Both Savior and go.go are coming into this match with a loss against each respective race. go.go got roflstomped by ZerO last night, while Savior's last loss against Terran was against Canata earlier in the group.
sAviOr (see above for statistics)/go.go (vs. Terran 55.26%) ? - ? (vs. Zerg 54.35%, vs. Terran 54.84%) Canata
Canata has won his last 3 games against Zerg and lost his last two against Terran. go.go has also lost his last two games against Terran.
Much is in one helluva slump right now, and I don't know how well he'll match up against FBH. However, firebathero's TvP isn't exactly the best in the world - just look at that percentage! His recent performance hasn't been the most encouraging either. 2 games won out of 10 for his last 10 games.
fOrGG has had an average record against both Terran and Protoss (~50%). However, he has only won 2 games out of his last 10 against Protoss, though one of those wins was against Much.

I compiled a list of statistics in the OP ;;
Gogo Solinren! Just know that if you fail tonight, there will be no where else to turn to for Korean commentary. Can you handle the burden? :O
Yikes. Two ZvTs just might be too much for Savior to handle.
And I have a feeling the FBH/Much winner will beat ForGG. FBH's TvT is still very good, at least when he's not busy thinking about dancing and playing Flash at the same time. While Much should be able to at least beat ForGG given ForGG's current condition.
I'm not sure how many league qualifications Savior has left in him.... I think he can pull it off, but if he loses, this could very well be the last time we see the greatest (by some definitions) SC player ever play in a starleague.
Come on Maestro, one more! You're not done yet....
Something about seeing the great Nada finally drop out of Kespa top 30 and then go down in unimpressive fashion against Horang2 just makes it feel like the inevitable might be near. Sooner or later all the bonjwas may become essentially completely irrelevant in the Starleagues, and a chapter of SC history will be completely closed with it.
What Terran goes 2 rax expand -> SK Terran anymore? What Zerg goes for 3 hat lurk? I seriously miss it over all this mech nonsense. Fun gory multitasking wars and defiler play/mass vessels is the most fun SC matchup.
Savior has lost quite a few games lately where he gets the advantage, then forgets to expand/macro and slowly loses, feels good to watch him actually win a game like that (even if it was closer than I'd liked).

Yeah - once upon a time Savior looked in control of a game at all times. It never looked like things were spiraling out of control and he always pulled at least one "this is why he's the best" move per game, and I'm not talking about lings killing Marines early on because the Terran was stupid.
Say what you want about the competition. I don't care if Savior says he's better now - watching him play ... he's not.
Still glad to see him win of course! One brilliant play away from another BO3 ... please!

Oh wow
TvZ: 14-5 (73.7%)
Maybe that's why Savior looked so bad. It's the maps fault. Even Ganzi beat Jaedong on this map.
It's definitely a very hard map to play for ZvT, especially late game. You're practically pincered by M&Ms and have to be ready at every front, including casting swarms on multiple fronts, which really can be an issue.

Me too, I just watched Firebathero vs Jaedong on Harmony again, such a great TvZ with SK Terran.

The Looks of it also have a lot to do with people's expectations. If this was 2 1/2 years ago you'd have said "Aw, go.go taking this? Come on! Savior was in total control all the time"

yeah, no one would have expected him to lose this game
You guys don't consider that maps get "solved' over time and that a map balance can change a lot from initial balance. Not saying this is the case for Carthage but yeah. I definately think Savior is a favorite over Canata... cuz Carthage is huge and Canata is slow.

That's partly true, but I don't think old Savior lost bases and units left and right that could have been saved, and gave back huge advantages. A lot of that is probably selective memory though.
SKT1, STX and eSTRO getting all players to RO16 while big losers are Khan, Hite and KT. Big winner for next season MSL is CJ (3 players already qualified, 3 players qualified to Survivor and only Much left) which will have 7 or 8 players for next season depending Much performance. If Much wins next match, Nbs will be their teams "best" ranked player to get team spot for Survivor. Amazing from KeSPA ranked # 90
Guess FBH's TvPs at samsung HQ never go to late game, theres no way you can be so cluless at this matchup while having Stork and Jangbi to practice with.
In TvP it's like Protoss has two Win Triggers/Conditions: - Destroy all of your opponents buildings - Somehow stay alive to build 8 Carriers No matter how far you have been behind, you win.

GG, really awkward game, like 80% of ForGG's TvPs are like that since he ever started playing, I remember millions of games like this vs Free,YJ,Stork,Kal,Jangbi, its just hillarious how awkward his games get.

Unfortunately for you, Forgg gets to play his only decent MU next round. He will give Calm a ride for his money. + Calm wouldve shitraped much's terrible PvZ, especially Calm's midgame is really strong, whileas Much played the worst progamer PvZ I have seen in my life vs Jaedong.

who has more MSL titles, forGG or his opponent in the Ro16, Calm?

ForGG is and always will be capable of being the best TvZer around. The dude's stats in that match up aren't for show, and I'm not sure Calm can beat ForGG if he's coming out of his slump.

ride for his money? i think calm is going to brutally annihilate forgg.

Everyone in the chat disagreed with me, but I thought that Much's only advantage before that attack was his Goon army. They had a similar number of workers, but ForGG's tech was intact while much's was about to go down.
Such a fun game, it was so hard to tell what was going to happen. ForGG's micro was amazingly good.

You realize hes the dude who 3-0ed Jaedong.
ya that was back when he was good though, he's not even close to that lvl now
I can assure you MBCgame won't change how the bracket works just to prevent JD and Flash meeting at RO4
But if the format does stay the same, group G and H will not meet until the finals.
EDIT: And as a Flash fan I've gotta say, I think this is the first time Flash had such an easy bracket :O So easy that I would be very very disapointed to see flash actually not reach semifinals with ease.

My brackets for RO8 arent MBCgame brackets, I made them. Most likely it will be slightly different when RO16 finishes.

Good job on referring to games of almost a year ago? A year is seemingly eternity in the pro-secene nowadays. He might have beaten JD back then but he's playing like crap right now, and it's the present that matters. I was obviously talking about his state of play now and not his accomplishments spanning the whole of his career.
- Savior's control. It was less than impressive through both games. - Savior's lack of balls against Canata. He had enough mutas to engage the goliaths SEVERAL times, but by the time he was finally forced to, it was too late. - fbh's indecisiveness. "I'm going to just crush him. No, I'm going to save my base. No, I'm going to take an expansion. Wait, I'm dead?" - fbh's complete lack of ability to build a turret line in his main.
Things I am impressed with:
- Much's ability to be a cheesy bastard. - fOrGG's micro. Holy cow. - savior's solid solid strategy against go.go.
It's like whenever there's a comeback, half of the people go "omg that was so gooooood" and the other half goes "damn, that game sucked so badly, that guy played so poorly".
I wish Savior would've deserved to win but he didn't. Sloppy throughout both of his games, don't know if he would've won the first one at all without the dozen free marines at the beginning of the game.

Wanted much to get through..
of course he wouldnt have won if he hadnt killed the dozen marines cuz it was a cheesy tactic...
Savior could have won 2nd game if he hadnt waited for canata to rape him
