Killer looks pretty solid in his practice sessions with Mong (on Mong's private stream) today. Should put up a good fight even against best TvZ player Mind
Intersting facts: Killer is 4-10 against Mind, while both players are #6 and #7 in ELO rankings respectively. Killer has a 55.94% winrate against terran while Mind sports a 77.50% winrate against zergs (even though Kwanro and Hero contribute the most to that)
Most of Killer's statistics are from the beginning of this year and before (especially in 2013/2014 where he dominates with Sea)...this year he has not been playing /streaming regularly unlike the other players. So comparing statistics is pretty moot.

"Zergs are a joke to Mind"
LOL
I say #notenoughpassion! haha.
I got the #PASSHUN, but you can't argue what I said either.

Killer's getting humped pretty bad this series. I think his mindset is bad and yah you can acknowledge that ZvT is your worst matchup but I feel like that's synonymous with feeling like it's bad so you end up playing bad. Jaedong, Killer's mentor wouldn't think like this. Avoiding Terran for a tournament run isn't realistic.

can't really blame killer when he has not practice/play regularly (thanks to IRL stuff) compared to his opponent

killer's multitask is non-existant tho.
It was weird because Mind was losing because he just had his units sitting out in the open and he wasn't really microing them, so then he moved them behind buildings and continued not really microing them but it didn't occur to Killer that he should maybe drop or do anything other than a-moving his units up ramps
And you definitely need to be active with vultures to survive the part of mech before you have 40 tanks.
Sick hold from Mind. Killer should have secured his expos with sunkens and then taken the middle bases. Killer let Mind regain the bottom center base and suicided his units to try and finish the game instead of securing his lead.
Horrible game by Killer. My god... why would you keep attacking up ramps when you realize that you zerglings are dying so easily? If he grouped and hit Mind's 5 and 6, he could've denied mining and Mind would've went down to 1-2 bases max. No swarms, terrible engagements and worst way to throw units since forever?

the "stats" button in the LB pages link to their old Kespa statistics, not to the SOSPA one. so they would see Mind's average 50% winrate instead
I did not expect the 3-0 result today, but I was fortunate to score the victory. Would have preferred to meet Bisu in the finals, but I'll be preparing hard. The map selection is not in Terran's favor, it will be a challenge, especially if we see Heartbreak Ridge 2 of the 5 sets. Glad to see so many people coming out to watch, big thanks for everyone's support. Playing Bisu in the SF under the bright lights and on the big stage will be lots of fun and excitement. I hope to maintain the momentum I've built from these earlier rounds.

And yet he got to the Ro8.
Against arguably weak competition. :D
I think its that but I also think its the lack of coaches too. killer wont even know he didnt upgrade crack going home today. on top of that there's no one there to help them strategize.
Killer's micro and macro are still decent overall though. Watch his last games or just read the recap/see gif in the last SSL11 writeup. I think in that last game, he started to focus heavily on macro which was why you kept seeing a ton of zerg units streaming towards Mind's bases for a good 5 minutes or so. He probably figured that Mind wouldn't be able to defend considering he already had to lift his base at 8, had to abandon his natural and move everything into the mains of each base and that he'll break his soon which it looked like it at one point.
In hindsight, it looked like it was a decent move, but, Mind didn't sit back and take it. He killed all the drones at two of Killer's bases and mined a lot of the area that the zerglings are coming through allowing him to defend against their numbers. So, while I think Killer played a terrible game when he started doing that, I can understand why he made such a move. As for upgrading crack, we've seen pros make these kind of mistakes back in the professional BW days. Ex. Stork forgetting goon range.
thanks but you're talking too quickly and softly compared to BisuDagger and it's so hard to listen to you.ch
edit: in game 2 your volume was louder and it's better
You just need to get used XKCD's sexy accent! 1st time I heard it I said myself: "WTF, why is he even casting with that grumbling voice", but I really love it now.

there's no way to rationalise this. killer fumbled big time and did so many stupid things late game in g3.. and in the entire series actually. (no scourge in g2)

once the volume was raised in g2 onwards I understood him fine

no, I disagree. His behaviour in game is very easy to rationalize if you look at the position he was in. Re-read my post above to see my point. If you still disagree, well, it's your call so let's agree to disagree then.
If you think about it, Mind's proxy rax was genius on HBR. From the previous Killer game, he saw that Killer had insane 2 hatch muta pressure vs Last on that map. With the proxy rax and Mind threatening wraiths and mech, Killer was forced to go into hydra tech.

except killer scouted all the rax with scourges, he shouldve stopped making mass hydras vs bio.
Just watching the VoD's. Game 2 started out great. But then Killer messed up and didn't expand. I don't understand why he didn't expand when he cleaned up Mind's first big push. Mind had nothing to prevent it.
Killer in Game 3:
"I finally understand why people are saying you need to get swarm in ZvT. I just swarm the terran all day, this is awesome."
