Actually, out of his entire MSL career(at least 9 and counting) and out of his entire OSL career(at least 5 and counting), only 3 people who beat him went on to win. 2 of them won against Jangbi in finals, 1 of them was Bisu when Hwasin somehow came up to the semi-finals.
Everyone else got knocked out, including everyone in Hwasin OSL groups that he did not make it out of. Important facts to base Flash's success? No. Fun facts to judge Flash with? Sure.

Luxury beat Hwasin and went on to win Lost Saga MSL and Bisu beat him and went on to win GOM MSL 2 and Clubday MSL. GGPlay also beat him in Daum OSL and went on to when his title. So yes, a fair number of players have won titles after beating hwasin.

A fair number of ex-champs beat hwasin in SLs too. But this curse stopped occurring a few seasons ago. This kind of stuff happens when your qualification rate to the ro16 is 100%.

Remember last season he got humiliated by Flash in OLS Ro8 and then dominated him although he looked just as invincible as right now in the MSL final. Plus he has secret weapons such as power outage and killer eyes.
So... I'm afraid Flash still has a serious rival in this MSL.

The only set that can be considered to be one was the last set, and Flash had to deal with the pressure of his father (later ejected), his coach (threatened to walk out with team), and Kespa referees "arguing" over the black out set.

The only game that was back-and-forth was the third game. And there was domination, JD raped Flash completely in mind games (He had always the BO advantage).

I'm a huuuge Flash fan, but Jaedong really played better that day.

Nice games today, glad to see free advance. Hydra played some baller ZvZ, where does cj get these all these gosu's to be. Unrelated but how are people still doubting JD, kids gonna rise like a phoenix into the Bo5's and take it home the same way he's done the last 3 (4?) season

I think Baby has an interesting playstyle. maybe not my favourite style of play but at least he's doing hes own thing. Had a hard time against MVP though. Anyways, I hope he wins this MSL.

I really want to see FvJ in a standard game with Jaedong remembering consume. Not that the mind games of the NATE MSL weren't fun, let's just see who the better player is straight-up.

Er I think it's pretty fair to say that Flash looks even better now than he did the previous MSL finals. The real reason being that he lost a final and is still tearing shit apart (including beating Jaedong like a day later)
Is Jaedong a threat in Bo5? Always. Did I consider the last MSL final a domination? No not at all. Jaedong won the first, Flash won the second, the third game is a fuck fest, and the fourth game was a rock rolling down the hill. Jaedong played better that day but it sure as hell wasn't domination. Domination implies a 3-0 rapefest.

No it doesn't.
JD destroyed the first game with his first wave of muta. Flash made no cannons and got rolled. Second game JD took a pretty serious lead that he burned when Flash managed to turn the game around with key drops, brilliant micro at the end. Third game as we know was pretty strongly in Dong's favor before the power was pulled. Last game, as we know was a wash.
2 rapes, 1 late game loss, and a pretty decisive victory is domination to me. Flash never had a foothold in this series.
