BWAPI mini Tour 5
http://defiler.ru/tourney/?t=437
ICCUP Channel name for this tournament is: BWAPI
Tour starts 5 December on 10:35 CET. Register and check in on defiler.ru before this time
Map selection is based on the defiler.ru system, but players can choose any map from the SSCAI map pool if they both agree
Hello everyone,
With the deadline of the SSCAI approaching, I am organizing another BWAPI mini tour to allow the bot developers to test out their bots in a tournament setting. As always, bots and human players from all ranks are allowed to participate.
Tournament information:
In this tournament, both human players and bots are allowed to sign on. You are allowed to pick random, and you are allowed to race pick in this tour.
The format is:
- Bo3 winners bracket
- Bo1 losers bracket
- Bo3 grand finals (1 point winner bracket advantage).
The tournament will be held at 5 December 2015. Checking in is possible till 10:30 CET. The tournament starts at 10:35 CET.
Because some bot developers cannot be available at that time, I am going to operate a maximum of three bots alongside my own bot. This service is first come, first served for all bot developers.
Map pool
Map pool is going to be a selection from all maps from the SSCAI tournament, which can be found here. The map selection is done with the "FirstByRound" option from defiler.ru .
Registering:
Human players: sign up on defiler.ru.
Bots: sign up on defiler.ru if you want to operate your own bot.
Otherwise send your DLL or Java to me and I will register you there automatically.
Prize money:
1st place: 10.65 euro paysafe card
2nd place: 10.00 euro paysafe card
Keep in mind that a paysafe card isn't accepted everywhere. You can ofc gift your paysafe card to someone who can use it. Or I can use a paysafe to paypal service (takes a cut though).
Livestream/casting
Everyone is allowed to cast the replays on defiler.ru . If you want to livecast the tour, contact me for the replays.
Other information:
- Everyone is allowed to use the observer version of a map, but I would advise bot operators to only play FFA or melee, because some UMS map triggers can crash a bot.
- Bot developers are allowed to let someone other than their-self or me operate their bot. Bot developers are eligible for prize money even if they are not operating their own bot.
- Bot operator should not use Anti-hack as it conflicts with the BWAPI. Human players should have AH on the whole tournament, unless they are playing against a bot. Against a bot they can turn AH off and use LatencyChanger for LAN latency.
- BWAPI bots should have the "complete map information" flag set to disabled (by default it is). They are allowed to put the "user input" flag to true for chat purposes only.
- In order to speed up the tournament: In case you are up against a bot that I operate, but you can't play yet because I am operating another bot at the time, you are allowed to play ahead against the opponent that you will face if you would win against the bot you are up against.
