Kim Carry will be casting an 8-player, invitation-only league that starts play on April 16th. The league was sponsored by a Kim Carry super-fan who wanted to see this particular format and these particular players. The league will last over 5 weeks.
You can catch the event live on Kim Carry's AfreecaTV stream (link).
As part of the agreement with that fan, Kim Carry will be uploading videos of the broadcasts to his YouTube channel (link). It would help him out if you subscribed to his channel and it costs nothing to do so! Apparently, the Carry fan wanted YouTube because he often cannot catch the live broadcasts.
With the KCM Legend Matches on Thursdays and Kim Carry's Starcraft Myeongin League on the weekends, it seems that we will get a steady stream of Starcraft over the next month.
UPDATE: Last has secured a place in the finals. We will not have a mirror match up in the finals! As for the rest, I think everyone except the two Terrans has a chance for 2nd place.

Sweet, although I must say the uploads on his channel has pretty much stopped, I was looking forward to a lot of his broadcasts to end up on youtube.
maybe even have a stream on youtube? would certainly make our lives a lot easier than watching on afreeca.
Will work on a LP page for this before the league starts
Out of curiosity, did Kim Carry/sponsor consider a 9-player league, to balance the races out with three players each (e.g. inviting EffOrt)? Per a quick calculation, seems it'd only be 36 matches in the round robin, or 8 more than presently scheduled (9! / (7! * 2!) vs 8! / (6! * 2!)). But also ~₩240,000 more...

Oh, yeah. I didn't say they were the same but I said it was like the one nazis used. Still, I'd have avoided that symbol as a map maker so there is no comparison.

What is so weird about swastika?
Probably because of Hilter using it as a symbol while he committed mass atrocities? Having said that, the symbol has another meaning and goes far back, way before his time. It's just what first comes to mind when the symbol is shown.
As a map, sniper ridge is pretty fun to play on because you are constantly fighting over high ground but also means that if you are able to contain your opponent early on, it'll be easier to win partially due to that. Glad they decided to have it in the map pool.

It's a symboli of happiness. It's been widely used by other than nazis. I dont know why people get so offended unless its a swastika in a white circle on a red background. Those horrors happened quite some time ago anyways...
Adding a results crosstable to the top post and will try to add the Round Robin matches to the Calendar -- looks like a bit of a TL bug as all events appear as "Team Heralds Invitational"

Yeah, there's a bug; can't add new leagues. Have to use one of the existing ones ^^
They both missed half of Zerg's main being destroyed by a zealot back door just now. I actually have no clue who is playing but kim plus that other guy really seem to be having a good time. Wish I spoke Korean, but this is all I know: T_T

Ok thanks. Zero's control has not been his best in this game I hope he manages to win, looks kind of bad tho. Mind has taken his 4th already, but he has mined his main and nat.
Poor Zero. I think he would have won game 2 if had flanked the army just once instead of taking it head on.

He lost a lot of drones to an early push so he was behind all game long.
Okay, so apparently Kim Carry was supposed to get in contact with Sonic to hear his side of the story and whatever's been going on. But he just said that that contact will be postponed until tomorrow's cast. So we'll see what happens.

so this is like "after talk"
Seems like it.
It's going to be interesting to see what he has to say. A lot of us defended Sonic when he came out and said that SSL12 had to be postponed, before the revelations. As far as I know, we haven't heard from Sonic since the whole thing broke wide open (I get pretty much all of my BW news from TL, and I don't think there's been anything here). Judging by what was said, I don't think even Kim has talked to him, because he mentioned that he also wanted to hear what Sonic had to say. Regardless, given Sonic's integral role in the post-KeSPA scene, his relationship with the players, Kim Carry's own role in SBENU and relationship with Sonic, etc., hopefully there are some revealing things said.

I'm interested as long as we have translation for it.
for some reason Sharp could not show so Mind vs Last will be played today and I assume last vs sharp will happen when Mind vs Last was supposed to happen.

On another note: anyone else finding the stream very laggy?
it has been a little jumpy for a few moments, but not really laggy.
btw you call him alphago is that one of his ladder alts or has the korean community been calling him that.
It too bad this league has been so haphazardly held. Been trying to check out Kim Carry's Afreeca board daily, but nary an update, so I guess it's just whoever's available to play
Anyhow, will get these week's matched logged into TLPD
On May 02 2016 17:43 feckless wrote: Well hasn't this been the first week where there's been schedule changes?
It's not quite just the time changing, but the player match-ups. For example, it makes Blind-rawr's LR threads much tougher without being able to plan who is playing that day. Then there's the Calendar in the right sidebar and audiences deciding whether they're going to schedule their time around watching a certain pairing...
this is already a month underway, flash only decided to start competing this week, so while he is not playing in this, it doesn't mean that it was only the showmatch.
assuming shuttle-mind game was postponed and not forfeited Last is already guaranteed for the finals with his 5-1 record...
BeSt's current group record: 3-3 Shuttle's current group record: 2-3 (with 2 match to play) hero's current group record: 4-2 ZerO's current group record: 4-2
BeSt's current win rate: 7-8 (46.7%) Shuttle's current win rate: 7-8 (46.7%) hero's current win rate: 10-6 (62.5%) ZerO's current winrate: 9-6 (60.0%)
**heck, Leicester winning the EPL has a higher chance to happen than shittle getting 4-3 so I will just cancel him now :-)**
**BeSt is already eliminated! :-( even if BeSt wins 2-0, his winrate of 9-8(52.9%) will never be higher than the zergs, irregardless of their results**
**if one of the zergs win his game and the other zerg lose, the zerg winner will go through to the finals irregardless of other match results**
**if both zergs win** -if hero wins 2-0, irregardless of zero's results hero advances
-hero wins only by 2-1, zero wins 2-1, hero advances
-hero wins only by 2-1, zero wins 2-0 zero's winrate of 11-6(64.7%) would then finally be better than hero's 12-7 (63.2%), zero advances
**if everyone lose** -hero will advance... -unless hero lose by 0-2 and zero lose by 1-2, then zero advances due to his better head to head record against hero.

Yeah, BeSt went through the Ardenne and melted everything. GG
