Hi all. I have the honor to invite you to tournament of Starcraft Brood War that will take place in the most beautiful Polish city - Kraków ( http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Krakow ) on December 11, 2012. The tournament will be part of the "BEST AUTOMATICS & IT FESTIVAL. "
Festival is organized by the Association of Students BEST AGH Krakow and sponsored by Comarch, Ericpol and ING Bank. On event will be also tournaments of DotA 2, LoL, Quake Live and the "Robotics Tournament".
Starcraft Brood War tournament winners will be able to boast of the following prizes: 1st place: 550PLN in prizes, not money ($ 165 +) 2nd place: 300PLN in prizes, not money($ 90 +) 3rd place: 150PLN in prizes, not money ($ 45 +)
System: - group stage + duble eliminations. - winner bracket best of 3 and losser bracket best of 1. - final bo5 (player from winner bracket starts with 1:0 score) - starting map for every stage will be announced by org.

The funny thing is that u need to be 18+ cause of possibility to buy alcohol in da club.

Remember to take this document with you, you'll need this at the entrance to the tournament. Click "Prześlij" Registration is finished.
Each player must pay an entrance fee of 20PLN (around 5e / 8$). (cost of t-shirt, water, energy drink, donut :D) (because foreigners cant pay in advance, there may be problems with the t-shirts [if any come])

He's not as good as you might think. Even though he got A+, it's kind of deceptive in regards to his actual skill level, since there were a lot of point-tournaments. Even still, he's about B+ or A- level, which would put him on par with, say, Pike, Mazur, or Southpark.

Over that prize pool, it's not likely. Don't get me wrong, it's a great step for Brood War, but I mean it's not competitive to any other eSport, which makes it kind of irrelevant to Blizzard.

I agree. I mean although Blizzard did cause trouble to SSL 7 they did extend their support for the future.
Blizzard isn't AS bad as people make them out to be
If any foreigner consider coming to Krakow just let me know. I'm taking day off work so I will be able to help with finding cheap accommodation. Bringing own computer is also not necessary. There will be many enough computers brought by local players. Sign up deadline is 26 Nov. Entrance fee (~5 EUR) payment deadline is 28 Nov.
