Strange decision to go carriers on fs imo, meh
It's a cross position carrier. www.teamliquid.net
People should know by now that cross position Carrier Build is popular. Shuttle does this every time, and he optimized this build into one of his style. Even Bisu admitted this strong build and used in his PvT matches.

Poor Shuttle, no Legend of the Fall for this time...

Just watched the games on youtube. 1-1 for my picks once again.
Mind played brilliantly in that last game. Playing a great game against Shuttle, great play. Bisu of course a beast as always. Sad to see Shuttle not make it through though.

Rain has a better chance imo and I do think he ends up advancing, which leaves 2T 2P 4Z in ro8
On tesagi, it really shouldnt be a surprise that if you make maps to nerf flash, you end up with most Ts having a really hard time getting deep in a tourney.

Well Iearned today that the singer of the theme song for this asl season is a satanic homosexual.
But hey he's an edomite. Im not surprised.

But yea BISU delivered tho!! Great wins and he won with carriers like i predicted.

Man I wish every game was a best of 3, I need more ASL in my life!

I was wondering what Bisu planned by hiding his robo bay but leaving his shuttle hanging near the robo facility .I doubt that was a mistake, btw.
On that map you can harass with 2zeas+1goon on the back base while poking the T at the ramp with goons, so I thought he wanted to suggest that, but then, there was no point of keeping it near the robo...
Did he hide the reaver tech and then realize he wanted Mind to make a lot of turrets to delay a possible push since he was going carriers and the reaver was for defensive purposes (and later to use it in conjunction with the carriers)?
Just curious what was the metagame there. If any.
Also, Bisu's plan was to catch the T on the high ground but Mind dribbled the reaver and went another path, that could've costed bisu the game. Amazing micro.
On Jangbi's 'leaving the army' thread here people were discussing if he was the best PvTer ever or not I mentioned how Jangbi was much better than any toss at using the reaver to defensive purposes, he'd double expo and go reaver tech and still defend such pushes, Bisu pulled a Jangbi here.
2 tanks were joining the party and Bisu couldn't macro during that battle since the micro was way more intensive for the toss there. Amazing stuff.

So good to see that Bisu's here to win! Seeing Mind absolutely wreck the other opposition just makes Bisu's win all the more impressive.

Anyone sick of crossing ground?? who was the genius that looked at hbr and said, hey, adding a free base at the back will make for more interesting games

That fight was a pimpest play right there. I was watching the game with my buddies on a huge 107 inch screen and we were all screaming in disbelief. Enormous reaver micro.
And I thought pulling a JangBi was pushing with goons and carriers at separate expos and killing both bases or something like that? Or it's just any amazing PvT play?

For some weird reason after watching so many remastered games... I just noticed the mini-map in observer mode also tracks the movement of players screens, mind-blown.

I don't think it was anything special, reavers do pretty well vs unsieged tanks. I'm not sure why Mind didn't siege, he must have had it at that point. It's practically suicide when attacking into reavers.

BISU!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I was so scared. i thought that flank would surely kill him. but shuttle didnt split goons and so bisu got 2 and then 3 per volley. holy shit if we don't get flash and bisu for finals, I will be very upset (insert: fuck you shine, glad you got knocked out!)

Dude that engagement from Bisu was Mind blowing!

I'm very happy Bisu made it, you could tell he was super nervous. He has every reason to believe in himself more than it seems he does at this moment of his career. His game is incredible. Go all the way Bisu!
Is it already set that Flash vs Mind will happen, or some kind of draw still needs to take place?
|
Hey someone please update liquipedia to put Bisu in the ro8.
|
There is still a draw to take place after tomorrow's games. Don't know why people are randomly filling out the Ro8 on liquipedia.

Holy fuck the Reavers in Game 3.
