- Everyone enters, and gets divided into 3 groups randomly - Flash picks the order in which the seeded players draw one player from each group
Some stuff that'll be going on
- A video of a fake simulation the seeders did (or something like that) - Q&A with each players, where you can ask questions via Twitter - Using a smart phone application to find celebrities that look like the players - Quiz Mission featuring Flash and the Viewers
This should be pretty entertaining, pity that the time clashes with a certain other large tournament of a certain other Blizzard game which I am probably better off not mentioning by name in this thread =/
I shall be watching to see which sacrificial lambs/Zergs get thrown to the Ultimate Weapon and which ones get thrown to the Tyrant.
it's so weird not having bisu/zero/soulkey/leta/light/best in the OSL BUT having modesy/shine/hogil/hydra and hyuk(2ND APPEARANCE BTW)/paralyze. :\ if any of those players make it out of their group i will be VERY surprised.
Flash will be nice to Jaedong, which is sad even though I like both. Imagine something like this in the era of ruthless dominators like iloveoov and sAviOr :D
Will anyone stream this? Maybe someone who knows Korean can translate in the stream? That would be awesome, even if not everything gets translated. I could always speed-learn Korean, but I think I'm a bit short on time.

I think they're giving out an ipad for the OSL best ceremony. Hiya really wanted the galaxytab (MSL) but he got knocked out of MST so he's going all-in for OSL. lol

Even though Stork is good at pvt, I dont like him having Sea in his group. Part because Sea is a good player, and also because I like to see Sea advance but not on Storks account.

HYUK STYLE! flash has a pretty easy group. We all know how hyuk does vs flash, afrotoss's pvt looked pretty bad vs midas, and flash definetly has the edge over kal.

This means that free's group is picked as well.
Group A: Flash, Kal, Paralyze, Hyuk Group B: JD, Hiya, Calm, Hogil. Group C: Stork, Mind, Sea and Shine. Group D: free, Hydra, Fantasy, Modesty
Boring Groups imo.
A. Flash and Kal are a deadlock to Ro8, B: JD and probably Calm C: Stork and Sea D: Fantasy and Free
I don't think its boring at all. Paralyze has a hard group if he wants to be a royal roader. JD vs Hiya should be entertaining after their little drama just now. Never underestimate shine's upset powers. And in group D... well yeah :/
I think Stork will beat Mind with no problem. The game vs Sea will be the decider for Stork, because I can see him fail like Bisu did vs Shine and so if he do not beat Sea, it can be epic fail yet again.
i preferred the old system. Was heaps more fun when they were bargaining with each other for their trades and stuff. sure it was confusing, but this was just meh, they should've just does a randomly generated draw and scratched the whole ceremony

Wow, so after Flash picked Kal we were a coinflip away from having Flash, Kal and Fantasy in the same group...I think all parties involved are glad that Fantasy's name didn't get drawn then.

Would've definitely been a shame to see one of them drop out so early.
Do not doubt Paralyze! So what if he's in a group with Flash/Kal? Paralyze is the AFROTOSS! The power of the AFRO >>>>> all. He even piqued the curiosity of JAEDONG with the power of his afro. Jaedong wanted to touch that afro to gain the same powers Paralyze can! Clearly, he will steamroll his group 3-0 and go on a dream run for the ages.
...As for Mind...damnit. In a group with Stork and Sea, plus Shine, the x-factor? Gah. He's in a group with three solid guys. Probably not going to get out. Kind of conflicted though with Stork/Shine/Mind (sorry Sea. ). Blergh.
I think ppl are a bit hard on stork. I'm confident he can handle the two T. Ok Sea is good, but i still think is TvP isn't quite as good as Stork's PvT. And though Shine won against Bisu, there's no telling on how it's going to be vs Stork. I know he can do it
Stork setting up for some revenge on Shine! Hoping for Stork and Sea to make it out of the group... Stork should have no problem with his dinosaur power PvT but Sea...

Uhh, I don't see why Sea has anything to worry about. Mind is terrible and Shine is terrible against Terran. And Sea's TvP is fucking good, so even Sea vs. Stork could go either way (although Stork is the favorite). Of course, that's provided that the Ro16 curse is really gone after last season.

STX can't catch a break ._.
At least this means if they all make it through they won't see each other for a while xP
HEY STX CAN'T CATCH A BREAK? What about Hwaseung who has to TK each other and same w/ SKT1 and WeMade Fox =_=... normally I would feel pity for STX (mostly Kal) but he's not in Jaedong's group again lolol).

