone really cares about him and they go and look at his TLPD page and see his crappy stats due to his terrible start as a progamer and just ignore him whileas the past 3 seasons he has outperformed Effort in every single SL yet he gets 0 hype at all. He is the T version of Light, except he is really fucking entertaining and his games are always a joy to watch due to his creativity + really sick micro.
<3 Zero, one day when he reaches the finals hell get the hype he deserves ( I dont think half of the posters know he reached a semis before which is sad too T__T)

Yeah, and that semifinal he got destroyed by Lux and it started his epic ZvZ slump, which is another reason why I think he's getting overlooked. People are still saying he's terrible at ZvZ even though he's gotten over that slump, too.
I've been hyping Zero since I started following the proscene near the end of last year, so I've been waiting to say "I told you so" for a while, heh.

You're gonna have to wait a while longer; Flash will roflstomp him 2-0 and send him out of MSL. :D

Thank Buddha Hyuk lost. Any else noticed that, lately, Zero's ZvZ has stopped sucking? He's a serious contender this time. For realzzz! Figures he has to play Flash though. Tough draw. Should be sexy.
ZerO should be able to at least put up a fight vs Flash, if not win the series. I agree that his ZvZ is looking better these days, he seems to be making better decisions altogether.
