Hwasin and Jaedong, Kal's gotten enough spotlight being tall and all... you know thats important! I want more TvZ, ZvP is delicious to watch but I get less out of it Especially when you see a triple-SSS class Zerg make the race look imbalanced.

Well Kal could give Jaedong a run for his money . I would like to see a rematch of the S4 MSL finals .
Kal and Jaedong gonna advance. likely 2 other 3 - 0's. vP is hwasin's worst match-up and i don't see it improving today since match point and ultimatum seem to favour toss a bit over terran, Stats' vZ looks not bad however except Stork and Movie i don't think any other Toss can take 1 game off the current Jaedong whose vP win streak is 8 and counting.

I think Stats has had a Shine-like run of players playing bad against him. He's not that good at all.
I changed my mind. Stats could be more dangerous to Hwasin or Kal in the semi-finals. Hope Jaedong does his thing, up to semi-finals/silver-medal finals.
This is going to be great. The MSL is way better than the OSL this time around. Better intro, better players, seeded matchups so JD and Flash are on opposite ends...
Also, it will be the MSL that Kal wins, and that alone makes it bomb.
EDIT: @ above: They did a little 'lock on, blow it up' thing.

Cant blame ferron, its basically a player that your streaming directly from MBC's server. Its not a relay. I do prefer it over OGN's WMP, since you have to login and the fact that the audio level cant be altered for some strange reason.
Hmz will hwasin be able to timing push on 3 bases before all 5 of kal kick in? seems weird to expand to 4th base now if you are hwasin, especially with this pattern.
Top left expo seems most natural next for hwasin but dno, he could take highground of his own base and take both bases.
Ok people it's (sort of) like this. Protoss tries to max off of 3 baseas quickly as possible. Then when they hit 200/200 they try to damage the T army as much as possible even if T is turtling. Then they can rebuild f aster than the terran while adding their 4th and 5th. If T maxes out too soon (ie: you dont attack when you hit 200/200) they will be too strong once they push for you to stop even if youre 200/200 because your resource advantage won't be strong enough yet.
Remember what "a certain someone" said. Just get half the map and sit on it. By getting the 5th Hwasin has half the map and can easily ride this out to victory and anger from the TL community.

he's playing well in response to kal's early 5 bases, taking the peak where he could push to 5 and 7 easily was smart
I don't think people should hate turtle terrans on this map because it's the best strategy and many times protoss sort of "cause" it by taking many bases. Other maps are a different story.

Okay, I guess I will admit it pisses me off when I see Terrans sieging up on that ramp below the pods and protoss have no way to attack. It feels really cheap then. But I don't play terran or protoss, or supporting many players that do.

usually i really dont like it when terrans turtle on 2 player maps and win but what hwasin was not like the typical turtle terran. Usually 12 would be kal's but hwasin take 12 forced actually kal to take 5 and 6 which is closer to hwasin's base making it easier to kill them.

At the time you are referring to he could have merged his two arbiter/goon forces and denied Hwasin the high ground. Since Kal had bases at 5 and 6, once Hwasin took his high ground it got very hard.

Marine rush doesn't work so well when ur opponent's units also have a range attack. -___- Why would Hwasin think Kal would go for 12 nex on a 3 player map?
Hwasin came THIS close to winning set 3. Sadly, his barracks were a bit too far from the optimal spot considering Kal's position, so his reinforcements were just a bit late.

Wow, I thought Hwasin was genius targeting probes, if he had been building SCVs instead. If he was totally all-in he should have just targeted goons and made sure bunker got up
This is a good series so far. After last night's games it's cathartic. I say this because games 1 and 2 were both pretty cool and I like a little cheese thrown in to keep the viewer on edge.

Apparently 2 fact is terrible against 12 nex, so no, it's not like 12 hatch ZvP because terrans don't scout it immediately and just respond with a FE of their own.

It's Jaedong in a ZvP IN A Bo5!
If Jaedong loses we can really say slump
No. We would say "ok 65% means you still lose 35% of the time .... go figure"
I hate all this crap about if X loses he is slumping.
Flash could fall out of both leagues within 4 days and even if he does, he STILL wouldn't be slumping his stats would just be averaging out. Just like jaedong HAD to start losing ZvZ and Iloveoov HAD to start losing TvZ and savior HAD to fall ZvP.
Everybody HAS to lose in the pro gaming world. flashes 70% still means that out of ten games he will lose three. If five of those are in a series, and he loses 3 out of 5 he is still playing at his level as long as he wins the next five in a row. All this slumping nonsense drives me nutts.
There is Peaking. There is resting on a mesa. There is crashing and burning.
Slumping is nothing more then the averaging out of insane peaks.

