eonzerg you say eddy is a map you would not like to repeat. I dont know what you mean by 'repeat'. But I will assume you mean it is a map you would not like to play. Thats fine, but do you like Neo Jade more? Do you like Neo Moon Glaive more? If so can you explain why please.

It means played it, i didnt like it at all Jade is a map that fits my style of play and give u many options,it also helps afreeca progamers are playing on it and giving fresh info, about moon cant really tell much,im always for new maps and im not someone that bitch every map i can,im telling u what i think after play eddy.
Thanks for the clarification. It is confusing to me that a person can find neo jade fits their style of play and gives many options while at the same time Eddy doesnt. Because I think Eddy plays similarly to jade and I think Eddy gives more options lol.

The island expansion changes much. That, and the mineral only, make it so that Protoss and Terran don't have to take a new set of main and natural bases as early, but instead become able to secure four bases and a mineral only within 25% of the maps surface.
PvZ on Neo Jade basically comes down to whether or not Protoss can take and hold a new spawning locations bases. If he can, he wins. If he can't, he loses. Eddy has some of that. If the game goes on long enough, Protoss will have to take a new main, but it's much more fluid, less binary, and Protoss can play from only his natural expansions for much longer.
I have played a bit of PvZ on Eddy against Naugrim, who is a decent player. The games were interesting. I made use of the island expansion in many of them. I support introducing more complex maps that add more options, and unique problems for players to solve. Maps are a large part of StarCraft. Figuring out styles against the various races on different maps is fun. Eddy is one such complex map. There's a lot to it. Many ways to attempt to solve the problem. A lot of diversity in viable styles- I enjoy minimalistic maps like Jade, too, but Eddy simply has more than Jade has.
We don't need to play on one kind of map only. The races are well rounded enough to allow for some map diversity without sacrificing balance. There are limits, but Eddy is well within those limits while still being significantly different.
I'm sorry that I didn't alert an admin. I had to rush away, and thought that I had only signed up - not checked in. I sincerely apologize and will try to not do this again (if a similar situation occurs).
Thank you for organizing these events. You deserve better behaviour than mine.

As the guy who made Eddy, I gotta say: it's intended to be no way like Jade. It has the same tileset, which merely is a pragmatic and aesthetic decision based on the layout I had in mind, but otherwise utterly meaningless It is a "reverse" map (i.e. low main, high nat), nut by that standard Aztec and Outlier are just like Jade too! It has reduced geysers at the close thirds, but for totally different reasons.
For maps that do not heavily depend on special mechanics, half of what they are is their expansion layout, and in that regard Eddy is a lot more in the vein of Andromeda or Empire of the Sun. Jade is actually a low-resource map, whereas the others are resource-heavy macro maps.
Of my own maps (or any new map options in general), Eddy would actually not among my top choices to promote. Not because I'd consider it bad, but because I consider it mostly boring and hasn't really anything new to offer that other maps could not do as well (i.e. it's all about eye-candy). Now variety, even in the pool of fairly standard maps, is a good thing, but there's also just so many new maps one can expect players to be bothered with at a time. And at the current point in time, I honestly think that there are some actual gaping gaps in the current map pool that have been there for a long time and should be filled first. The three-player map pool, for example, is in many ways limited...

the answer is yes, we can forgive Sayle for not being here today. I hope he feels better and that headache goes away. Im sure 1 uncasted cup for now won't kill us and besides Reps will come out and we should step up and get it going as well as a community.
Man up nerds. On my way back to home some pussy threw an egg from a car towards me while i was listening to music. Don't reach his manliness level please, because he didn't even dare to show himself after my usain bolt sprint.
