It is becoming incendiary reactions to out of context expressions of anger which are being perceived as racism. Racist or offensive words are not racism. While one perpetuates the other words are not indicative of individual beliefs. Also to call for his termination from EG his new job wherein during his work he has never used a loaded word is moving beyond taking a stand against racism. Moving forward representing EG by nature of being under their employ (not on the team mind you, rather under employment) and no longer making offensive comments would mean he is fulfilling his role. Should he make comments like this in the future or act in a clear manner as to show he has serious personal convictions regarding people of a different nationality or ethnicity then it would make sense that we as a community could be concerned and inform his employer about these allegations. We don't need to run to the forums and Reddit creating a shitstorm for companies to navigate. We are creating a situation wherein a company has to react in accordance with the rabid populous in order to maintain their viewership numbers or face a potential boycott considering the rabid nature of the Drama fueled SC community. Can we not be mature about the situation? Must we post an OP such as the one herein? Can we not allow the individuals involved to make their own statements? Should we instead go out of our way to hunt through hours and hours of SC2 replays and vods on twitch to find the odd circumstance of some damning evidence? Does what he does on personal stream or unaired ladder game have any impact on his professional work? Do his past actions however misguided really represent EG in a negative light? How many of you have done something wrong or something you regret? If none then sure go ahead and get mad at orb. But you know what while I've never said the N word in private or public I have said and done some things that I know and feel are wrong. Should that keep me from getting a job? Or trying to improve to get a job in the future? Orb isn't trying to become a kindergarten teacher with a history of pedophilic behaviour. His actions in the past have no bearing on his ability to perform his job now or his actions from here on out. If I had the time to go back and dig up the skeletons in many players closets I'm sure I can find it. Does that mean these people should lose their positions now when they don't act this way while now being in the public spotlight? No. Did Day [9]s old blog post about the masturbation story mean he is ostracized by the SC community? Is Destiny's defense of the N word in the past and continued use of retard and other words a reason for him to get kicked off QxG? We all like to act like the koreans over react when they get offended by a probe rush in GSL but here we are over reacting to past actions not done on a public stage before Orb was given the professional position he has now. Have you ever seen orb use the N word in a malicious, directed, and racist manner? I haven't. I have seen him use the word when he is mad and like everyone who gets mad sometimes you stay dumb shit. That's my 2 cents, I'm just getting tired of all this drama taking over the SC community there's so much more we could and should be putting our energy towards. You're wrong. I work in a professional office. If I called someone a dumb nigger I would be fired in 10 seconds flat. Even if I was off the clock, even if I'm playing a video game. My boss hears me say that I'm done.

First of all let me state the use use of F****** and N**** are hurtful words where its sole purpose was to demean and destroy a group of people. I don't give two fucks if you give me an argument about Oh well, are you Black? OH! This is just internet trash talk. Nah.. Nah. Secondly! Orb, you are representing now a team that has amazing sponsors and an unbelievable organisation behind it. Your words now directly reflect EG and their sponsors. And shit! Don't keep somebody around who may turn off potential sponsors and brands due to one dickhead. I don't care if it is done on stream or only on ladder or only at LAN parties, if word gets around that you are a bigot or an internet trash talking bigot then MANY companies and brands would not touch that with a ten foot poll. Lastly! I agree with the outcry because hell, look at the FGC. They had a serious asshole step up and completely paint a negative picture of their community whether they liked it or not. What did they do about it? Fuck all. They sounded and looked like apathetic, whiney and DUMB kids in my opinion. Don't let the SC2 community, EVER, be represented by somebody who does not represent us at all in the slightest. Do I think that he should be shunned from professional casting? Meh, not my call. But do I think that anybody who wants to be put in the spotlight, yet conducts themselves in a way that hurts our community image should be allowed to continue representing us? Nope! Thanks xD :D

Annoymonity actually encourages the expression of what people actually think. As the old saying goes Men speak the truth from behind masks. I really don't care if he calls people a nigger and people trying to turn the usage of the word into a witch-hunt have a serious problem with society. Trying to control what other people think or say is despicable.

This is against blizzarrd TOS also so if any of the people he played against just reported him, he would get suspended. Maybe his actions are indefensible. Certainly I would not encourage people to call each other niggers. But I don't think he needs to be persecuted for doing what thousands of people do on the ladder every day.

When people can stop seeing people of other religions, sexualities, and origins as different, we move closer to equality. When people can't say a word because a certain set of people differentiate themselves, we move farther from the goal of equality. When you deem the youth culture of today racist because of the word without considering the context that might have evolved from an amelioration or pejoration of that word, you stifle progression, and you stifle the crawl towards equality. Now, that isn't to say orb was perfectly in the right, he did LIE to the new company that was kind enough to house and employ him, which is seriously bad juju, but when we focus on what vocabulary he uses in his personal time, we have an issue. Yes, he should conduct himself in a more professional manner, but can we expect him to be a paragon of virtue for all of his life? Can we not appreciate how he distinctly cleans his act up for any gig where he might be representing someone other than himself, can we cut him no slack? Hes human for god's sake, and slip ups like these need to be tolerated. As long as they're slip ups, if its a habit, then something should be done, but as of right now, his major sin is lying to Team EG. I say 1 - 2 week suspension for the lying, and asking him to work on his vocabulary where possible.

He also cannot legally fire you for saying that off the clock and away from work and to someone not related to where you work, its how labour laws work in Canada anyway
