Maybe try to get Alm on board? He did some casting for afreeca based stuff recently.

I'm trying too not get too excited as the combination of my schools internet (I live in school dorms because things are going well for me in my 30's) and Afreeca made it almost unwatchable last time round. But hell I'm going to try and watch.

That seems to improve the connection for a lot of people.

Watching in the TL preview instead of on the site itself works well for me too. For whatever reason, embedded videos on TL sift through whatever Afreeca does that's super laggy.

He has grown his stream in the last few months, but every time I check in he's playing random on a UMS map that can't help him prepare. Seems to be having a blast and that's great, but I doubt Calm and those he's constantly playing with will do very well in ASL.
Too bad, I'd like to see him and some of that bunch go far. Also the group he's in.. Best, Mind, Rush.. he's not getting out of that group without preparing. I think that is his strategy. There are two cases: If he will be eliminated, it's fine so He didn't train seriously. If he will advance to Ro16. Yeah, It's exactly he trained seriously and hide it for everyone. Even though any cases will happen, he always is who wins.
Calm's group: Best and Calm will advance.
Because of Rush is so weak, even if He gets advantage in the game, he won't be also know how to finish the game with a win game (1 2 for Rush).
Mind will lose to Rush in the TvT match and then lose in the next game with Best or Calm. It's easy to guess (0 2 for Mind).

Rush weak? Rush is probably on the same level as Mind atm. if not better. Calm looked considerably more shaky than Rush in the qualifiers. IIrc Rush took down Soulkey 2-0 and it was actually quite one-sided...

Rush is depressed quickly when he is disadvantage and don't know how to win when he has advantage (do you remember to match his TvT with Mind?).

Pusan fighting! Still remember him as the first pro I ever watched replays of in like 2005 - learned a lot from him and loved him ever since! <3
He was my first, and he was gentle.

First you say Mind is not a contender for the group as Rush will beat him but now you mention Rush's lacking mental fortitude with an example where he was outplayed by Mind. Why do you think Rush would beat Mind this time around then?

Why do you think Rush would beat Mind this time around then? Rush has been training so much TvT games with Flash, Sharp and Mong. Although he was not good at this matchup TvT, but I believe that he will be win Mind.

I wish I understood what he's saying, but Best is on his stream giving his thoughts on Group A... all while wearing a white T-shirt with a great big "C" on it. What a character. + Show Spoiler +

The new maps really make me want to watch some bw live again. Time to wake up at ungodly hours like in the good old days!

finally it is about to start. I've been waiting so long for ASL.

i havent been this hyped for bw since proleague finals with bisu :D

I believe I'm reading this right, Ro24 and Ro16 is Bo1 double elim groups like Code S?
Given that the maps are published in advance, does this lend itself towards some players developing hyper specific timing strategies?
For instance, Light/Shine already know they have to prepare to play a Protoss on their second map regardless of winning/losing.
Or is the predilection for standard play more "meta" right now?
Thanks from an old SC2 and new-ish BW fan!

"Plying?"
Broadcasting rights deals have nothing to do with 3rd party influence.

Why you gotta kill the dream, Rapid? I'm just trying to give them hope!
