Based on the other data we have, the sub stuff seems plausible. The 47% drop in 2 months being the most relevant and shocking part. I have friends that played through parts of WOD but dropped BFA after a month.

Imagine not having an interrupt tracker and having to actually memorize and mentally keep track of interrupt CDs My favourite weakauras are the ones that remind me to poison my daggers or tell me I don’t have my pet out lol

Most basic class auras will just re skin Ui elements. Like my basic rogue auras give me a fancy energy/combo point bar. I also have a roll the bones tracker for when I play Outlaw. My point being, if you think of anything that could potentially be useful for your class, there’s most likely an aura for it already. edit: wago advice sniped by 6 seconds

Think about what you want, what your missing currently instead. Need to see cooldowns at a glance without talking your eyes off the center of the screen to see if your standing in fire? Need to know if X is ready, or what your health is? Ask yourself what information you need at hand to play better and go from there.

Purge, Interrupt and AOE stun CD on the left Main action bar close to center screen to keep eyes on character Demonic/Momentum tracker Fel rush + VR cooldown/charge indicators Immolation Aura and Prepared fury/sec buff trackers under them Trackers for the three active azerite powers (furious gaze, revolving blades and thirsting) CD tracker for Meta, trinket and Blur HP + Fury bars center screen, fury bar changes color when at or above 40 fury; that part is Icehud. Most of it is only shown while on cooldown or while active. I played without a lot of that stuff until a few days ago but i've really missed it and it helps! You can do a lot of cool stuff with WA like having dynamic positions depending on if other auras in the same group are active or not.

Agreed, but I think taking inspiration from others is a part of that process and is important to remember. Obviously he shouldn’t blindly copy his favourite player, but looking at that player and going hmm that seems useful I’m gonna use it is something I’ve done a few times. Also that’s a clean setup Cyro

https://wago.io/SkjHi61Bz Then theres an amalgamation of WA's for almost every single spell in every dungeon, though i consider those a bit overkill and like 80% of them are quite useless to track tbh. Unfortunately they arent sorted by dungeons. Still helpful for beginners i think. https://wago.io/r1lqyX32M If you are a bloodelf(or any purge class), this WA shows on nameplates when you can purge something (with arcane torrent). https://wago.io/rkvhCRT7X And of course for 10+ this shows the infested debuff on the nameplates of mobs. https://wago.io/r18N589rQ This is all class indepent basic stuff, not even touching class buffs, procs, rotation etc. If you want to succeed in m+, you should have these. As for the sub discussion, I basically quit, but my account is still subbed for like ever because of tokens. I wonder how many more people there are who pay in tokens and would quit if they had to pay real money.

If they go through a process of cluttering and then uncluttering thats fine too imo, its a useful learning experience if someone is really interested in learning it. Everyone learns differently though so theres no best way I suppose.

Now if I was already 120 and doing raids/M+ I think the slower approach would have been better since completely overhauling my UI/settings out of nowhere would heavily impact gameplay.

You don't get the mythic reward by entering and leaving the dungeon, you have to "win" it.

It's not done for the m+ cache either - there is no source that tells you either that azerite armor drops in the weekly cache, that azerite armor drops at a lower level than stated or that BLP exists which has lead to hundreds of threads from people asking why they got 355 gear from their cache which stated it would give them 365 in the UI. I don't think that it's reasonable to demand that people understand a system with fairly complex rules that hasn't been explained well to them, or even explained at all in some cases.

No, not in the game, that's true. But to argue that this is bad when that's literally how it worked forever (i don't think mechanics were ever explained in game - you always had to look for a deeper insight somewhere else - best example for me is classic and ooc/spirit manareg/5sec rule) seems off. And sorry. It's not explained that you have to win to get rewarded? I always assumed that winning is the prerequisite for being rewarded. He literally is asking for an ilvl 390 weapon because he qeued an arena once and lost it. Yeah sure, rules are somewhat complex, but he doesn't grasp it on literally the most basic level possible. Hell, it even has parallels to raids, where you only get locked to a raid if you kill the first boss, not if you wipe twice and then disband. Win. Get rewarded. Sidenote, i came back to WoW five weeks ago, basically played no legion and have never even touched mythic stuff. I know that azerite armor can drop in the weekly chest - just not guaranteed. There's blue posts literally making that clear. If i, as the filthy casual that i am, know it, i expect someone who actually invests time and effort in the game to do so too. Could it be better explained? Of course, i'm not arguing that. Is that moron there an entitled douchebag that doesn't even try to understand what happened, and even denies it after it's being explained to him? You bet. I don't think that it's reasonable to demand that people understand a system with fairly complex rules that hasn't been explained well to them, or even explained at all in some cases. It is. The other guy that he's talking to understood it, i did, and i bet many others did too. Of course, there can be things that are "foggy" at best, and i agree that sucks. But the case that you linked is as clear cut as it gets, and it instantly got confirmed by his mate that did understand it. edit: just as a clarification, i'm not fanboying here - i have my own issues with WoW that, with this expansion, pissed me off more than with any other expansion before - i'm talking specifically the case you linked. edit2: finally got my Mag'har Orcs too. First hunter for me in like 10 years or something, i assume BM is still the spec to level with?

Some of the worst azerite balance in the game (one trait is worth literally double that of the second best trait), straight up broken gameplay (numbers/playstyle not working as obviously intended and the usual spec flaws that come from inventing a spec and then mostly abandoning it a month later) no word on 8.1 improvements either
