His MSL run was anything but unimpressive. At the time, ZvZ was Calm's worst Match-up. He went in beating Effort and Jaedong, two of the hottest players at the moment in a Bo5 that no one predicted. During his entire run he never faced an elimination risk. His ZvZs were exciting and innovative and proved brains > mechanics (thus his nickname)

it was his coach which complained. Obviously they were cutting corners. so their coach was from the pompom club and doesnt know that much about starcraft. Either way... onesided games in flash vs mvp, mistake-ridden games in great vs clam. *sigh*

She was in the same clan as Reach and ClouD.

This issue should've been no brainer. -Coach January appealed to KeSPA ref, requesting to know whether they're using the correct version of the map. KeSPA checked and was correct. -This issue was already known to all the progamers. (If Great attended BO5 not thoroughly practiced in that map, he deserved to lose. Period.) -Great did not appeal, did not request to pause the game. He just played through. Only AFTER he loses after going all-in attacks twice. (Jaedong didn't complain when his lurker got trapped and there's no way he could've known that could happen, even by practicing that map over and over) Took like 40 minutes to decide, how incompetent can you get? I mean... STUPID STUPIDDD STUPIDDDDDDDDDDD ref.

Did you see january's reaction? she was raging hardcore at the ref for a long while (while that other guy was trying to cheer great up by rubbing his legs o_0). During the break, the refs checked the replay several times and then replicated the situation (what great did vs how it should have been done) and concluded that it was indeed great's mistake in micro.

Something can be impressive without being captivating.

Sounds like it was his mistake, but holy shit games 2 and 3 were so entertaining, much rather see that kind of ZvZ against Jaedong. (Then again, Calm brought it vs Jaedong last time, so... ESPORTS)

His mechanics aren't the most top notch but he is always amazingly good on the thought side of things that it makes me a huge fan. There's a reason why Calm vs. Fantasy is always so hilarious. Even when he's swarmed in ZvZ I still like his play. He's also sexy. I am extremely glad he advanced here. In my opinion he's completely justified semi-final and final material.
