Most of the US population is midwest or east coast, which is a pretty ideal 5/6PM release time for the average working person. Only about 18% of the population lives in Washington/Oregon/California/Nevada/Arizona (and a majority of this is California) and this is reflected in the popularity of west coast based servers.

Warlock DPS looks great now but it's not my thing thematically. Havoc, Marksmanship, Balance and Fury are on my short list but i'm not happy with any of them to the point of being able to play them into BFA yet Since i said that, Balance and Fury got major reworks and MM got a lot of polish. Still hoping for some significant polish if not reworks for Havoc any build now. I'm most likely going to play multiple at 120 for a bit to make a decision

Edit: I went to bed, woke up and that change still isn't on wowhead/mmo champ lol, so many people confused in the comments about overcapping fury. Beta access is nice to do a quick blanket check for changes like that (fury max being increased from 100 to 120) after each build which may not be picked up immediately or even at all by the datamining sites

After the countdown has finished and the timer starts in any Mythic+ dungeon, no gear pieces can be swapped while inside the dungeon. Trying to swap gear in the middle of a Mythic+ key will not work and give you the error "You can't do this right now". Blizzard needs to revert this change or high keys on tyrannical will be impossible for most classes if they cant swap defensive trinkets/azerite gear. Not to mention switching gear/trinkets for single target or aoe.

Not to mention switching gear/trinkets for single target or aoe. That is the point imo. Azerite gear changing how your class plays (even in a small way) is similar to changing talents in M+, which you can't do. I like it, it prevents people from having ST gear, aoe gear, defensive gear, avoidance gear, movespeed gear, etc. There are some downsides, but it makes you focus on picking a best idea for how to get through the dungeon rather than swapping all the time to be the best for each pack.

Agree, i like it. I've found swapping gear 50 times per dungeon via hotkeys and being unable to swap because somebody pulled something at the wrong time and trapped half the group in combat to be really annoying. e.g. i have an aggramar's stride dungeon set and an aggramar's stride world quest set because there's some haste/speed gear that i can't afford to be caught out with if somebody facepulls a boss and drags me into combat at the wrong time. I have several more legendary sets to swap out depending on the amount of enemies that i'm going to be fighting during that combat period, if sephuz can be procced or not etc. Even better - on Havoc you can proc sephuz by imprisoning something (which doesn't put you in combat) and then swap the sephuz off to another legendary which lets you have the other legendary effect and the sephuz proc + sephuz cooldown ticking away simultaneously. You only need to wear sephuz for 1 second every 30 sec to get full use of the proc. I regularly pop sephuz on for runspeed and to get to a new pull, imprison one guy, swap to another legendary and then jump into combat.. sometimes 15 times per instance (so 30 swaps dedicated to sephuz procs). This type of abuse with hot swapping hasn't drawn much attention and rarely gets fixed quickly, this example has been there for almost 2 years. Many people don't do this - very few do, percentage-wise - and they likely don't see the issue but it's really beneficial to your performance to carry around way more gear than you need and hot swap it constantly so a lot of players are being pushed into gameplay that they don't enjoy in order to keep up with hardcore abusers who have half an action bar of alt keys for gear swap hotkeys. I'd rather build setups that are solid all around or biased in a particular way that is beneficial instead of having this thing which does 10% more AOE and 7% less ST but have that not matter at all because i can hot swap it back to the best ST setup before i pull each boss or miniboss anyway. It's one more thing that makes everyone the same nowadays - you can't use effects A and B for a dungeon because some other guy will come along, use A and B on one pull that it's strong for but swap to C on another and outperform you because you didn't swap. Everybody is essentially using the same builds because we can swap a lot of the really important customization on the fly with no cost. There's a reason that we can't do this for talents and that same logic extends to legendaries, azerite gear etc. ---- I'm not feeling great about class design polish going into 8.0, major changes pushed to 8.1 etc :x They tried to make massive changes to all of the specs with the removal of artifacts and legendaries but haven't had enough time to clean up the results or try new things in the areas that they wanted to try new stuff (like the Havoc 7.2.5 rework getting pushed to BFA). In the end i think that the gameplay will suffer for it and it won't have been worth launching a month or two faster from a player's POV.

Not sure how I feel about the gear swapping change. On one hand, it was lame and not fun to micromanage. On the other, Blizzard has a long history of failing to balance around high end play so I don't have a ton of faith in them to do so this time.

To me it seems like they are super unbalanced, with some being really good and some being basically useless which would restrict choice a lot. Maybe I am wrong though, would like to see some opinions. I wanted to try holy priest for bfa but so far it seems like the changes for mistweaver are much better, which is why I will probably stay with that.

Cant stand discord. Anyway from the few things I could gather there people there seemed to have similar opinions like me regarding talent choices, though there is some choice with the lvl 100 talents at least. But seems Circle of Healing and Divine Star still wont be a thing although they make gameplay much more pleasant since you can cast on the move. At least renew buff helps with mobility.

Some classes/specs have basically no representation because of a handful of idiots somehow modding the more popular servers. E.g. paladin server, it's all meme spam and it's not usable at all because of moderators doing @everyone pings for no reason. DH (both specs) was on shaky ground in mid legion and went downhill since then with the same group of nazi mods now controlling two popular servers. Very hard to get good discussion unless you contact a bunch of the good people and make your own social groups

The instant messenger formatting of Discord really doesn't lend itself to dropping in and reading up on long discussions with actual evidence being brought up.