Flash - Kal? JD - Calm? Stork - Shine?
seems like everybody is resigned to their fates
Flash - Kal isn't really a bad outcome, they have very good games together and are friends. Both should make it out of that group easily enough. Now if Kal ended up in JD's group, it would have been as depressing as usual.
Would be funny if both Shine and Mind make it out of their group after Stork was saying he was happy about the teamkill scenario.
Group A: Looking good for Flash. Kal is solid], but we all saw what Flash did to him in the WCG finals, and i'd take Flash over Paralyze or Hyuk any day. Second advancer is harder to predict. Hyuk's one good matchup is vP, so he can't feel too bad about this group. Likewise, Paralyze is still a bit of an enigma, so he might be able to do well. Still, smart money's on Flash and Kal to advance.
Group B: Jaedong's probably not looking forward to facing his teammate, but with two zergs in the pool he can't be too upset about the group. Likewise, HoGiL advancing this far is a fluke, and i give him no odds of moving on. Calm and HiyA are in competition for the second spot, and while Calm's vT is nothing to write home about, i have to favor him to advance.
Group C: Shine's excellent vZ isn't going to help him at all here, and mind isn't exactly impressive. Stork and Sea seems the clear favorites to advance, although who will advance top seed is harder to guess. Still, if Sea chokes like he tends to in individual leagues, we might see a mediocre player make it to the Ro8, which is always entertaining.
Group D: Neither of the zerg's are that great vP, so free's looking good. Him and Fantasy are the obvious favorites, but Hydra's been showing decent vT of late. Slight potential for an upset here, but on the whole free and Fantasy look like the safest bets.
On a side note, I'm rooting for a Flash v Stork series before this is over.
Shine in Stork's group. What a time for Protoss. All of them are going to have a hard time getting to semis. Legend of the fall just didn't happen this year.
Flash is in danger. the map of the First Game is AZTEC which is very difficult to T, and Kal is really good althought he have not beat Flash, but from the course of the match , we know he can beat Flash if he do a little better. map of second game is pathfinder which is a strange map,and Paralyze's strength is unpredictable. map of the third game is icarus, also is very difficult to T, and Hyuk have enough experience.

I think only two things could stop a Jaedong/Flash final: either they start in the same half of the bracket, or fantasy and oov create some amazing strategy, and fantasy plays at his top ability.
I didn't realise that stork has a winning record against jaedong and flash, and that free has a wining record against jaedong. Even so, I can't see either of them winning a five game series. I'm rooting for paralyze to walk the royal road. Go fro!
edit: ^^ two people from each group make it, so free would also have to lose to hydra or modesty
Would anyone be interested in adding english subtitles to this on YouTube? It's about an hour and 50 minutes long so it won't be easy but a few people have requested it.
Group A: Flash will 3-0 this group easily. It's now up to the rookie Paralyze (cue nukethestar's paralyze theme music) and Kal to battle their way out. Flash and Paralyze
Group B: Jaedong will stomp his way to yet another Ro. 8. Hiya and Calm will battle it out over the 2nd spot. Jaedong and Hiya
Group C: Personally my favorite death group. I predict Stork will goof his way to yet another Ro. 8... But wait! Stork picked... SHINE??? An unusual pick, considering that Stork has a bitter rivalry with Shine (knocked out of the Ro.8 by that loser). Maybe revenge time??? Sea will also battle it out with the other two and make it through. Stork and Sea
Group D: Free, with his amazing PvZ, will stomp all over the rookie zergs in this group, while Fantasy does his epic fail of a "Fantasy Build" and somehow prevail! Free and Fantasy

Groups were decided via lottery format rather than selection process as opposed to previous years.

If people are interested, I could write rough translations of the lottery. Not the entire thing, since finals are in less than two weeks, but just enough to get a general gist of things. Is anyone else working on this? Because I'm not the most qualified person for this.
I did a rough one of Hiya as an example.
These are not literal translations, and I omitted some of the questions and just merged some of the answers. It's just enough for those who don't know Korean to get what happened.
Hiya: I had a different ceremony prepared but it wasn't appropriate for the situation(most likely referring to the yeonpyeongdo incident) so I came up with another one during the soccer match. I wanted to do something for the fans so I gave (a fan) flowers, and I think it went pretty well. For my fans, I think I could do any ceremony.
Q: Last time, you said you'd do the ceremony that the fans wanted if you won, and you gave the fan(whose idea was chosen) chicken(like, a whole baked chicken)..
Hiya: Yeah, that changed this year. (Lol comments about how it's not actually "this year" but from "this winter") This time, if the fans post ceremonies I'm still sending them food such as pizza or chicken, but this time, if the fan is in Seoul, I'm going to deliver it myself. I've even already gotten the camera director to join my plans(to take pictures of the event as proof).
Q: So if the fan's in Seoul you're going to actually go to their house and ring the bell and say Hello, ...
Hiya: And then I'll pull out my trap card(lol). Last time, the fan who got the chicken posted pictures online which moved me, so I decided that this time, I'll take the pictures and post about it on my fan cafe.
Q: Last time, you had the will, but you could only do it once because you won once and lost twice..
Hiya: Ah...(poor Hiya)
Q: How much did it cost last time?
Hiya: The chicken only cost 15,000won.(around 11..12?USD? No idea, somewhere around that amount)
Q: So how much do you plan to spend this time? It better be large!
Hiya: Oh, the cost of the chicken? If I win, I guess I'll buy the fan an unlimited amount.
and blah blah blah
Afrotoss is next, but I have to get ready for school.

Might see more ceremonies this time... his group looks fairly tame minus Jaedong.
