Yes, but doing so would lead me to believe that we don't all live the land of milk and honey with floating fairies and mystical dragons. Are you trying to kill my positive outlook on life?
Vs 2 gaterush, prox hatch kill probes defend main with lings+sunk. Then he realize its a forge, so he must cancel the hatch since protoss will have 1 cannon in main.
Whatever Korean law forbids the press from naming suspects is really dumb. So Fomos can give us little hints and let the rumor mill run wild, but the truth is illegal? I don't understand. Rumors can be far more damaging than official suspicion—and at least if someone reported on who was implicated, the suspects would be able to step up and defend themselves without seeming a "little too worried about rumors".
I agree. If the names are released, then the fandom can confirm things, hate on and cry about the involved players, and then move on.
Right now, though, everyone is free to suspect every single player and every single game ever played. Rumors, many of them totally unsubstantiated, are already starting to fly left and right. Right now, people can accuse any number of perfectly legit players and coaches of crimes, the scope of which can and will be greatly exaggerated. And all of this has the potential to be very damaging to the e-sports scene as a whole.
The best thing Kespa can do now is publically fess up, name and disbar the players involved, and make very clear the exact extent and incidences of their crimes. The longer the scene goes without confirmation, the more damage will be done...
The whole point is that they haven't found out for certain how many gamers are really guilty of this. Why release a list and then have to add or remove names from it. If you wrongly put someone on an official list when no charges have been pressed, then you've ruined his career forever. If you release a list leaving out some guilty parties then not only will fans feel betrayed later on when names are added but Kespa will look even more stupid.
No list can be released until they've finished their investigation. It's such a serious issue so they to be thorough and not mess things up even further by rushing the investigation.
Better: government transparency. The DA should announce who is under investigation and why. Stress that they aren't confirmed guilty yet, they just want information.

Take a look at the TSL. Idra ESC cancels a CC to lose one of his games. Ends up losing one game because of a 13 CC build against cheese. And turns around and does the exact same build against the same cheese in the next game. Especially after saying to the media before hand that the only way Nony could beat him is with cheese. I don't see anyone flying the red flag of suspicion here.
Stuff happens. Not only do people make newbie mistakes occasionally but they also make stupid mistakes in the search for bragging rights. When I play against a friend that I know I am better then, I don't play in the same manner I would against a player on the same skill level as me. I do stupid little stuff like trying to cannon rush his natural or disruptive web push, we all do it.
There's always the chance that the thought that went through Savior's head was 'Oh, he tried to cheese me, haha, watch me cheese him back, I'm just that good.' And then the smirk at the end is because he realized his arrogance just cost him what would have been an easy win.
Innocent until proven guilty, and that Savior v Spear game prove nothing other than the fact that Savior is an obnoxious asshole like the rest of us.
Honestly by your standard of suspicion anything short of sending all workers to the middle of the map for 5 minutes is probably just an accident, right? Theres no way a progamer who spends 10 hours every day for 5 years would defend as miserably as luxury defended vs Hwasin.
And again, ITS NOT THAT HARD TO BELIEVE IT WOULD HAPPEN. It's easy money that u get from working less. Put yourself in that position. You have an upcoming proleague match. Wat's more appealing to you: practice the entire day studying the map and studying the other player and working to form a build to play against him and then learning all the intricacies of the build for the next 3 days or just purposely agreeing to make a blunder and profit from it.
The problem with that train of thought is that you're only going to get offered money to lose if you're expected to win. I mean, from the perspective of a bookie, if Flash were playing it would be worth rigging the match because a lot of people would bet on him, but if someone like Justin were playing I wouldn't bother. If you take too much money and lose too often then you stop making money, since your value dissipates. You need to win often enough so that people still trust you to pull through. Even rigging a few matches is risky, considering how volatile Starcraft is; you rig one too many, your winrate drops down to even 50%, which isn't unlikely since you're going to be lacking practice in all likelihood, and no one is paying you to drop games anymore. So from the perspective of the player, you want to rig as many matches as possible while still being a consistently winning player. For that reason you can't assume that too many matches are rigged, not only because it would be really suspicious. For example, there's no way Effort's slump is because all of his past few games have been rigged. At this point, no one is going to bet on him anymore, so no one is going to pay him to lose.

hmm looking at this game from the POV of "He threw this game" his end result was not that legit he didnt seem like it was a real upset, it looked like an act in his face. HAHA fuckin guy is baller! i was never a savior fan until now :D on a side note, all of my friends who never liked sc heard about this and they kinda showed interest in the topic of sc lmfao.
I know, people who didn't care about starcraft at all are now interested in the scandal, it's kinda funny.

Its a East Asian human rights issue so no.
I'm aware of that.
But that rule just allows for easy coverups and information suppression, which plays directly into Kespa's hand here. They want to sweep this under the rug as quickly as possible and pretend it never happened.

quit making Kespa out to be some evil entity. any sporting association would try to cover up something which could potentially destroy the scene. the blame lies on the players who were tempted into rigging games.
everyone knows that these illegal activities took place, it's absurd to believe that Kespa and whoever else are pretending that it never happened. when the investigations are complete, no one will be covering up anything.
What the shit, the hatchery cancel fucked himself. I know the hat was bit far but couldnt savior make the hatchery closer and morph sunkens instead? it out ranges cannons, kills probes in 2(3) hits, and delay toss economy, forcing zealot to move back.
What is there to get from canceling? all the shit he morphs comes from 1 hat 3 larvaes anyway. Nat wouldnt work cuz he is so delayed already vs 3 zealot and proxy cannon.
i am by no mean pro, but that's just my speculation.
