Mirror builds > Elimination race. Not a particularly skillful game, but tense and a cool micro battle at the end. Can't exactly recommend it, but maybe watch the last minute of it
This group should be very exciting, with all 4 players pegged as 'up and coming' stars on their respective teams. It just seems like one of those groups where you'll see extremely high quality games despite none of the players being S-class.
This is a really tough group to call. Movie and Violet have shown the most skill over time, but Action can play amazing games when he wants to, and Bogus is a solid player.
I'll say Violet advances over Movie, and then Movie beats Bogus for the second spot.
The 2 players that I like in the group is Action and Movie, I want them to do well. With Violet winning over Action and then Action winning over Bogus (I want to see that sex lategame of Action!) and Violet in the final game.

Yes
I see Bogus and Movie advancing. Will you be making the other group LR threads?
I'll most likely be making the LR for group 2 anyway, not sure about the other future groups. I have the next 2 days off work so I'm fine with staying up and watching/streaming these
Ever since I saw Artosis Interview where the manager (Hawani(I think?¿?)) of CJ talking about Action playing sc for 18 hours+ a day, I haven't stopped rooting for action. Why stop now W00pw00p g0000000000000000000000000000000 AcTiOn!@#$%^%&&^^!
Not a fan of "recommended games" in white text, has it always been like that?
Anyway this is the best group of the MST, great games and great name puns (I see someone is already on the ball here :D) await! Cheering for Violet #1, Bogus #2
Movie goes gate first, but quickly expands after seeing Bogus's one-rax-cc. Bogus defends nicely against the scouting probe and an initial zealot, and takes his expo comfortably. Movie adds three gates, and expands to the bottom left main, while Bogus gets siege and a two more factories.
Bogus pushes across the map with a large army, wins, and kills the nat.
Constant mutalisk harass on the main to prevent armies from moving too far out; Violet chooses to counter-attack but the Zerg simcity and Zergling reinforcement is too good.

I was hoping in the loser's game
Well I am fine with anything! As long as I can see Action use Defilers versus Terran (or against Zergs, I think we are all fine seeing Defilers in ZvZ ) I am more than happy!

Bogus is the gnome equivalent to fOrGG. Expect a timing attack.

seriously how does a progamer who practices an incredible 16 hours a day die to lings like this
Seriously. He didn't even bother to scout or make any sort of wall.
What made Flash's MSL play so effective was that he always scouted and walled in addition to the 14cc, so that it would be safe.
What Bogus just did is what lost Flash the OSL.
Doing what flash did is still hardly safe. While it is safer than doing 14cc blind, his barracks would of been so delayed he probably wouldn't of been able to defend a 9pool anyway, or at the very least he would've taken significant loses.

Yeah, I shouldn't have said "safe," but it regardless wouldn't have been autoloss. Except for matchpoint, he would have been able to get up a ling-tight wall at his natural.
I suppose he didn't have enough minerals for pylon OR gas then? I mean... that mistake was so noob if he actually had minerals I can't imagine a pro player making it.
If Violet fought with his 5 goons and his probes, Movie's first poke wouldn't have even hurt that much. How did he make such an easy scenario and take it up 3 notches in difficulty? -_-;;
And how are people saying that was Movie's game? Mirror builds but Violet gets to do all the damage first... -_-;; Crackheads.
Replay shows that Movie had +100 minerals, but spent it all on dragoons out of two gates, leaving him with 47 minerals. One dragoon popped out of the gateway right next to Violet's army, and instantly died.
Terrible. Movie, you're depressing me so much lately.

this IS violet we're talking about. 12nexus is his standard opening.

By bashing scrubs or people who have ridiculously bad nerves. The minute he met a rock solid opponent, that is Flash, he got destroyed even with build order advantages and map advantages on his side.
He's not as bad as people say he is but definitely not the next best thing like a lot of people were saying.
