I love Flash, but LOL @ him for losing OSL game 5 with 14CC and missing Golden Mouse.
I was predicting something like 3-1 win for Flash.

IMO Flash should go to the SKT house and ask Boxer for some ideas on how to beat Jaedong in a Bo5.

He really lost it when he decided to stop scv production and went for all-in 1 base play (the kind Boxer liked to do in the old days), which Effort countered perfectly. Flash would still have won against almost any zerg if he switched to defensive play after the failed vult drop. But obviously he didn't feel that confident against Effort.
So.. you're not behind after you BBS to no good effect and then vulture drop to no good effect? When are you behind?

But that would be boring, so instead we do it like in Wrestling. We kinda decide before the game, that you start of like this, I try a lingrunby but you block amazing and then counter with bla bla bla and I end the game with a 2 shuttle drop with tanks and you GG when I take out the Hatchery.
The point to this horrible post of course is that if the best player on paper always won the game, nobody would like watching any sport at all.
You have to play for it, and your never better then your last game....case closed! No. What you are saying makes no sense at all. Suppose Flash makes a couple mistakes and Effort plays amazing starcraft (think of their proleague match) and wins the series. That would have been fine. The way Effort won Game 3 was fine and had the rest of the games gone like that I wouldn't be complaining. Seriously, this isn't that hard: If all you want is for the player you're rooting for to win, then you might like this series. If you want to see the best StarCraft you can, this wasn't it at all. So what you are saying is that this was bad because the games were not the best starcraft you had seen? Try to understand this. The point is not who the best player is before the game. The point is not that the best player on the paper should always win the game. That would ruin the fun of the game. The point is not that the game always need to be so well played without any misstakes etc. The fun thing is that this is a OSL final, nervs and adrenalin kicks in so much and the fact that the lesser skilled player can win is what makes it so much fun. Flash made misstakes and did not play on top off his game, effort took great decisions, played amazing, had good micro and also great respons to what Flash did when he scouted it. Effort won and he deserved it all the way. Flash fanboys can whine all they want about flash being the better player anyway. Of course Flash is still the better player. But in this bo5 final, effort was simply the better one of the two. Effort fanboys are retarded. Quoting this as proof. Quite obvious that Flash did not play his best. But if you remember savior was similarly considered unbeatable and people dont bitch now that he is not playing his top. I hope its not slump, too early yet

You know, it's really funny because aside from the reliance on zerglings, none of those wins were very EffOrt-esque at all. EffOrt's management is his strongest skill, and among the top three in the game at least. But in the finals and semi-finals, EffOrt showed that he can totally switch his style to great effect. One of the reasons Flash went 14cc on MP was likely because of EffOrt's propensity to prefer long management/multitask games.

I really don't know why people are still arguing here (well maybe I do, it was one of the very few times Flash has failed in 8 months). I love how Flash played, he made mistakes but he varied his play, 2 14 CC 1 standard 1 mech 1 7 rax thats a lot of varying there.
Effort won, end of story. Flash was not up to his normal but I can understand why. The only reason it is so surprising is because of how good he's been the last 8 months. Game 3 Effort picked a good strat and won because he caught Flash's mnm force out of position. No doubt Flash could've held that if he were fighting in his base but Effort caught him. Game 4 Effort scouted properly and found Flash's cheese. Flash then decided to do what he normally doesn't do, he normally doesn't go all-in. It was a gamble that didn't pay off. Good try Flash, great defense Effort. Game 5 was like Game 4 of the last OSL except Flash was playing the position of Movie. Flash would have been impossible to beat had he held and Effort knew it, Effort went all in and won himself a gold.
Games 4-5 were balanced on a knife edge and Flash lost, Flash undisputedly lost an important series for the first time since October. I'm not worried, Flash is too talented of a player to fall into obscurity. I think anyone who counts him (or JD for that matter) out of the MSL is crazy. Flash showed a lot of different styles to Jaedong, JD has to prepare for all of it. Conversely JD has won 1 major tourny for the past 4 seasons and is at 5 titles total. It should be a good match no matter how you slice it.

I can definitely see why someone who is neutral wouldn't enjoy it (5 one-sided games) and why a Flash fan would hate it.

And the funny thing is that I am so far away from a effort fanboy you can come.
If anything I am a Stork fanboy but I dont care that much for any specific player. I just enjoy watching some starcraft now and then.
But I find it fun to see how some people in here react to Flash losing and just cant stay away from commenting on it :-)
