Hello everyone,
Due to the upcoming CIG AI tournament, I thought it would be a good idea to have a (mini) tournament on (or near) 11 July 2015 so that bot developers can test their bot against other bots and human players in a tournament setting.
To encourage participation, I have 50 euros available for prize money. I was thinking about something like a Defiler Mini tournament where both bots and human players can sign up. However, hosting such a tournament on ICCUP would require special permission because the BWAPI bots cannot play with anti-hack on (see: http://iccup.com/en/starcraft/sc_tour_rules.html ).
So I have the following questions regarding this idea:
- Is it possible to host a tournament on ICCUP where bots are given an exception to the AH rule (for the duration of the tournament)? edit: Got approval of ICCUP.face - Is it allowed to use the Defiler.ru system for tournaments involving BWAPI bots? - Is someone willing to help organize such a (mini) tournament?

Antihack rule is only applied for their tournaments and ladder points distributions. You are free to use iccup for free tournaments as well as whether or not you choose to use their antihack, but with a prize pool you must contact iccup.face so that it can be approved.

hey man!
That sounds like a great idea. As pointed out playing with AH off is not a problem per se, but the best course of action regarding this idea would be to contact ICCup.Face about this. Please note, that the ICCup staff doesn't generally answer Questions or takes requests in third person forums. so feel free to write a thread here or better contact Face on skype, his id is "ICCup.Face"

I contacted iccup.face and got approval for the Tournament. Going to message yoda now to see if the Defiler.ru system can be used for this tournament.
