Once the major Russian BW portal reps.ru has published a very interesting post titled "A present".
Admin, 4p)MickeyMouse, says that he possess a log from WhatsApp / Telegram / Skype regarding discussions on the future tournament. + Show Spoiler +
Мне выслали лог обсуждения то ли в скайпе, то ли в телеграме, то ли в вацапе (по форме не угадаешь) о предстоящем крупном турнире. Я не могу опубликовать сам лог с именами участников, так как рискую лишиться источника информации, но о чём можно сказать точно, это о наличии достойных денежных призов. translate.google.com: I was sent a discussion log either in Skype, or in a telegraph, or in a watsap (you can not guess in form) about the upcoming big tournament. I can not publish the log itself with the names of the participants, because I risk losing the source of information, but what can I say for sure is the availability of worthy cash prizes.
He says that he cannot share the logs, as he is afraid to loose the source, however what he can assure of - is a worthy prize pool.
He also says that the tournament is scheduled to start in about few weeks, and the map pool will be based on current Battle.net ladder.
I will keep your informed about movements in Russian BW community as always
isnt lag a valid reason ? the last time i did play him i had to give up after winning 1-0 cuz the lag was terrible,it made me very angry, but cuz he is the best player ofc he is the one with the right to pass next round even if i was winning.VPN is dead so we dont have a way to reduce lag anymore,i think for the sole reason of having fun playing and not lag games.China and Korea should be excluded.(i have to clarify that there is an specific time that chinese players dont lag.and is actually like playing foreigners but for most of the time it lag.i even heard they lag even playing vs eachother.

A reason to consider, thank you <3 And it will not be just "well noted, dismiss"

Some Europeans lag with KR. Some of them don't. it's not a good reason to keep saying "kr lag plz disallow KR" because South Americans like Peruvians will also lag with Europeans. Peruvians actually have good connection with KR, and there is no lag when we are playing on TR8 low latency.
Don't wanna pick on people, but I've seen some European players lag with their region players(seen from Lancerx, Ret, dewalt's stream).

When did I say I won't help you? And I honestly don't understand why you have said to me like a warning.
PS: look at the PM. and don't wait for quick reply from me this week(almost over though). I'm busy travelling around Korea with my family. All this week was full of holiday in KR. - -

That's a tournament hosted by Russians, bro. No offence, but we don't have free speech, human rights, democracies. We have fucking cold winter, complete authocracy and Gulags. No exlusions. A warning is a free motivation.

Well, I can see from your point of view, but this is an global game community website(i might be wrong, but i assume so). Everyone came with different aspects and cultures. I wish you to be speaking kindly. love♥
To keep it 100%, if this tournament is hosted in Russia, isn't Korea distance to other European players a fallacious position to take? In other words, if a tournament was hosted by say the Chinese community, would Scan/other Koreans still be considered for ban because it "lags for Europeans" when they play against them, even though Koreans are closer? Is it simply because more Europeans are inconvenienced by this than the smaller number of Koreans who sign up for these tours - a majority rules situation?
I know that the games aren't hosted in Russia and that it's not on Russia server or something like that, but I think in this case since the tournament is organized in Russia then the argument of "no Koreans because lag" doesn't hold as much water. It takes two to lag sometimes. Russia being somewhat of a midpoint between Western Europe and Korea, I don't know if that should work the same way.

In Russia, you can buy about ten police officers with your tournament wins. It is standard meassure of greatfullness. Keep that in mind.

so great idea with tour system (eliminations+ finals) so great prize pool and so big lag vs koreans damaging show and fun so bad that winner takes all when prizepool is so huge and could be easilly splitted between top 8 players.
I wish to this tour all the best but I suggest some rules adjustment to make it more user and viewer friendly: -ban lagging players and -flexible prizepool split depending on final prizepool for each elimination (eg. prizepool 100$ splitted between 2 players, prizepool 101-400$ splitted between 4 players, prizepool >400$ splitted between 8 players)
