carriers can shoot up, there is a chance to cloak the wraiths and try and snipe them, but there were always 3-4 observers with the carriers and is more of a Hail Mary than a legit strat.

Wraith strategies are pretty much garbage against Carriers.
1. If the opponent has any detection they all die in seconds. It is very easy for Protoss to have tons of detection when going Carriers because there's nothing else to use the robo for. 2. Carriers have 4 base armor so it's not even like Wraiths do that much damage. 3. Wraiths cost tons of gas that could go to Goliaths instead. 4. To make any significant number of Wraiths you need extra Starports, which you usually won't have in TvP.
Sometimes it works as a desperation move but you'd always rather have a critical mass of upgraded Goliaths.

Wraiths do pretty well vs carriers though, even when they're seen. Unless a lot more resources were put into the Carrier fleet than the Wraith one (which happens a lot, and is why ppl think Wraiths suck vs Carriers).
Maybe the problem was Sea had already dumped tons of 'antiair money' into Goliaths, so if he buys a big Wraith fleet as well (which he'd have to, GC had a lot of carriers), even if he beats down the Carriers, Gol + Wraith ain't so great as a big part/mainstay of his army vs goons and HTs (the rest of GuemChi's army). (?)
But I could be wrong. Maybe Sea just didn't have the gas.
Dozed off Was kind of expecting more M&M since he already had invested into it, I even recall the TLnet attack where he used it versus Carriers right on Blue Storm
The problem with wraiths is that they have the same anti air dps as goliaths, for nearly twice the cost. When counting in upgrades, goliaths will have higher dps in a normal mech game (where terran will not have gotten air upgrades). This makes goliaths the better choice in most games.

Unless the terrain hoses the goliaths, like it sure did this game.
Gols are great and cost-efficient, but lack ultimate mobility.
Also, IIRC gols do a split antiair attack, which means wraiths actually do a bit more damage vs the carriers' high armor than gols do.
Tuned in to Rapid for the interviews since they got the translation. First thing I hear out of Rapid: "Congrats to Team IAmMang on their *victorious victory*."
Sigh.
But his enthusiasm and energy for BW seems way up, and I didn't hear a single SC2 reference in the 3 minutes I tuned in, soooo.... he has greatly improved.
Meanwhile, BisuDagger and FlashFTW were saying how they got a sponsor now?

Haha. But even Artosis is calling Guemchi IAmMang because he used that nickname. Victorious victory is victorious victory when you 3-0 ^^

That's great Now you guys just need the viewer count you deserve
I was only half watching because I'm sneaking it at work, but couldn't Sea have ended the game near the beginning by charging right into Guemchi's main instead of hanging around bunkering up at the natural nexus? He had an overwhelming army from what I could tell and may have been able to grab position atop the gateways and just win?
Loving 2v2 btw, reminds me of me and my friends massing random multiplayer games on that map back when we were all terrible (not that we aren't now).

He might've been able to but it looked like he just wanted to play it safe. If he goes in immediately, he loses his bunker advantage and he's only working off of 1 rax at that point. If he was going something like 2 rax, then definitely a possibility but he was going for the expo instead.
