Dang, Mini made Last look like a second tier terran Movie vs Rain on the other hand was fun. I didn't think that Movie would actually match Rain for so long every single game and even took the lead at times, but Rain as someone said is too damn good at eking out small advantages or bringing himself back into the game. Regardless, that BS game was great!

To be fair, Rain is one of the best macro tosses right now. Snow is abusive as hell with reavers which are the bane of many terrans and he also seems to know how to play the matchup extremely well. Mini is an anomaly and has his own unique style that even Flash has problems with him though to be fair, Mini played crazy well today surviving Last's attack without losing a single carrier (Last should've pushed much harder when he had the chance and kill stuff) and just pushed him to the limit (that pull into the main with the reaver then pushed the natural when he had a single tank sieged).

That's what I'm saying, imo Last played well but never good enough to take the second game. Flash would have pushed much harder and get his 3rd gas faster to produce more goliaths. Mini was never in danger as long as he held his 3rd. Doesn't matter how many interceptors you kill, as long as Protoss doesn't lose a base or Carriers it's very easy to come back with 8 carriers, especially on blue storm.
And the third game Mini made Last look like a C+ Terran.

That game was hilarious, kept spitting out my food.

I don't understand why either. Maybe he didn't think he could commit just yet and worried he'll lose all his tanks once the goliaths were picked off?

I'm pretty sure Mong gets 3-0ed every time by Snow, Rain and Mini. Hopefully Mind can show some sort of resistance.

Are there any VODs on Youtube, or is it just twitch?

Wondering the same, I can’t find the VODs in YouTube. Checking twitch I guess

Afaik Blizzard has some sort of exclusivity stuff going on with Twitch?
And since KSL is a Blizzard event it will only be on Twitch, could be wrong, sad if I am right because Twitch VODs aren't exactly the best...

As someone who has repeatedly discount Movie as a good protoss, I've been pleasantly surprised by how well he has performed in this tournament. His games against Larva were great, and though I can't tell if larva just seems like he is not in best form or not, I feel like Movie has been a fantastic player to watch as of late. Sure, on paper he lost pretty hard to Rain, but it was less of a complete stomp that I thought it would be.

Movie has always been great when he actually was practice. This was during the Sonic era but he's been busy last couple of years so his results are quite lackluster. Still, him making it to the Ro16 in the last ASL shows his capabilities. Also, agree, his games against Rain aren't reflected well in the results.

Movie is a legendary Protoss in my mind. Not surprised he is showing good form since he started practicing more seriously.

these bo5's are not fun to watch so early

I don't know why people call Last the second best Terran. From his games I just don't see any spark that would suggest an aptitude for Terran play beyond the level of second tier pro gamers. From his FPVods I can see that he uses his mouse waaaayyy too much it almost seems like he's playing with only the mouse.
Sharp on the other hand, holy crap, that TvT vs Sea shows a great ability to adapt and a very robust style. Never paid much attention to him but he looks fantastic. Right now he seems like the second best Terran to me.
And Mini, yes, oh my god, this guy is fking scary PvT and PvZ.

I don't really get why the first two games between Last and Mini are so poorly rated. I thought g1 was fairly alright and g2 was pretty cool. Last just wasn't up to Mini's level but Mini played pretty spectacular. His army movement and attacks were on point. I completely disagree with Artosis and Tasteless in game 3 that his attack on Last's third was bad. He traded a good chunk of army which is what you want to do if you have a commanding lead with so many expansions. Don't let the terran turtle to 200/200. It would have been a bad attack if barely killed anything but he actually killed quite a bit.

Me neither. Every time I see Mini I am extremely impressed. Seems like a lot of ungrateful complainers. Best of 5 is incredible, a rare delectable treat with great English casters--unprecedented. And Mini v Last was a fun set, with impressive play from the winner in each match--he didn't roll over Last, he simply outclassed him and earned it.

Last back to his original form, then again he was never very good against Protoss.

But now I've changed my attitude to "More BW matches! Fuck yeah!"
