And the vast majority of guilds raid too late at night for me, even though I'm on the west coast, since I go to bed really early. I do have a loose collection of friends who are active and I think we're gonna actually all try to do heroic uldir on Sundays. If I can make it w/ them then that'll be nice. I have a static group for mythic+ so that's the primary thing I do. On September 22 2018 01:25 Rebs wrote: Didnt you get that when we were in the same grp? That wasnt so bad. Or you mean you had been trying before that? Ive been lucky in terms of time spent. I didnt really try the first couple of weeks because pugs are pretty raw. I think a month odd in HC pug clears on the more regular grps shud be pretty easy. In the meantime,There plenty of gear on high keys. Honestly the Raid gear isn't all that impressive now that tier sets arent a thing. + Show Spoiler + FYI, the second you left on Myth tanks started dieing.. I made a point to let them know what the reason was. Im definately gonna try to get Mythrax this week atleast, it drops my best Azerite piece. which is my biggest upgrade atm, that and pvp trinkets Yeah I had spent time in various groups over the weeks before that group we had together. Also that group was the most egregious example of healers not knowing what they're doing. I can't believe someone would use a raid cooldown to heal fall damage. And when we're wiping repeatedly because tanks are dying, none of the healers would change talents or change playstyle or anything. Just doing the only talents and rotation they know for general raid heals while tanks are dying and the DPS doing mechanics need spot heals.

They always seem to spend half an hour assigning orbs and then testing orb groups, some people screw it up and disband lol I think I got lucky with G'huun. Although not totally luck since we were pulling for 7 hours. I lost a ton of sleep to do it cuz it was a good group and I was having fun. But there was a core group of people who were good players and over time we found reliable orb runners. We had a good strategy and a good person making the calls and giving reminders. So it was just a matter of time before we had a pull where nobody made a stupid mistake. At this point though, a lot of shit groups and shit players can make it to Zul and Mythrax and it's a roadblock. These same players would have no chance on G'huun. I think the quality of pugs you have access to is probably a bit better than what I get with NA alliance and the time of day I play.

That's pretty much why I'm mostly pugging on my main as well, and I'm gonna start joining in on my friends casual raid (they call it a struggle raid) on my alt once in a while when I have time

I had a DH yell at me because he pulled the priestess trash in front of the boss without any active mitigation and died in under 2s. I told him he needed to go into the pull with AM up because otherwise hes getting hit by 8 mobs in the face without it up before he even attempted to put it up.

Especially with voice coms 1 guy can kill a group if they are the RL or the RL doesn't kick them soon enough. I feel pretty much the same way about guilds. The behavior in many primarily-mythic-raiding level guilds and the general maturity level of their players leaves a lot to be desired and i don't think it's worth giving up a portion of your life to have a bad time with a group because most of the people in there are tolerating some loud assholes. It's much more difficult to avoid that section of the population in a 20 man mythic environment than it is in 5-10 man! Some tuning news: https://blue.mmo-champion.com/topic/1101836-prot-warriors-in-81/ https://blue.mmo-champion.com/topic/1101837-azerite-has-failed-for-now/ "We agree that the trait imbalance is a real problem right now. We made a bunch of tuning adjustments last week, and have more planned for the very near future (primarily focused on buffing underperforming traits). We see this as the source of most of the frustrations with the system; if the delta between your best and worst traits wasn't so big, it'd be less frustrating when a piece of Azerite armor doesn't have your best trait on it." The level of imbalance going into the expansion was bizarre; some of our traits were 4-5 times more powerful than others --- They nerfed the insane pack in underrot! Just did it ez, there aren't two matrons at both sides any more. https://www.reddit.com/r/wow/comments/9htwer/theres_no_wall_blocking_thandol_span_in_battle/?sort=top lol

It's much more difficult to avoid that section of the population in a 20 man mythic environment than it is in 5-10 man! My experience has always been very different, but I have also been very careful and lucky I guess. I loved the raiding experience itself with my guild. Fantastically mature environment, skilled players, no fighting or arguing, if the core is mature then assholes get shutdown anyway. Like if I go want to go back to raiding I would lvl and gear a class they need just so I could go back and play with them. Its everything else part that I got tired off. + Show Spoiler + Its funny because when I was chasing top 30-40 back in the day 5 days was so easy. Skip classes, sit for fucking 2-3 days on end post expo release, spam dungeons farm and what not, Now I balk at even committing 6 hours a week. Didnt even bother trying without, But then we were naked for the boss spawn lol Even 8s feel so hard with pugs this week.

In my last group we had beam in p2 before the first feast, thats how fast the orb runners were. We got him to 20% then wiped, on the first pull. The next pull we told the 6th runner to wait until second feast, so he just died to dot dmg while waiting upstairs. We switched his position so the heal monk is last because he can heal himself, but a lock left and the new lock placed the gate wrong so the same guy failed again on his orb duty. Next try gate was correct but the tank managed to get mind controlled by the dark young. We wipe kick the tank, some people start leaving. Group disbands without ever seeing p2 again after first pull.

The boss never felt difficult to me, actually several other bosses in the raid are harder for us. Btw in case you have not done it yet first Mythic boss is completely free, should be very pugable.

I guess Ghuun is one of those bosses where the difference between pug and guild raid is way bigger, probably because of the orbs. Personal responsibility! Voice chat also helps a lot, it can be tricky to keep a good picture of what's happening in the fight when you can't see the orbs or orb runners. I needed to hunt down a specific WA for orb timers after fucking up my guesses for the 5'th time. -- Apparently Helya is still alive... wat