Well, obviously the fact it comes this late in the game is implied. Jaedong had hive morphing (and 4 bases) by the time the pure dragoon was reaching his nat. =P
Early 1 base dragoon/reaver timing vZ is sexy though. I'd love to see some of that.
This is how it goes down when lesser P face jaedong - They think he is near unbeatable and try to "get away" with some unusually greedy stuff or plain cheese. I think I'd give about 4:1 for it being anything other than Flash vs Jaedong finals. Jaedong having a decent amount of prep time for games is incredibly scary, and I'll be surprised if he doesn't take the MSL as a result.
We'll have to see how Flash holds up under his upcoming intense practice schedule. He's already not scheduled to play in one of KT's matches this week.
commentators: 3-0 you are in the semifinals! congrats! how do you feel? jaedong: yes.. i feel better than i thought i would. though i haven't reached the finals, last time i reached the semifinals, and this time i will pass the semifinals and reach the finals to win. commentators: last time you said you wanted to get revenge. did you know you had a 10 streak win against protoss recently? jaedong: i knew i was doing well against protoss so i came here knowing i would win. commentators: you will be playing kal. a lot of people are heavily anticipating a finals with you and flash! you've been winning against everyone but only lost to flash. are you looking forward to that? jaedong: well, once i get to the finals and play flash, i think that would be a grand finals match i'd be honored to play in. i am also in debt so i think this is a good opportunity for me. so in this finals, i will make sure to play flash and have a great revenge. commentators: well in order to achieve that, he must first beat kal. well no matter woh he plays in the finals, reaching the finalsi n itself is a huge feat! last words? jaedong: i have played him before and won, and i'm winning head to heads but i will make sure not to lose focus, and in order to repay the fact that i lost last time in ro4, i will make sure it doesn't happen again this time. commentators: happy birthday jaedong!
JD Interview translation from abascus in my channel. Huge props to him, and I claim absolutely no credit:
JD:I havent won yet, but last time i got to semifinals. This time I want to win the MSL Q: Kal said he wants to beat you in the finals. Did you know you have 12 straight wins against protoss? JD: I came prepared. I was playing to win. I want to set records as well Q: Kal is also protoss. The stage is set for record setting. Many people are waiting for JD vs Flash. Are you ready for it? JD: Yea. I want to get to the finals against Flash. I have debt against Flash. This is a good opportunity for me. I want to get my revenge Q: FIrst you have to get past Kal. The situation is dramatic between Jaedong and Flash. The best player will win JD: I've fought Kal many times. I will not underestimate him. My goal is to win MSL. I'm not going be eliminated in the semi-finals

imho kwanro has a better chance against flashs tvz style than most others. and kwanro knocked him out of the last msl.....
btw i just saw that jaedong and kal are gonna play a match on outsider in their upcoming pl series next week.

Flash is 2-0 against Kwanro this season and neither of those games were close.
Of course, a Bo5 is different from a Bo1, but still.
JD 3-0ed his OSL-group 2-0ed his MSL-group, 2-0 against Firefist and 3-0 against stats (plus a very reasonable record in PL, including 4-0 in ace-matches). If it weren't for Flashs monster-run right now, JD would dominate like last year.
Funny how one player can change everything within a short time.

Kwanro is the only zerg who might have a chance to beat this insane flash that has developed over the last two months.
His weird aggression/micro/timing can tilt the flash machine.
As of right now if jaedong and flash played today. Jaedong would lose. He NEEDS to find himself ZvT again.

Everytime jaedong is in the semi's this happends.
fuck I know this is the 3rd time it has happend where he has a PL match right before a best of against the same player ....
His match against hwasin, his match against bisu (gom special match) his match against Kal now and I know there is another time that I can't remember. hmmm.
Wow, Jaedong has now equaled Bisu's vP Elo peak and if he wins his ProLeague game against Kal he will likely equal or break SaviOr's vP peak. Not bad considering Jaedong was considered a (relatively) poor vP player when he first broke into the scene.
Damn, if JD wins against Kal in PL he will break Saviors ZvP Peak (and be the only player with two #1 ELO peaks in individual matchups). Good to see that someone who is not Flash can still set records nowadays

should be an advantage for jd. if he wins the pl match before the boX-series, he got the psychological edge. if he loses, he can start with the anger-mode in the first game of the boX.

Yes. A Bo5 means an upset is less likely than a Bo1, and the player with more experience is more heavily rewarded--both of which tilt things further in Flash's favor.

Jaedong vs Kal? Wow, but to be honest Kal CAN definitely beat Jaedong juding by the condition he is in. Kal have some of the best ZvP players to train with July for super aggressive, by.Hero for a Macro game and Calm for mind games. But then Jaedong is Jaedong.

Yah. I know right? Kal is in the best house to practice PvZ.
I feel there's an 80% chance of flash vs jd finals at least. As stated before, Kal has strong pvz, but strong is just not good enough to beat JD in a bo5, you need to be spectalur.

Yes the Last MSL...which really has no bearing on this MSL because well...Flash is playing MUCH MUCH better, and he wasn't even that bad in the Lost Saga.
