Team Dignitas players SeleCT released his new site today offering coaching and also leveling of accounts something that is forbidden according to Blizzard EULA. The thought behind the coaching style of "leveling" is that the account owner can see how a pro player is handling the opponents on that certain level.
Rating and account boosting has been very common among pro players in World of Warcraft resulting in permanent bans on both the borrowed and the pro players account.
On a side note it's interesting that SeleCT decides to start his own site and not focusing on Sixpoolgaming where he was listed on launch nor doing it with his team.

other streamers actively do this too, havent seen them get in trouble for it yet
i think everyone knows the most obvious one
cant say it sits well with me personally but its none of my business i figured

Seems like we should wait for SeleCT or someone from Dignitas to comment on it, and not start making drama right away.
|
I noticed it is against the rule >< I erased my leveling page
|
Anyway.. no one was interested good for me

Some of these guys might be nervous the next time Blizz announce "25 000 accounts banned" or w/e.

Well that may be the quickest solution to a thread ever. lol

There we go, case closed.

Holy crap that was quick! His reaction times are amazing!
|
lol @ rakaka.se for throwing that on the front page
|
I am sorry for causing those problem !! I honestly didn't know it was against the rule T_T.. If i knew i wouldn't have started I apologize!!
|
It was very kind to make a thread about it on TeamLiquid instead of PM'ing him.
|
Surprised people care, EULA are mostly a joke. But I guess people get jealous when others make money easily.
|
Am I the only one who thinks rakaka is basically the worst website in the world? Not just coming in here to rag on people, but it's like the Enquirer of the Starcraft world, only less funny.

who knew that great APM often used for causing his opponents problems in-game would also help him to defuse problems so quickly out of the game?
sc2 transitions into real life so well...

On April 30 2011 06:27 SeleCT wrote: I noticed it is against the rule >< I erased my leveling page No big deal imo, it's an interesting idea when it's done for teaching rather than just selling gm accounts. Good luck with the website/coaching. ^^

What's the point of "leveling" an account anyways? I could see this on iCCup where you stagnate after a while... But, with bonus pool this seems useless.
|
Case closed so fast and clean. <3 SeleCT

I love Select.

omg... select you might be my new favorite player LOL that was incredible

Select turned this into a select fanclub thread in exactly 3 minutes. I somehow don't think that's what the op was going for. :D

EDIT: too late Great response by SeleCT (Although I knew immediately he didn't know it was against the rules, he seems like a really cool guy)

select may be a modern day King Midas. Be careful with your gift sir ^_~

|
<3 thank you for cheering me ^_^ Again sorry for causing problem!!
I will be streamming alot in May see ya on my stream~~
|
Who cares? Do your thing Select

I may be wrong, but I actually didn't see it as "pay me and I'll get your account in masters"
From what I have read his point was to play against the same people you play against, and see the actual differences in play compared to yours, and not just a "leveling for payment" kind of deal like in wow.
But anyway, seems like its fixed already :p

select fightinggg!!! so fast

Yes that was my purpose idea hehe but.. It is against the rule. So i shouldn't start it ><
|
I don't think getting your account banned is as much of a deterrent as not being invited to Blizzcon or whatever, which SeleCT has been and based on how well he performs on ladder and the fact that Blizzard based invites off ladder scores, he probably would be invited again :D

I have a friend who is leveling another person's account to master in trade for doing a school project for him. I also leveled another friend's account to diamond(he didnt want master) so all of his leagues would be the same and his profile would look nicer lol.
|
that i read on this website was that he will play some games and send replay for self-analysing, definitly not leveling accounts.
nevertheless, i guess it is solved now.

Plz man,,get real.
Its good to see Select react so fast but odd that he wasnt aware it was illegal to boost others account even though he prolly had good intentions.
|
Who doesn't love diamonds (and beyond). They're so pretty! Anyways, awesome site. Lulz on only realizing now that helping to level other people's accounts is against the rules.
Better keep that one under the table ;D
|
I used to love selling arena points in WoW.
However, I'm glad its against the rules.

It's getting silly what people think passes for threads these days. Why wouldn't you just PM select instead of making a thread? What is wrong with you?
