Hey guys,
i have a question. I only play mech. Im in high Diamond. Is it possible to play an agressive mechstyle against zerg. Im not sure.
Evereytime the Zerg gets swarmhosts its nearly impossible to push out (i mean factory mech with starport support).
I know that there are timingattacks for mech like hellbatpush, cylconepush and so on. But if the zerg manages to stay in the game and is getting to swarmhosts he just wins nearly everey game against mech. Can this be countered with factory units or do i have to switch to skyterran which is cancer for the game by the way.....
I know that turtle mech is not viable against Zerg which is good. The only way to play mech against zerg is harrass him as much as possible and then do a timing push.
Are there any ways to have a normal lategame with factoy based mech against zerg?

First of all, what exactly are you asking? For a way to play agressive mech or a lategame composition/ strategy? Furthermore, what does "normal lategame" mean?
|
there is no aggressive mech style against zerg that transitions into the lategame, aggressive openers like the 2 fact cyclone/hellion timing struggle to even transition into the midgame
thers no such thing as a normal late game for mech, and youre going to get rolled in that stage of the game if you focus on aggression in the early game
if you want to win on ladder with mech just build siege tanks, turrets, pfs and mass ravens/bcs behind them. its probably not viable past a certain mmr, but neither is mech so

You can play aggressive mech. We had terrans playing aggressive mech in hots, when swarmhosts were really strong!
The new swarmhost gives you a lot of opportunities, because swarmhosts are not good at defending anymore. Additionally zerg loses supply and resources for other units or tech.
You have a lot of options: banshees, liberators, thor drops, helbat drops, wm drops, hellion runbys, sneaky widow mines, cyclone pushes and so on.
Swarmhosts can't defend all the time and can't be everywhere!
EDIT: Also what is this swarmhost thing?! I never see swarmhosts against mech. I used them once. Had 14-18 swarmhosts and they could not stop the terran mech army. Is there a valid vod of swarmhost vs mech, where swarmhosts win the match?
EDIT2: Regular turtle mech is viable.

Swarmhosts can't defend all the time and can't be everywhere! You are mixing up worker harassment and aggressive play. Aggression includes a push with your main army and a potential (at least) even trade or in a best case scenario the win. The only thing thats fitting in this category are cyclone pushes early game. The rest is harassment.

exactly, and when all mech harass cant be stopped by spines and spores, maybe we will see mech becom viable. but atm it feels really one dimensional. no mneaningful difference between a helion runby and a hellbat drop, spores build in like 20 second and dont need to be morphed from a colony

@ Todespolka
Swarmhosts destroy turtle mech. You get free units and do guaranteed damge to the terran army. The worst case is that swarmhosts attack the terran production. You cant chase them. The only answer is a counterattack which is hard to do as a mechplayer because usually you do a slow push with tanks. Again im talking about factory based mech and not about skyterran.
@ Phaenoman
Im asking if ist possible on higher level to win against zerg with normal factory units and some starport support units in a normal mid to lategame if you play more agressive with mech.
