Does it mean that the end of the world won't start in the US like it happens in all the movies?

Actually, I red some place awhile ago that 6 persons born 11/11/1990 has to be sacrificed the 11/11/11 for the 21th december not to end the world. WELL I'M STILL HERE! Lol

But if it does, it would happen while I'm drunk in a pub surrounded by fellow nerds watching SC2 and having a blast. Could be worse I guess xD

I would assume it will end according to whatever timezone the Mayan Empire would have been in (US Central? I have no clue, too lazy to look at a map). But since there was no concept of time-zones its really just a crap shoot.

But since there was no concept of time-zones its really just a crap shoot. the mayans didnt account for leap years, so that date actually took place 60 years ago. EDIT: I did some research after posting realizing that i was going on heresay. the date is theoretically correct, but the biggest problem is the fact that in the mayan calendar, its the 13th baktum (era)... and during their calendar 12 baktums had already passed without the world being destroyed, let alone they never mentioned anything about the world ending. Its about the same as jan 1st every year. as far the planets aligning... that happens all the time.. it has about as much force on our planet as a butterflie's gravity effects the earth. If people want to enjoy their doomspreading please go for it, but at least have accurate facts.

Tony Robbins explains it best here about 16:05-19:00 (This is not just personal things that end up happening.) I recommend watching the entire video for the sake of it when you have time. There's a good nugget every 5min or so. Some people think that the media is trying to get people to believe something bad/apocalyptic will happen on Dec 21, thereby helping the thing to happen so that the Illuminati can kill a bunch of people. I personally don't believe it's worth worrying about such a scenario because in the event of such a situation, I'm dead anyway. Might as well reject that belief, and by rejecting, it also contributes to something positive. What I would like to see happen is as many people globally doing something at the same time. For example, if we got everyone in the world to sing, mediate, or participate in "come to the town square and hug each other day" maybe something good would happen regardless of the date. Also the Egyptian pyramids (I say Egyptian because there are pyramids all over the world) are a marker for the Sphinx, which looks toward a direction in the sky. Well, people figured out that there are four stars in the sky that don't ever move relative to each other, and one of them will be lined up with the Sphinx's gaze on or around Dec 21. Then they said ok, so this could be a clock with the Sphinx's gaze as the "hand" but when does the clock start? Well one of the stars is Regulus, aka the Lion's Heart, and there is this big mound in the Sphinx's chest region, and the Sphinx is a lion with a man's head. Edit: also in the Sphinx clock, 12/21/12 is the exact point at which the "sun rises" on the precessional "day" meaning that the past 13000 years were the "night" and the next 13000 years will be the "day" (meaning good stuff happen) Site sources. This sounds like its coming straight from your rectum.

However, wouldn't it be kinda cool if there actually was like a meteor heading toward earth, and all the governments had to work together to deflect it? Just came to mind b/c a meteor hitting the earth would be the best "guess" for how an actual doomsday would occur (even though it's been disproven for the 21st).
