Is there a bug that resets the vetoes? When I checked afterwards, all the veto boxes were still checked as they were.
ps. I noticed the grammar error in the title

I only played on a vetoed map once. Maybe there's a really small chance modifier that a vetoed map will be chosen.

And it's true I never read that text. I mean, who has time to read when there's ladder to play!? I didn't wait in the qeue that long IIRC. Thanks. It's not called veto ingame "Vote against up to 3 maps"

As we currently believe:
But if we view the OP's event in conjunction with historical community claims that their vetoes have affected the race distribution of their opponents, with the idea that different races veto different maps, we have more support for the idea that actual match making occurs as:
And this can explain what happened in the OP's case by the vetoes being ignored if the match making takes a long time. And as the laddering community shrinks, we will see this become more commonplace. The community's belief has no evidence behind it - it's just based on how the first way is the more logical way to do things. But that doesn't mean it was the way that was implemented. Perhaps Blizzard ignored reason and decided to go the second way, or there might have been a programming error. This possibility seems more likely to me than the alternative, which is that Blizzard deliberately forces people to play on vetoed maps "rarely". If their intention is to have people play on vetoed maps, but just less often, then they would set it to "occasionally" instead of "rarely". TLDR: The balance of probabilities suggests a programming error whereby match making follows an illogical sequence of removing vetoes before matching the opponent, with the vetoes relaxed after a long search time, and the OP's experience is the result of such. This possibility supports many community members' claims that their vetoes affect the race distribution of their opponents.
