Forgot how its supposed to go, but youre supposed to tense up your body, which tricks your eyes into doing the same. Then you just release and whatnot. I think. How would strengthening his eye muscles help? The muscles on your lens are relaxed when you are focusing far away and tense when you're focusing close-up. Near-sightedness is caused by your eyeball being too long: it causes the focus to fall in front of your retina even when your lens is fully relaxed. MAYBE focusing on far-away objects frequently can reverse some of the damage. Maybe it can prevent or slow down further deformation. Personally I try to do it more often as an effort to keep my eyes from getting even worse. If you want to actually improve your eyesight, the only solution that will reliably work is to use laser surgery to shave off part of your Cornea, moving the focus back onto your retina again. Wikipedia has more info on near-sightedness: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Near_sightedness

http://www.rebuildyourvision.com/order best I could do, but I'm 90% sure they're scams and something called the Bate's Method, a controversial but exercise-related way of improving one's vision. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Natural_Vision_Improvement Make note the Central fixation, is only a "theory"

toughen up your eye by constantly poking at the pupil, then later when you're confident move onto sharp objects. GL hahaha, good advice! im surprised it was not on Wikipedia also, i have heard things on the radio etc about improving your eyesight "naturally" a.k.a w/out glasses, the comercial talks about how wearing glasses etc is just causing your eyes to become "lazy" and rely on glasses to focus them...im not sure what the product was or how it worked though. - yeah it was something like this: http://www.holistichealthtools.com/improve-your-vision.html -further scrolling revealed this site also: http://web.singnet.com.sg/~hanwen/nvifaq.htm (this last one has the steps and tells you what to do w/out asking for cash) Does vision therapy take up much time? No. Primarily it is a matter of developing good visual habits and intergrating them throughout your normal day to replace bad visual habits. Can vision be improved? Yes. The US Air Force and many commercial airlines have a programs of training pilots with normal vision to super normal sight. Olympic athletes including the US volleyball and field hockey teams frequently work to improve their sight to beyond normal. Other athletes that do so include tennis champion Virginia Wade, the Dallas Cowboys, New York Yeankees, Val Skinner profesional golfer. Connecticut state police have regular vision improvement training. The list is endless.

Funny things can be achieved by "enforced" relaxation of muscles in your body, eyesight improvement is one of them. True relaxation is a bit difficult to learn tho, especially when it comes to finding such tricky muscles in your body like the ones stretching your eyes, or your sinuses. Those ever doing yoga tho, will probably know what I'm talking about. -Mynock

also looking through very very small holes forces your eyes to work harder. i.e. those punchholes in asian telephone cards.

Carrots only improve your night vision if you're a member of the Royal Air Force. I mean, how can they find the Fatherland's Heinkels in the dark? It must be the carrots. Or radar. But probably carrots. --- If you didn't understand what I was talking about, then read: http://www.snopes.com/food/ingredient/carrots.asp Summary: Carrots don't help vision, unless you are already eating an unhealthy diet deficient in Vitamin A, or just want to PREVENT cataracts and such. Suprise! You got taken in by a 60 year old wartime scam.

i dont think you can improve your eyesight back to 20/20 after wearing glasses for years. Try not using glasses. Most of my friend who refuse to wear glasses, doesnt have their vision deterioate(im 500 degree(dont know the english measurement)) and actually improve slightly.

Moletrap said the following. When you look at screens all day blah blah bad stuff happens so this is how you solve. Focus on a far away thing for 8 seconds then a close thing for 8 seconds and repeat 3-5 times and then close your eyes. Helps prevent strain or something.
